Booked jacuzzi suite online. Upon check in was offered upgrade to larger jacuzzi suite. I do wish it was shown online as I would have had more time (and time when I hadn't been drinking) to think about the additional $50 cost. I did take it and my husband and I enjoyed ourselves, but would have in the room I originally booked. | The room we took, for $50 more, did smell heavily of cigarettes, but I bring Clorox, candles and bubble bath. I ALWAYS clean my hotel room; which is more than 60 times/year and I have to say...this room was clean (I am an RN, so dirt matters)!| Never had an issue with hot water...and the jacuzzi was huge! The heater/air conditioner worked wonderfully. The fridge kept my food safe. | The toilet clogged with about 30 sheets toilet paper. The foot board on the bed was broken. The bathroom door handle was extraordinarily loose. The microwave was broken. | The rooms give a secluded feeling. Windows open, providing fresh air...dont see that much anymore! The train runs nearby...which I loved! (Wish they made a patio near the train tracks...I'd be BBQing, drinking and inviting my friends...bet many would!) | The staff is super helpful! The guy at check in, which was late at night, was there in the morning...and still super nice and directed us to a great tourist attraction...the train!!| We will definitely return!!! Have already...
Read moreI left my guard down & booked a cheaper motel for this trip....big mistake!!! Our filthy room cost us $78, which was not refunded even after we checked out less than an hour after being in there! Add that to the $178 we paid to have a new room, which we ended up traveling to Harrisburg Marriot for b/c all the hotels in Allentown were full! We had tickets for after 5pm to Dorney Park, our room was to be ready at 3pm (according to the confirmation I received online when booking), we arrived at the Econo Lodge at 430, the front desk clerk said the room was being cleaned & should be ready in 15 mins or so, so we left & returned at 5:05pm, the maid was still cleaning the room, so we took everything back down to our car & went onto Dorney Park, returning after 1030 to our room, to find hair in the sink & tub, floors that had never been vacummed, dried urine & dirt all around the bottom of the toilet! As went went out the door, we were greeted by an unleased Pit Bull & several ppl partying loadly in the parking lot! We were done at that point, my husband took the remote & key back to the clerk & attempted to tell him why we were leaving, he reponsed with "call someone who cares!" This place shouldn't even be aloud to be open! I didn't expect fancy, but it was...
Read moreTHIS WAS ONE OF THE WORSED PLACES WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT. THE DESK PERSON WAS VERY ABRUPT AND APPEARED TO BE UPSET THAT WE MADE HIM STOP TO CHECK US IN. ONCE WE WERE CHECKED IN WE WENT TO THE ROOM AND FOUND IT TO BE SMELLY AND DIRTY. THE TV TURNED ON BUT WE WERE UNABLE TO GET ANY CHANNELS AND THE WE WERE UNABLE TO GET THE FREE WIFI. I WENT TO THE DESK AND TALKED TO THE CLERK WHO POINTED BEHIND HIM ON THE WALL AND SNAPPED THAT THAT WAS THE WIFI SIGN IN. I WAS ABLE TO SIGN IN BUT COULD NOT ACCESS THE INTERNET. THE CLERK CAME UP TO THE ROOM AND WORKED ON THE TV AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO WORK. WE WERE STILL UNABLE TO USE THE WIFI. THE CLERK SNAPPED TO RESET OUR PHONE AND IT WILL WORK. THE SINK DRAINED VERY SLOWLY AND THE DRAIN PLUG HAD BEEN PULLED OUT AND LEFT ON TOP OF THE SINK BEHIND THE FAUCET. THE BATHROOM WAS FILTHY, THE TUB HAD A CAP TO SOMEONE'S RAZOR IN IT AND HAD MOLD ALL AROUND IT. ONE OF THE DRESSER DRAW HANDLES WAS BROKEN. SHEETS AND TOWELS WERE STAINED AND THE SMOKE ALARM KEPT BEEPING ALL NIGHT. PEOPLE WERE OUT IN THE PARKING LOT UNTIL AFTER 12:30 AM MAKING NOISE AND THE SCREEN TO THE...
