Red Roof Inn Allentown South — Hotel in Allentown

I stayed a week in this thin walled, thin floored Inn. Sounds of sex, drunks yelling and coughing after a big hit, kids running up and down the hall way after 10pm, people using the washer and dryer at midnight, which just so happen to be right by my room..was unpleasant. The night front desk gentleman barely spoke English and was rude when when you couldn't understand him. The pencil mustache didn't help his appeal in anyway. My HR department filled out the RR Inn form to pay for my stay but the CC section specifically said not to input the entire CC number (see attached). Once the Inn saw the CC number wasn't complete the rude pencil mustache gentleman threatened to kick me out and put my stuff outside while I was at work. The two day time ladies at the front desk were very helpful and nice. I was extremely grateful to converse and deal with them. There was one other gentleman, I think he was the manager or the owner, I didnt see him much but he was very polite and helpful. All three were very kind and always smiled. I couldn't but respect their kindness. The morning of my last day, I hoped would be an easy exit but....A gentleman of the same nationally as pencil mustache promptly asked me at 9 if I was leaving (check out is at 11). As I made trips to my car he continued to ask me if I was done with the room. Eventually I got annoyed and asked him if he was in a hurry. He didn't reply then turned his back and walked away. There were two other employees that were cleaning rooms, both ladies were very kind and SUPER polite. One even apologized for the man who was being pushy, which I think...

Red Roof Inn Allentown South||||Allentown||||||||TOTAL DUMP FOR $116. No elevator! Bathroom was filthy and falling apart. Floor was dirty so I had to keep my shoes on, sheets are thin and not cotton maybe. Floor was uneven in some places like it had flooded and not been fixed, only covered over…and this was the second floor! I checked the mattress. It was encased but the case was spotted with what looked like mold on the sides. There was other peoples’ hair stuck/glued to the side of the tub. I woke up with my entire face swollen. I didn’t have a choice. Tried to find other pet friendly hotels but all were booked due to a big dog show. I was in the area for that show so had a lot of equipment and a dog who cannot do stairs until she’s 2 and there is NO ELEVATOR! What a nightmare. The whole place was sketchy. I think some people live there full time. I get it, housing is awful in this country but this place felt like it was owned by someone doing the least for residents and guests and charging the most. Oh, there’s an adult toy store next door and I smelled MARIJUANA the entire time. The pool is closed it says “due to COVID” which is beyond ridiculous and I’m the type who still masks. Terrible communication. I called ahead of time to inform them I would be arriving late, would it be ok to check out at noon instead of 11am. Spoke to an Erica and said would make a note, that it would not be a problem. When at check in I waited a while because the attendant was hanging outside. Then again I confirmed with the person who checked us in and said not a problem. Then comes 11 am and someone is calling said we will be charged extra for not checking out at 11. I was furious. I said I communicated I would check out at noon and there was no mention of a fee, or any problem for staying till noon. The lady at check out Saturday morning said "well no one told me you would be staying till noon". NO COMMUNICATION. Then the room in front of me was in the hallways making noise running up and down the stairs at 1'oclock in the morning. It was a horrible stay. The place looks run down. Will not recommend. I was disappointed because it was a convenient place to get to from 78. Then the sign to enter is not easy to see coming late at night not knowing the area well.
