Baymont by Wyndham Athens, TN — Hotel in Athens

If we could give them a zero, we would, The Location of the Hotel was OK , the hotel itself was a joke first off the entrance to it. It is so narrow Can’t even find it. There’s a gas station on one side and a Burger King on the other side and then this I don’t want to call a road but it’s like an alley goes all the way in the back and then you’ll see the hotel, The water pressure in the shower and the sink was very weak, The bar soap It’s so tiny as well as the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. You need at least 10 of them to wash your body and hair. When we asked the lady at the front desk that we needed more because these were not enough for myself and my wife, you can tell she was bothered by asking her, and the breakfast area there’s no seating at all. You have to take everything to your room and eat, which is very inconvenient because they have to make several trips to carry things. They don’t even have small trees for that no toaster very few things that they offer at the breakfast bar and then we have to ask for plasticware lids for the Cups , ran out of cereal they never bothered to fill it up and I was still breakfast time , Again, you can tell by looking at the lady’s face Behind the desk, she was angry because we’re asking for these things whaich they should’ve been provided in the first place? Not to forget, there were some kind of tiny insects by the breakfast bar right on the counter along the edges and under the counter itself disgusting, You don’t see anybody behind the front desk there’s a bell that you have to ring two or three times before somebody comes out and we can tell by looking at the employees it seems like there was a family owned because we can see the wife the husband maybe there parents They live there so it’s a family owned. It did mention that they had a pool but when we got there, we asked and they said they had no pool. We can see a spot where the pool used to be maybe and it’s all filled up with cement, but it’s all fenced. This was by far the worst...

Avoid this hotel at all costs it is not a Baymont by Wyndham it is a Motel 6 and Priceline will advertise it at as a Baymont it is broken down and does not have amenities like other Baymont by Wyndham hotels do. Paid as much as someone would at a hotel in major city and was as misled on Priceline when making reservations. Management claimed since we waited till checkout to file complaint there was not refund, not even a small compensation for lack of amenities. ...

Excellent! Room was immaculate; clean, comfortable bed and pillows; bathroom was clean and stocked and for right off the interstate and behind Burger King it was pretty quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sausage and eggs, muffins and toast, coffee with creamer and sugars. I didn't look at everything but pretty sure there was cereals, waffles and fruit. This is definitely my new place to stay when I come to Athens to see one...
