Super 8 by Wyndham Athens — Hotel in Athens

If I could give this place a negative it would get a negative 10, these owners are extremely racist, even tho they are from the land of sand and their skin is a little dark themselves these people are racist against people of color, my sister and brother in law were staying here with their 1 year old son, offered my brother in law a job to pay for their stay until they saw him walking across the parking lot with my Husband and step son who are Black, once my brother in law was seen with my husband they refused to give the job then began harassing my sister and brother, while my brother and nephew were asleep the women unlocked their door WITHOUT knocking and thank God he had the latch on she then demanded him to open the door, asking who was in the room, then they asked my brother who the black people were and my brother told them that is is brother in law and nephew and he was told no it wasn't they were a different color, then last night me my husband son and nephew go visit and as we were leaving the room these 2 white women were next to our car and not one of us said a word or even looked at them, yet this morning as I was visiting my sister my husband and brother walked to the store then this woman began beating on the door demanding my sister to open it, my sister opens the door she says who are all these people and why they here? I stand up and say I'm here cause my sister was needing help my son is in the bathroom and my husband just walked to the store with her husband to get them a few this is there a problem? She told my sister you owe me 360.00 today by end of the day or you get out after my sister just paid the woman 107.00 dollars, granted she was 3 days behind b4 she paid them the 107 this morning and they were to pay 71 dollars per day, if I'm not mistaken that's 211 dollars not 360 and I just gave you 107 so1therefor she should only owe you 104 which I can pay now if you would like oh no she owes 360 by end of day or get out so we leave to figure out if we can help more to be gone 20 min amd my sister calls and say we have to pay by 1 or leave cause the white women were uncomfertable and scared cause 3 black men left my room made no eye contact with said women nor spoke to said women but get into their vehicle and leave. So my Sister was kicked out of the room with my 1 ywar old nephew because her sisters family is black and came to visit. Best believe i am contacting the better business burea and tge naacp about this, so i warn you if you are a person of color or your family is please stay far from here. We are currently staying here and this is our 3rd week. They ask if our rooms need new linens daily, they always meet our needs, we eat a small breakfast with coffee and juice every morning. They offer to clean for us but if not, they give us any cleaning supplies we need if we choose to do it ourselves. They are ALWAYS friendly to my children and even let them act like they are helping when they are cleaning. The trash is always emptied so we can take our room trash out to the big can. They have big trash cans accessible. They have a very nice pavilion for grilling with picnic tables on one side and a nice little grass patch that my kids love to play on with their balls on our side with a picnic table as well. It is a very peaceful area and everything (Walmart, gas stations, sports stores,etc) is less than 2 miles. The recreational park is less than half a mile from the motel which offers a soccer field, baseball field, fishing area, duck pond, volleyball net, and much much more. I recommend this motel and will stay here as long as this job allows...

Room was pretty good except doors that can go to rooms next door (they do lock) that you can hear everything through. Our neighbors caughed and hacked like the were infected with a zombie virus and they had a darn bird that squawked up into the night and woke up to it scratching and making noises that you could tell the owners places directly by this door when they arrived about 10pm. Got checked in and tv wouldnt pick up any channels but basketball. Tried to change channel and it said no service and check cable. Called front office and she was nice but said she didnt know anything about it and she was sorry, so there was no tv. Wanted to change rooms but my kids were already asleep from a 5 hr drive. Got up to eat their breakfast which consisted of a cinnamon roll OR apple Or muffin. Sign said 1 per customer. Not much of a breakfast.
