Overall my stay was less than I expected from a Fairfield Inn. The facility was newer so it still looked well maintained. The room was large and clean. The linens and towels were clean and fresh. The breakfast was probably the worst I've had at a hotel of this caliber as all the food, except the waffles, was the pre-made variety you find at the cheapest hotels. The check-in was good but the night desk clerk (a young female Hispanic) should be reprimanded for her attitude toward a situation that happened. As my wife and I were getting an early coffee on Sunday she asked us how we liked the breakfast. We told her it wasn't the best breakfast, but when my wife told her about the kitchen staff not wearing their mask and sneezing openly in the food serving area, she became immediately unfriendly, defensive of the worker (she didn't even ask which worker it was as if she already knew,) and dismissed it as inconsequential, instead talking about how good the food was, and how it was an upgrade from what they used to serve. Later that morning as we entered the dining area for breakfast, the server again was not wearing her mask. I left my wife in the dining area, approached the front desk and asked this same clerk if she would have the server put on her mask. She quickly became agitated, argued with me, telling me the server had her mask on (she didn't) and then accused me of being aggressive toward her. She even told me to leave the hotel. I will admit that I became firm with her in wanting her to do what I believe is her job, but at no time did I become aggressive or threatening toward her. At this point the server did put on the mask so I walked away to get breakfast. The next morning when we were checking out, my wife told this same clerk she didn't appreciate her attitude and response toward us regarding the incident the previous morning. At this point she again became agitated and proceeded in an elevated voice to tell my wife it was me who was at fault by being aggressive toward her and she "couldn't understand how my wife could put up with me" as if I'm an abusive husband! She once again told us we could leave the hotel. When my wife asked her for her name, she refused saying she didn't have to give it to us.
All in all, a memorable but unpleasant stay at...
I had stayed here for a night on a weekday using my points. Upon arrival, the woman helping immediately told me they didn't allow check-in at 12pm, i had told her i had checked in online via the app and requested a 12pm check in time. After pulling up my reservation, I assume she went to check with the manager in the back. I told if she can't check me in that is fine I will leave but she somehow was able to get me in now with her manager checking what she was doing right next to her. So I got my room keys, and was put on the top floor in the corner. Going through the stairs I realize how unclean it was, it really needed to be vacuumed big time. Upon getting into the room, everything there looked clean but I felt could be better. Having stayed at other Fairfield Inn's, I know what hotel is new and which is not, so and so forth. This being a newer style hotel, it felt like an older one. Like the rooms are clean but it's not the same kind of clean as I usually see at the other hotels. Although I will say Fairfield Inn's are on the low range of the Marriott hotels so my expectations aren't even high to begin with. The bathroom is what got my attention the most and it would be the main highlight for my review. The molding in the shower is starting to show cracks and a lot of residue is still stuck on the bottom mold of the shower. I felt kinda disgusted by it but obviously stuff like that doesn't just happen overnight, it takes time to build up. Just seeing that along with the stairway being dirty still, it made me think just how clean this hotel really is. I don't know how the complimentary breakfast will be but I decided to skip that after seeing what I've seen. Overall my stay was okay, but i wouldn't come back here after seeing how unclean the shower was. The front desk is nice but I'm just taken aback by the mention of not being able to check me in and then letting me check in. I feel if I were paying for my stay with my own money, I would expect a bit more and a clean let room for sure. I think this place is good for a night stay or two at most, just don't have high expectations...
Read moreEDIT at the end of review! We stay at this Fairfield all the time. The staff is wonderful!!! The king suite is nice and roomy. Only room you can’t hear the doors slam shut from inside. Comfy mattress and clean rooms. The pool is awesome during the summer and the fire side tables are nice during the cool evenings of fall. Breakfast is okay, I’m just limited on what I can eat. My favorite item is the mini quiche bites. No rifraf and druggies about the property. We like to stay third floor on the south pool side. The sunrise was badass! Edit. We haven’t stayed there since last summer. It was disappointing. The room was dirty. There was an unpleasant scent and the rooms are noisy. Anytime a door is opened you can hear it slam shut. A lot of construction workers use this as a work hotel. Which is a new addition. Not a problem if you don’t mind sharing the pool with a dozen or more dudes drinking beer for 6 hours IN the pool. Literally waited to see if they wore themselves out so my kids could go down and enjoy the pool. Nope they were in there 6 hours and didn’t see one of them fellas leave to empty the beer from their bladders into a toilet! Ya I sat there and watched and read my book. My kids watched a movie and we ordered pizza. Only cost me 170 to watch a bunch of beer guzzlers man spread in the pool all day. I tried to get my money back in the first hour but I was told no as we had been in the room too long. I explained we just came over for the pool and was told oh they are really nice guys and drinking is allowed in the pool. So if you don’t mind that go ahead. I don’t mind men and I appreciate their hard work but the last time we went to this pool and it was taken over by work crew, I was asked where they could find some strippers while looking at me and my daughter. It was really gross. I guess once...
