The only reason I'm giving it a 1 is because the property is well maintained, but the front desk clerk was the worst clerk I've ever encountered. He was rude, unprofessional, and down right disrespectful. I merely asked one question and the guy got so angry he told us hit the door and find another hotel and don't let it hit us on the way out. I asked him if I could see a manager, he replied call 1800 motel, so I went outside and called the number I found on the internet. They were very nice, helpful and filed a formal complaint for me. However I have yet to hear from anyone it's been a week. That day we drove 18 hours, exhausted and shocked that we were told to leave after customer service went above him and got us the room he lied about, he was even more furious, and barred us from the property. Yet if we were so disruptive why didn't he call the authorities? My point exactly is we weren't District ruptive at all all they had to do was watch the camera and see that we barely got one sentence out and he did all the Talking finger pointing and I rate attitude and everything else needless to say I called my Old Faithful the Quinta returns number and explain to them what had just happened and believe it or not we were graced with a free room for the night they felt so terrible at Motel 6 did to us and how they treated us that they gave us a room they went above and beyond what it takes for customer service to be satisfactory. I will never go back to Motel 6 and I've been at Motel 6 for a long time Motel 6 is gone downhill even though their chains have moved up and the hotels are looking better people needs practice and professionalism and respect but since they don't seem to be up to par with what it takes to run a business and to be courteous and respectful professional at all times they lost me as a client never again will I go back to Motel 6 especially since neither manager bothered to call and even check on the situation all they had to do was watch their own videos that's if they even have them thank you Motel 6 for a very valuable lesson in life sometimes there is no right sometimes there's no wrong but the right thing to do is turn around and walk away from a situation and that's exactly what I did if that's a crime and I guess I committed the biggest one but if there's a crime and treat your customers like he treated us with and he created a big crime and committed one as well I wish you well Motel 6 and I hope that you get your people together and this doesn't happen to anyone else that had driven a long ways to rent a...
Read moreI will never ever spend my money at Motel 6 again.. I paid for a Queen size room with two Queen size beds. Checked-in and came back to a full size room with two full sized beds. When trying to talk to Juan the supposed manager on duty, he dismissed the error even though I had proof of the confirmation receipt. He showed me a room he could possibly get me the next day but wasn't available our first night (although the room was empty). Also, while viewing the room there were small roaches. I informed him of what I saw and he dismissed that too stating he would get it sprayed but then continued to not help me same night... when asked if it was at his discretion to give me my money back since only being In the room 10 minutes. He said yes and that he was not going to refund me the money.. since he couldn't rent the room to anyone else..he became very defensive, sensitive because of how stupid he looked and sounded and threatened to call the police.. I told him to call the police in which he did.. I grabbed my family and waited in the lobby for the police.. two police officers arrived and of course in a small town they are home grown and provided no support. Well I correct myself one of the police officers tried to help a little.. but I still received a trespassing violation. How embarrassing. I tried asking for the corporate number and the jerk upfront by the name of Juan said I could google it... the entire staff was inconsiderate, disrespectful and obviously only used to a certain caliber of people.. My two boys were in awe on how awful the service and the majority of Balch Springs residents acted and treated us our entire weekend stay.. Read moreThe front desk lady was the nicest person and most helpful when she could be! However the other staff the only interaction I had with them was when they were getting yelled at by who I believe to be the owner based on the way they were dressed and no name tag. Regardless who it was the most unprofessional experience in my life. My two year old daughter and I were drinking coffee in lobby waiting for the pool to open and had to leave the area because I felt uncomfortable while that was going on. On top of that there was a serious ant problem in the lobby coming in from the window. The window had a big fire ant hill in the corner and they were all over the lobby floor by the front door. The hotel was not the cleanest. The room was also not the cleanest. The bathroom shelf under the sink looked it hadn't been cleaned since it was installed. The air conditioner was missing the front panel where the air blows out and the curtains had a rip in them. Not to mention all the leaves on the floor when we first walked into the room. We were there for such a short stay and in that time I personally would not return to this location. I could have don't a Priceline express deal and paid them for their service and had a better hotel. The last thing that upset me about the hotel was at 10 when my daughter was taking her nap it was interrupted by room service calling to see when I was checking out. I told them at check out time which online was listed as 1200. At 1130 room service knocked and opened the door before I could get to it and again interrupted my daughters nap and came in without my permission!! They proceeded to tell me check out was 1100 even though I should then what was listed online they said it was wrong.
