July, 2025 5 Stars – A Perfect Family Getaway Near Acadia!

My family and I had an amazing stay at Acadia Woods Cottages and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how immaculately clean and well-maintained everything was. The cottage was cozy, comfortable, and had all the essentials for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The location was incredibly convenient—just a short drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, but tucked away enough to offer peace and quiet after a day of exploring. It truly felt like a home away from home.

What made our stay even more special were the on-site activities. There was so much for the whole family to enjoy, including ping pong, outdoor games, evening campfires, and even a private hiking trail that led to a beautiful stargazing field—a magical experience for the kids and adults alike.

This place is a hidden gem for anyone looking to experience the natural beauty of Acadia in a warm, family-friendly setting. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend to anyone...

The place is new and my wife & I stayed at the cottage known as Popplestone Point. It was clean and comfortable. Ordinarily, I would have given it 5 stars, but we had a difficult time having our $500 security deposit returned. It took weeks and multiple follow ups with the owners before it finally got resolved. The owner apologized and sent an email, offering to waive the deposit and provide a discount code for a future visit. We are returning to Bar Harbor this October, and I asked them by way of several emails, a letter and also Facebook Messenger, but all communications were ignored. This was the CUTEST place I've ever stayed! Everything was clean, comfortable, and they really thought of everything (the washer/dryer, detergent pods, dish soap, kitchen utensils, etc.). The furnishings were really modern and beautiful too. Location was great, it was easy to find, and Penny was super responsive to our questions. We especially appreciated the games in the cabin - it was silly but my husband and I played Uno every night and never once turned on the TV during our stay. The screened-in porch out front was great too - my husband is a little less comfortable with wildlife than I am so he appreciated being able to be "outside" but still have that barrier :) We would definitely...
