Rooms were phenomenal - private bathrooms, most comfortable bed ever and delicious breakfasts! The sheets were crisp, blankets were plush, and the towels were ultra fluffy! Tiny soaps from a Maine company supplied in the bathrooms and they smelled so good. Cozily tucked into a back road, no loud traffic noise, and right on the ocean. Best stargazing and sunrise watching I've ever seen. They have a few seating areas arranged off of the back porch area - some on the back lawn, two on a fenced ledge for the absolute best view, and of course the pebbled beach below the ledge. Happy hour was so fun! Thank you for the great wine! It was so nice to be able to bundle up, look at the stars without light pollution, and then come in and sit in the sauna. We were so close to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor, but not so close that we were in the middle of traffic or anything. Such a convenient place to stay! We stayed in room 4 -- blue room. Everything was immaculate and cleaned to perfection. I sat on the back porch drinking my coffee and reading my book and no one was around. There was plenty of room to stretch out and relax without feeling like everyone was packed in. Coffee/tea bar is available all the time and there are homemade cookies available in the afternoons/evenings. Such a fun, relaxing place to stay. Thank you so much to Dax and Sarah for creating such a great atmosphere!

My husband and I stayed at the Inn At Bay Ledge for a week in early June as Part 2 of our honeymoon trip. Our stay was absolutely wonderful in every possible way! The cottage we stayed in was the epitome of cozy and warm, even despite the dreary rainy weather outside. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, private, and adorably decorated. The inn itself was also absolutely beautiful. The sunroom for breakfast was bright and warm, the outdoor veranda had beautiful views and comfortable furniture, and the beach below the inn was picturesque Maine. The prepared breakfasts were always delicious, and we definitely enjoyed having access to tea and a freshly baked snack in the afternoon. The thought of coming back to homemade baked goods definitely got us through some tough hikes throughout the week! The owners, Sarah and Dax, are incredible people. Throughout our week at their inn, we had the pleasure of talking with them about the region, as well as various life experiences, and we looked forward to these conversations. They had awesome recommendations for hiking trails, local restaurants, and other things to do in the area. Their warmth, friendliness, and hospitality was so appreciated and really made our stay feel that much more like home. I absolutely cannot recommend this B&B enough! We look forward to future trips here in years to come <3

For our first visit to Maine, my husband and I wanted to explore areas near Acadia National Park and stay nearby. After lots of research, we chose the Inn at Bay Ledge due to its convenient location, 5 Star reviews and amazing views. Many B&B's are not right on the water or have such amazing views like this wonderful Inn. The Inn and Bay Ledge has a path that you walk down, including several sets of wooden stairs, that lead you to a rocky/gravel path and the most spectacular cliff with an ocean created arch. It was tranquil, breathtaking and memorable. Dax and Sarah were attentive to all of the fine details. Check in is at 4 pm. We arrived before that and they allowed us to drop off our luggage and we proceeded to explore the area. Upon check-in we were greeted by happy hour with homemade cookies and drinks. For our fabulous breakfast, the next morning we were served muffins, yogurt parfaits, eggs, and a selection of teas or coffee. One morning we had a yummy French toast dish. We love the experience of a B&B where you meet people from all over. We shared a table with another couple and learned all about their trips to the area. Many have been here before and have recommendations on where to dine and sight-see. We will come back for sure to enjoy the lovely inn that Dax and Sarah created!

My wife and I had never stayed at an actual bed-and-breakfast before we decided to stay at the Inn at Bay Ledge and let me tell you we are so thankful that we did. When we began searching for places to stay for our honeymoon in Bar Harbor, we did quite a bit of searching. Once we stumbled across Dax and Sarah’s place, we knew this looked like the place to stay. We sent a few emails with a couple of questions we had which were promptly answered. This is when we finalized our decision and booked our stay. When the day finally arrived for our trip and we arrived at the inn, we were immediately enthralled with the location before even meeting Dax, Sarah, and Stanley or seeing our room. We arrived a few hours after the official check-in time, but Dax and Sarah communicated well with us and still graciously welcomed us when we arrived, chatted with us for a moment, showed us to our room, and bid us goodnight. We brought our luggage in, got settled, and were pleasantly surprised to find a sweet note and roses left for us by Dax and Sarah congratulating us on our marriage and thanking us for choosing them for our honeymoon destination. Let me say that no matter what room you choose at the inn you will not be disappointed. The inn is situated in a beautiful, private location with stunning views. We could not believe how beautiful the grounds were, and the views of Frenchman Bay were incredible. To top it off, the private rocky beach below the inn made for a fantastic stroll while enjoying the sunset. My wife and I actually chose this location to share our personal vows with each other and it made for a very personal, private, and intimate location that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Along with the stunning views and cozy rooms, the hosts were some of the sweetest and most gracious people we’ve come across in our travels. It will be very hard for us to go back to staying in Airbnb’s and hotels. The room was clean and comfortable. Dax and Sarah respected our privacy while also keeping us comfortable and the room clean. They were also fantastic company with great recommendations about the area and hiking trails. Also, Stanley was a fantastic entertainer who we wish we could have hung out with more. Dax and Sarah’s breakfast was scrumptious every single morning and was a great way to start each and every day before exploring the harbor, Acadia, and the surrounding area. If we ever make it back to Maine, which we hope we do, the Inn at Bay Ledge will be at the top of our list. We wish Dax, Sarah, and Stanley a long and prosperous career...

This was our first trip in years due to my battling significant health issues, and we were so happy that we chose this lovely Inn for our short vacation! As an immunocompromised person and with COVID still circulating and a bit more freely than ever, I was concerned that we wouldn't be able to enjoy the space nor the breakfast without endangering my life, but goodness was I wrong! Not only was there zero judgment in our mask wearing at a time when few are masking, but the Innkeepers were so understanding and kind, and offered to mask around us when we were checking in, should we feel more comfortable...which was so very considerate. The Innkeepers also went above and beyond to ensure that my dietary needs were met as someone who's allergic to wheat, and both my husband and myself enjoyed delicious breakfasts safely outside on their gorgeous porch overlooking the bay. The room we stayed in was equally as beautiful and comfortable (with stunning views!), and while I was too wimpy to dive in, my husband claims that the pool (though cold) was very refreshing on a hot day! The private pebble beach was a sight to behold as well, and really makes this property all the more magical.

In all, we truly enjoyed the company of the Innkeepers, their adorable pup Stanley, and had a lovely time exploring the grounds and many activities within a short drive from the Inn. We were so happy to have stayed in this peaceful setting versus within the hustle and bustle of the Main Street area, and we most certainly plan to be...
