Stayed here during hurricane Lee for one night. We checked in, for 200$/night, and our TV didn't work. I told the front desk clerk and she said she'd come look. 40mins later we were heading to town and told her it's okay for her to look while we were out. We were gone for 3 hrs and come back, still broken and not even a note to indicate she came to look (I highly doubt she did). The bath drained so slow that within a few minutes of showering your feet are submerged, and when we woke up, the wifi was off. It's only 15minutes out of bar harbor but far enough to feel like you're out in the boonies.

It’s all about expectations! This place is ideal for anyone going to visit Arcadia or nearby areas on a budget! It’s nothing fancy or modern, there are drill holes in some walls and some rust in the tiles. BUT, it’s clean, smells pleasant, bed is decent with plenty of pillows, bathroom with plenty of towers/hot water, there is a fridge, microwave and decent sized tv, as well as a table for two with coffee maker available. They also have great customer service, as we came after 9pm (when office closes) and we were still able to pick up our key/check-in the next morning.

It keeps the rain off, but that's about all that can be said for it. The room was very dark with only some dim table lamps, the walls are cracked, towels are stained, and the room had an odor to it that even leaving the windows open all day didn't clear out. Towel bar fell apart every time you took or returned a towel. Microwave and mini fridge in the room, though the fridge barely shut off the whole time I was there. Staff was courteous enough, but this place is definitely Not Fancy.

We stayed in room 12 on our visit to Mount Desert Island. The office staff was very friendly and accommodating. We called ahead when we realized we would be arriving much later than planned and they thoughtful made plans for us to access our room even though the office closed at 9pm. The rooms are a little warn and definitely not "on trend" but they are very clean, well maintained and secure/safe. We could see that the owners are makeing small updates over time as the bathroom vanity appeared to be brand new. We only had two complaints. One is that the A/C unit cooled wonderfully but it didn't dehumidify worth a darn so bath towels and sweaty clothes did not dry and dry clothes felt damp. The second would be a need for an exhaust fan in the bathroom, the wall paper above the shower stall was starting to peel and mold from the accumulated moisture. Opening the window helps somewhat but our room than filled with bbq smoke from the restaurant next door (which was not nearly as pleasant as you think it would be). Overall this is a great little hotel that we would gladly stay at again. PS. This hotel is in a great location. The campground next door is a stop (infront of the arcade) on the free trolley system that takes you all over the island. The bbq restaurant on the other side of the hotel serves great breakfasts with out a wait. Next to the restaurant is a homemade icecream shop (!!!!) and across the street is an elaborate putt...

We got to the lobby and waited 30 minutes and rang the bell at the desk 3 times with nobody near or around to answer. We found an envelope with our name and let ourselves in since it was after check in and fully paid. We got into the room and there were multiple flies and a slider in the bed. The lady in the front started getting annoyed and mad at us when we asked for the wifi yelling it was in a picture frame, yet we still could not find it even after being told that. There are no lights at the street and dark property so it is very easy to pass. We were excited to use the pool except to see it was not open and had the fence inside it. Seems this place is not worth the money in the slightest bit. Also to mention the battery pack to one of the rooms was open with no batteries in it. Definitely go somewhere else if you're looking yo stay here...

Seen online. Read reviews. Booked by phone. Area is good. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Rooms are pricey old and in need of updating Lightbulbs out. Tv wouldn’t work at check in . Lady at desk said someone would be down to room. Nobody came. Had to go back in the evening an remind desk person. Maintenance came at 830pm. Appeared to be a bad cable. Paint over old wallpaper. Drop down ceilings are terrible. Rusty and need replaced. Old 1970’s air unit. But it did work. Grab and go continental breakfast consisting of dole fruit cup. Packaged hard boiled eggs. Pre package bagel or muffin. Small wafer filter coffee machine in rooms only. Outdoor property run down, has old cars out back. A camper that must be used by hotel owners or staff and a brown swimming pool that probably hasn’t been open for years. A positive note that the rooms...
