Most incompetent, childish, and dingy workers at a Motel 6 I have ever witnessed. They are running A-SCAM. They are overcharging rooms ON PURPOSE. The woman that is always at the front desk DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER JOB. If anything she needs to be fired. Literally. What happened: Initially, I was charged the regular rate of $51.00 per night but was then ghosted-literally âghostedâ the next day when I tried to renew my stay. The main front desk-lady (indian) who is always there vanished for almost 12 hours (from 11 a.m. check out time) after she claimed someone was coming to renew the rooms and it was the manager. And only THE MANAGER could do it. Yawn⌠So after waiting and waiting and checking to see if she is back, constantly, and in between time; finally around 3 a.m.-the following day, there is a knock. But a very loud one at that. So I get up and before I can put my shoes on, the door was kicked in?! Wow. But by guests who were under the impression-the room WAS EMPTY??? facepalm All in all, the front desk registered a new room under the same room as mine, when it was still occupied. But occupied by the individual she was suppose to inform of, her return so I could renew the stay. Strike 1. So upon returning downstairs to the front desk to inform the lady that someone was trying to get into my room, she decides to play the fool and keeps acting as if she doesnât know what I am talking about, or why I was up there. Luckily at the time, some very older person was up front (assuming it was the manager) Doing the check-ins and was able to charge me right away for the extension. but by that time it was THE NEXT DAY. As in: because of her original incompetence, I was given a free stay. Strike 2. So the next 8 hours goes by, and the guest who originally had the wrong room, got a-room. But here comes 11 a.m. and the front desk lady comes tapping on the door angrily. Upon opening the door, she has this attitude because she is saying âI need to check outâ when really-it was her mistake for not checking me out and then checking me back in, to extend my stay. She proceeds to raise her voice, and threatens to call the police. So after calming down the situation (not necessarily her) she then tries to show me on her ipad where she charged around 3 a.m. for that days stay. As in I was charged for the day after the day she decided to really abandon-her-post, and I repeatedly told her I do not have to check out. Because of her mistake. She proceeds to call her âmanagerâ who-come to find out is a relative, and they try to push off the conversation and say I have to check out. Probably the same dumb older person who claimed that my stay was charged correctly and the free stay was out of courtesy/gesture. Okay. And so, she proceeds to still threaten me with calling the police and saying I have to leave. I proved to her, that there was a charge for today. That SHE DID. And even then, her silly manager couldnât come to her aid when she couldnât figure out she messed up an entire transaction. I was overcharged $90.00. My bank still had it pending even when I simply offered to check out and go about my way. I showed her that and she proceeded to keep saying âyou have to leave.â I walked out of their office after a third time if trying to convince this lady she has really messed up, and upon going back to check on my things, the guests who had trouble with getting a new room were sitting at their U-Haul still waiting on a new room. The time lapsed has been a full 16 hours. I asked one of them (the guests) what was going, and they said that front desk-lady charged them for another night and proceeded to tell them âto leaveâ on the morning of the second night. The second night of their stay. Remind the reader. For no particular reason WHAT-SO-EVER. They were only 3 rooms away. No noise. No nothing. Strike 3. In conclusion: this Motel 6 needs to be SHUT DOWN. Its a consumers first-waste of time. No only that? They have loner weirdos (yelling al night) staying in the suites rooms on the first floor who should have been kicked...
Read moreAvoid this place, I reserved a room here through expedia and I called this place to confirm my reservation and to let them know I would be arriving late, the desk clerk told me he has my reservation and assured me they would hold my room since I had paid in advance. When I arrived the clerk I spoke with was there and asked for my confirmation number I had trouble finding it at first but I found it and gave it to him, he told me I didn't have a reservation there and he denied speaking with me on the phone. I showed him the number I called which was his number and the time of the call. He showed me his computer monitor that read: No results found. He told me I had to have expedia call him since I made the reservation with them. After about 20-30 minutes I got through to a live agent. I could hear the agent telling him the confirmation # he kept saying he couldn't understand her and I said I can hear her from the other side of his plexiglass cage and I wrote the numbers down which was the same confirmation # I gave him, he still said he doesn't have it on his system. She was giving him another ID# and again he couldn't understand her I wrote that number down also. He wanted me to pay for the room in cash only. I refused saying you already got paid, he said no I showed you, you have no reservation here. At this point I was getting mad and I told the expedia agent the guy is crooked and is trying to rent the room out again. He told me I couldn't stay here now and I should leave or he's calling the police. I said good because I won't have to call them in that case and he pretended like he called the police faking a conversation even. He said to leave because the police are on the way, I said great because you're a thief and the expedia agent is still on the phone and she was after 20-25 minutes I said it sure is taking them a long time to get here. And I half stepped out of the office and was holding the door open and he kept telling me to close the door. I refused and then he says I'll call the police and I said I thought you already did. He said I'm calling right now. I started laughing at him saying you mean you faked calling them? Did you think I was going to run away so you can steal my money? During this time the expedia agent says I've been calling him and he won't answer his phone I said I'm not surprised. Long story short this Motel 6 is run by a crook who is trying to steal money from the people that stay here. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that he is involved in identity theft, credit card fraud and whatever else he can steal by fraud, probably makes false damage reports or missing items reports too. The police did finally show up because I wasn't leaving until an officer came and I told the policeman what was happening and showed him what the expedia agent was saying and he went and talked to the clerk but the clerk said he has no reservation for me. I told the officer more than likely he deleted it. The officer agreed but with no proof of that there's nothing he can do and the officer said that this place is pretty bad and you don't want to stay here for free, I agreed and he told me directions for a better place for about the same price, slightly higher so I took his advice and he was right.    Read moreA few hours after I checked in, I noticed there was a lot of noise coming from the room next door to mine. It sounded like kids were throwing things, jumping on and off the furniture and screaming. I'm certain either the kids were being supervised or the parents were high on drugs because I discovered the dad of the kids going back and forth from his room to a woman's car in the parking lot (she wasn't staying there) and she was rolling joints for him and he was giving her cash. Also there was a lot of weed smoke coming from that room which means the kids were exposed to drug paraphernalia. I called the police. I don't know what they ended up doing. The night of the first day I stayed there, I called the office and spoke to a young woman and told her there's way too much noise coming from next door. She said she will call them. After about 15 minutes, the noise stopped for a little less than a half an hour then it started up again. These people made noise of banging on the walls and furniture and screaming from 6am until 1-2am the next day for three out of the four days I stayed there. I complained about these people three times. If I was in charge of the place I would've thrown them out. I hated dealing with the manager that lived there because his English was hard to understand and he kept treating me like I was some major problem. If he had taken care of those people in that room then I would've stopped bugging him. The first room I was in needed major repairs. The bathtub didn't drain at all and it was dirty. The vanity wall socket wasn't secured into the wall. The towels needed to be thrown away; they had smeared black stains on them that were permanent like people were using them to do repairs and stuff on cars. The sliding door had no lock on it. Finally I was moved to a nicer room on my fourth day. However it came with a new set of issues: noise from people's "visitors". Apparently half the people at the motel live there and visitors came frequently. Instead of having conversations in their room or going somewhere else, they did all their loud talking outside and kept me awake all night. The property has no security whatsoever. The manager never leaves his apartment to walk around and observe all the garbage everywhere, loitering and drug use going on. Many times I went to see the manager and he would never come to the counter or answer the phone. And paying for wifi, by the way,...
