In short I would not stay here. When we arrived at the room, small things that show attention to detail like no batteries in the remote control, the phone was not connected at all (good thing we have cell phones but still) and we were not given a room key and were told that if we needed in the room, to let them know. Within a couple hours we were made a key when we told the staff that we thought it was pretty ridiculous that we could not get in and out of our own room without having to get the staff involved. It's a hotel, this is what you do....supposedly. I had a feeling things wouldn't be great when we got off to this start. Batteries we're never brought nor checked up on. I will be honest and say for the most part, we ran into no other problems. The actual managing staff we're fine. They were helpful, nice and courteous. However, when we left I had left a brand new pack of cigarettes behind. I know its just 7$ for a pack of cigs but its the principle behind this matter and what unfolded. So not even 2 minutes after we left I called back, spoke with the manager and informed her that we just left and I was turning around to come and get my cigarettes. She said no problem. When I returned to the room which was already being cleaned by an older Hispanic woman, I know enough Spanish to ask her if she had seen ANY cigarettes left behind. She replied no. I started looking through the room. I continued to ask her and said we just left, I don't see how they could've disappeared already. She told me they we're probably thrown away. So I started taking the garbage bags off her cart to see if I could find them but OUR trash cans had no been emptied yet. I again asked her in Spanish if she had seen ANY cigarettes left behind. She told me that they were thrown away and that THAT trash had already been picked up. All this happening within the two minutes after driving off at checkout time and discovering they were missing? I don't think so. I happened to glance at the top area of her car and hidden underneath a few other food things were my cigarettes and lighter. She had them the whole time. When I went and told the office, they made excuses for her and asked me not to write this up on the internet. I told them that I was going to anyways because dishonest people shouldn't be working for them and writing this here would be encouragement to make them reevaluate their staff. When the cleaning lady who took my cigarettes came down to the office, she gave them another story saying that they had been left outside and therefore could have belonged to anyone. True, but we were in room 201 at the very end in the corner and IF they we're left outside, they were left on OUR window ledge. In addition to that, I asked her several times if she had seen ANY ANY ANY cigarettes and she answered no. Then told me they had been thrown away and that the trash truck had come and picked up that trash. All within two minutes. I took firm stance in calling her a liar as she was giving the manager another story. Sadly, the management took her side somehow in this. What if it had been my wallet? Credit cards? Something of greater value? It's not the value of the cigarettes here that is the point I'm making, its that there are dishonest cleaning ladies working here that can access the rooms. I will never stay here again and I do not recommend anyone else does. If you do, leave anything of value in your car, locked up and DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND or when you leave to go anywhere. The staff was nice and helpful until the very end. It was disappointing to see them not see the point I was making. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOUVE BEEN WARNED!!!! LOL I would rather try another place and pay a few dollars more and feel secure. This was the one and only time I will ever stay here. I would've given a couple stars for the management staff because they were nice up until the end when they slammed the glass door on my face and told me to go ahead and do my write up then. I have to give at least one star to even post this so,...

Read moreI booked this Hotel on Kayak because it has high customer ratings, and Kayak gave it 3 stars out of 5. Yes 3 stars. I looked at all 28 reviews and all of the pictures... WOW a total deception. We drove up and noticed that this hotel is on a service road off the main highway. The hotel is surrounded on both sides with run down apartment after apartment after apartment complexes. I mean the kind that scare you to death. Gang bangers hanging out selling drugs in the parking lot kind of apartments. The hotel itself has a large privacy fence that 'sorta' blocks the apartments from view, but upon arriving at the entrance of this fence there were two homeless men in their early twenties camped in the grass against the fence. This was literally 20 feet from the drive entrance. They were shirtless and had duffle bags with clothes strown about on the ground, liquor bottles and trash accompanying them. I entered the hotel to check in and notice this hotel's breakfast area is in about a 12x12 room and the 'breakfast' was still out at 3:30pm. Again, not even the same room as in the pictures. I asked about the 'Business Center' listed in the description and they pointed me to an antiquated desktop and informed me that the printer did not work. No where near what was shown in the pictures. I explained I needed to print some things and asked where I could find an Office Max or Office Depot and the receptionist informed me that she had no idea. I asked her to please look it up and she informed me that she could give me pen and paper and I could look it up, as the internet was free. SERIOUSLY this happened. It took about 15 confusing minutes to check me in and we headed to the room. 'We' being, wife, daughter and grandson. We were in room 218 and when we entered the smell almost made me sick. My wife had to step outside to catch her breath. The carpet was still wet from apparently being shampooed and it was causing the room to smell like a mildewed wet dog. Not sure how to describe the smell, that is the best I can do. The rooms again are not the same as in the pictures. Literally looks like a totally different hotel. I popped open my computer and tried to log in.... and guess what??? You bet ya, the WiFi is too far from the router to pick up. I was getting 1-2 bars of service and of course it kept kicking me off line. The water was dripping in the tub, the carpet was wet, there was a sticky gummy substance on one of the comforters, there were Palace Inn stickers stuck over the Days Inn logos, there was an old creepy man walking around the parking lot wearing heavy leather gloves with wool lining in 90 degree weather. We loaded up everything, and had to drive nearly 10 miles to get out of the ghetto to find a McDonalds with internet. I am in the new room in a new Hotel as we speak. I am writing this review within just a few hours of this experience. I swear on everything in me that this is an accurate review. DO NOT believe for one minute that this is a 3 star Hotel. I swear with every inch of my being that the area itself is as terrifying as it is filthy. This is Oct. 4, 2013. My booking number is 905022712 via Kayak. I can provide receipts to verify I am a...
