This hotel just might be one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. Upon arrival I noticed it was quite dated which isn't even the complaint to bring up when I saw the rest. The pool was completely shut down for my stay there ( was very sad about that). However, the ROOMS were HORRID. My room was supposed to be a queen room, but every room they tried to give me was 2 singles ( not great for the couple get-away weekend I had planned). On top of this, the rooms were FILTHY, between food left on the ground, dirty utensils left around the room, a CONDOM on the goddamn bed, and random things scattered around. Two of the rooms had broken windows leading to the outside part and one room literally didn't even have curtains or blinds for them ( on the first floor as-well so dangerous). One of the rooms we were given I sat down on the bed to take a breather from being so frustrated, then all of a sudden the headboard literally falls on top of me ( wasn’t attached to the wall and had 0 support to hold it up but the mattress). Not to mention every bed had some weird stains on the white sheets and pillow cases, and the bathtubs had black foot prints in them. At this point I wanted to switch again and try AGAIN to get a room with a bigger bed and not 2. However, they said we were not allowed another one and to pick from the 3 disgusting rooms they had shown us. The reason they gave us as to why we could not switch was we had “dirtied the rooms” by walking in them ( laughable with how disgusting they were) even though all we did was walk around and see what was wrong with each room and check for bugs. Never did anything in them other than walk around in them. Cherry on top is my boyfriend asked very politely if they could at-least clean the rooms up a bit in which the staff refused and said we had to do it ourselves, but he did come pick up some of the food for us. The rooms aside from all of that were very dingy. This hotel in general gives off a terrible vibe. A-lot of the pictures advertised is not 100% true of what it looks like at all. At the end of my frustrations I was wanting to just get a refund and go stay at another hotel (considering I actually found some hotels NICER and CHEAPER that were way closer to salem). The room itself was around $200 a night and the fact they didn't knock off some of the price after all of this is astonishing but I digress. The refund I wanted to get I never end up getting because they said it would be a minimum of 10 days before it got refunded, and they refused to do a cash refund. OH YEAH, plus there’s creepy adult men outside smoking acting very strangely trying to engage in weird conversations and behavior (example trying to get you to come to them by showing money) seems very sex trafficking to me. No idea if they are even involved with the hotel but just seems very unsafe outside. Especially since I never got to park in the underground parking lot I had to park across the street at their parking area so you have to walk by them.

I’d give this less stars but my son said the bed was comfortable. For that reason only, it got a star. The hotel is ugly, dirty, and in need of repairs and maintenance. The room - only a small window that lead to the outside and a bathroom window. On the first floor, it leads to the back and didn’t feel very safe. Many rooms don’t even have a real window. It leads to the hall. The bathroom was so old. The hair dryer smelt like it burned and was over the toilet so it would electrocute someone if it fell in. The handle of the toilet was like a public bathroom. The sink faucet had no pressure and the bathtub had cracks in the tile. The room was disgustingly dirty. They should really be ashamed. If it’s old, at least make sure it’s very clean. There were finger nail clippings by the bed, the carpet was sticky and dirty. You had to wear shoes or socks and make sure they go right to the dirty pile. Our entire group felt the same way with several switching rooms, so it wasn’t just one room. The breakfast was lacking. Coffee, mini muffins and some fruit, yogurt and make your own waffles. Doable but not there to be a great meal. There’s a McDonald’s right by the hotel so most look like they go there. Pool- according to a woman checking in, she said it hasn’t worked in 3 years and she only stays there because it’s cheap and she needs a bed for a short time. Our group had to stay for two nights but someone from the front called our lead and asked her why the rooms were not empty the next morning of our two day stay. She told them we were there two nights and they tried to charge her again but we already paid for two. Finally they left it alone after she argued and they looked it up. They locked the room keys so when we got back we could not get into our rooms without going to the front again. The guy at the front was nice enough that had to redo cards and the first woman that checked us in was nice. Overall we don’t recommend. And to the hotel management: clean, and repair it at the very least!

100% function over fashion. No aesthetic whatsoever, but if economical is your main goal, then i believe this ticks that box. I don’t normally give extra points for having the bare minimum of amenities and features that would even qualify something as a motel (like hot water, Wi-Fi, and clean sheets). As far as positives, there’s a small mini fridge and microwave, dimmers on the lamps (which was an unexpected surprise), a TV which i never use (because who watches cable anymore?) and new double-paned windows, which is probably where they put that majority of their renovation budget, because it certainly hasn’t gone to anything else that’s visible. This hotel sits in the middle of a busy intersection and a short walk from a strip mall with some mediocre restaurants which i will review as well. It’s the kind of place I’d imagine going after getting out of prison. But it’s not in what I’d classify as a sketchy area, so that’s good I suppose. It’s an atrium-style hotel with doors that open to a hallway overlooking a pool. So good if you have kids and don’t mind the noise or like privacy. The curtain doesn’t quite cover the window looking out to the hallway, and there’s a two inch gap between the door and the floor which a decent-size rodent could easily fit under, maybe even a small cat. There’s no cover over the sink drain, so be careful not to drop anything in the sink or you’ll never see it again. You won’t want to walk barefoot in the room either. I’ll let the pictures tell you the rest. Can’t speak to the service as i didn’t deal with that aspect of the booking. Bed feels like I’ll be able to sleep in it, so that’s a silver lining.

Short and skinny: Look for street entrance on the north-face or the building. Call ahead to make sure you are getting the room that you booked and that it fits your needs. Say hello to Jeff and Tanisha, for they’ll provide the greatest hospitality. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.

Full experience: Upon arrival at this hotel, it was a tad confusing upon where to check in. I pulled up to the garage and I was able to enter, only to soon find out later there is another entrance from the street. Can’t really find it unless you know what you are looking for. Once I checked in, the desk attendant (he’ll remain nameless) was short with me and was not too personal. He appeared busy, so I didn’t mind letting him be. Getting to my room, it was clean (for the most part), but it was two doubles instead of a king. When I went back to the desk attendant to ask about this, he simply said that he “assigned the room given what sort of room it was” {paraphrased} and there were no more kings available. Coincidence? I don’t think so. At least I got a room tonight and didn’t have to search elsewhere. When I tried having a conversation with him, he didn’t seem too interested in carrying on the conversation and was more interested in his phone. All right then. [Both] Beds are super comfortable (had to test them to see which one was better); definitely as comfortable as mine at home, so there’s a plus. Internet on the third floor is mediocre, so I wouldn’t recommend it for gaming. The night was mostly quiet, for the intersection never sleeps without a few cars passing through. Breakfast was pretty good. They did have a waffle and pancake maker, however the pancake maker malfunctioned and was later removed. I was able to grab a decent breakfast that morning, so all the praise there. I reported the pancake maker (as well as a slight issue with the room that I can confirm was 100% easy to fix) to Tanisha when I could this morning. She responded with such enthusiasm that I was assured whatever needed to be done would get done. Definitely a friendly individual you’d want to interact with first thing in the morning. Housekeeping was passing through, and I decided to check out then so that they could service the room and not pass by it to come back to it later. However, my guest and I had plans to see a movie later that day, so we needed a place to hang out. Thankfully, Jeff allowed us to hang out in the hotel’s breakfast area, where we sat and watched Netflix on my laptop. Not only had he done that, he offered to fill my water bottle with water since their water machine was not functioning at the moment. I’m still thankful for you doing so, Jeff. Keep up the great work! Overall, I definitely would stay here again. My hopes are for my next visit that the check-in attendant isn’t short with me and that I get the room that I...

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!! we checked in at 6:25pm, we had 3 rooms booked for the night. My oldest daughter was attended by a woman first then a man took over the rest of the transaction. Everything went fine, when my other daughter went to check in, she overheard the man say to the woman in front of her that she couldn't park in the underground garage, she had to park across the street. She thought it was odd. He rushed her to initial her paper & said there would be a $50 charge if she lost the key card which was also strange. we put our things in the room because we booked this hotel to bring the kids to the pool. While my grankids were in the pool, I went back in the room to use the bathroom & I heard screaming and weird noises. While at the pool we noticed the same couple of people randomly roaming the hallways or just kinda watching us in the pool. We figured we were maybe being a little loud. We stepped out to go to McDonald's (directly behind the hotel) and I asked my daughter if she knew much about the hotel & she said no, she honestly got it because the pictures of the pool looked good. So I decided to look it up. I immediately came across a couple reviews involving a gentleman with a hat and glasses. He was super creepy & made people, woman for the most feel extremely uncomfortable. My group was my 3 daughters, 2 of my son in laws, 7 grandkids & myself. My oldest daughters and my son in laws went back to the hotel to pack up our rooms, while leaving the last room, a man with a hat and glasses came out of the NEXT DOOR room!! Asking my daughter if we were checking in or out, she told him it was none of his business and he said he worked there and was just asking. She told him again why was it any of his business. He put his hands up and turned around to call someone. When we were leaving he was sitting in the lobby chair, on the phone. To check out, you have to use the phone in the front and it calls someone for you to let them know you're leaving. The whole place gives you horror movie vibes!! It's over perfumed cuz the whole place has a musty smell! The floors & walls were dirty!! It's just not worth it!! Well the pool area was clean, had towels, chairs and tables soooo go during the day,...
