Traveled all night from Michigan, when we arrived in Beebe I found there number on the web, called and inquired if they allow dogs. The man said yes. So, I gave him my credit card info for a room. We arrived, the woman at the counter asked us how big the dog was, we told her #150. She asked for our credit card, we told her that we had already given this info to the man over the phone. She said something but was hard to understand (broken English) but we gave her the card, assuming they were just verifying. She called a man on her cell phone, they were speaking in their native language. The only words we thought we understood was eighteen. So we thought we were getting a $18 charge for the dog. She told me where to have dog go and do his business. The next morning we checked our banking account and seen 2 charges for the room. $80 & $85. We went to the office and told them we had a double charge. The man said yes because we had a dog. Only dogs of 20# were allowed and dogs over that were charged more. When we told him that none of that was mentioned to us when I called and at check in, he said "yes" (still having a hard time understanding him because of his broken english). He insisted that it was their policy. We told him again, it was never mentioned and the money wasn't the big concern. The issue was not being told about their extra charge for dogs over 10#. So he then said that they will refund us $10. Definately not happy with this hotel and their affiliate company, Choice Hotels (we called them to inform them of our issue and the lady said "we will let corporate know). So we paid $165 for 2 people and a dog for 1 night. Oh, not to mention the burn holes in the comforter and the pillows that didn't have any covers on them. Definately not recommending them to family and friends and we will never stay there again. Buyer beware. Look for...
Read moreVery disappointing hotel. It had a Choice brand on it so I thought it would have standard quality, but I was sorely disappointed. I selected this hotel because it had a pool, yet the pool is closed indefinitely and there was no mention of it online. The only updates since the 80s appear to be the television and light fixtures. The curtains don’t seal out light plus they have holes in them. It’s behind a Waffle House so there is always light and noise at the front of the hotel, plus the garbage is picked up from the Waffle House at 6am so forget trying to sleep in. The sink is part of the room so whenever someone uses the washroom at night they wake you up from the light or water running. The toilet and tub area is microscopic and the door barely clears the toilet when closing it. Our particular room had a disgusting looking toilet, not sure if the brown was damage or prior staining. There is no conditioner or lotion as an included amenity. The microwave appears to be from the 80s, so it’s not easy to figure out. When you walk on the carpet you can tell there are damaged floors underneath. The pillows are laughable, half the size of a standard pillow, like they belong in a child’s playhouse. There is some type of plastic mattress cover on the bed, so every time you move on the bed you hear it crinkle. There is only one desk chair in the room, so if there are two of you one of you will need to sit on the bed. We were there for two nights and attended a funeral, yet when we returned after the funeral we had been locked out of the room, as if they automatically reset all locks at checkout time, even for those staying multiple nights. There are other hotels in Beebe so you might want to check those out, or stay in Searcy or North...
Read moreMy family and I started out at what appeared to be a very nice hotel in Little Rock. It ended up needing lots of updates and our AC didn't work. Due to some events going on most hotels didn't have availability. I ended up coming across Rodeway Inn which was only 30 minutes away from us. I booked online which was super easy and quick. It allowed us to book/stay same day and check out the following day. When we pulled up the hotel was obviously updated and looked very nice. You could tell they were doing some landscaping. The check in office was clean and smelled nice. They had safety glass up to help prevent the spread of covid. I ended up picking the wrong room for myself and my 2 kids. The manager was very nice and fixed the issue no problem. When we got to our room it smelled great and was very clean. The carpet didn't feel gross under your feet. The bathroom smelled like they had cleaned it that day. They didn't have bed bugs and the mattress was actually conformable. They had a mini fridge and a microwave, which both worked great. In the morning checkout was super easy. I would definitely stay at the...
