On the day Wednesday December 12th, 2018, I purchased a new IPhone 10 from a carrier dealer in a shopping store. I tried to transfer my phone number unsuccessfully at the shopping store, and was told by the customer service representative for AT&T I would need to visit an AT&T store to transfer my phone number.
I immediately went to the AT&T store in Cabot, Arkansas, and was ultimately greeted with the worst customer experience I have ever seen in my life. I sat down with my Fiancé across from the manager Christine. I explained the situation in full detail, and that I was simply trying to switch my phone number over to the new phone I purchased.
From the start Christine was very quiet and nonchalant about the situation. It seemed as though I was causing a problem for coming in. After asking for my identification and typing on a tablet, she then asked why I already had an account with AT&T?
I explained that the representative at the shopping store set up my phone, and tried to transfer my phone number unsuccessfully. She then exclaimed very rudely that I would “need to take the phone back to Walmart because they didn’t set the phone up right”.
Frustrated as I may have been, I responded by saying “I don’t want to go in circles all night to change my phone number”. Christine responded snarling “I’m trying to explain to you why”.
I then told her “it was absolutely ridiculous that I can’t change my phone number to my old one. I am doing exactly as the customer service representative asked me to do”. She responded very upset that “I shouldn’t have bought the phone from Walmart, I tell people all the time!”.
At this point I exited the store, back to my car with the worst encounter of a manager I have ever experienced in my 26 years of existence. I can understand it is at a later time (5:30 pm), but being that rude to a customer is unacceptable. I was becoming an AT&T customer, but due to this experience I will changing service providers. I will also be sharing with my family and friends about this...
Read moreThis has been the worst experience I’ve had with AT&T. The store manager, Kristal (I believe that’s her name), consistently has excuses for why she can’t help and claims to have contacted her supervisor by phone or email—yet refuses to CC me in any of those communications, stating that “they don’t do that.” Also hangs up on you stating that you are threatening her when you state you are going to report her to corporate.
My bill is supposed to be $261 per month, but I keep getting charged $461. This ongoing issue has not been resolved despite multiple attempts to address it.
In contrast, the assistant manager, Kelly, has been extremely helpful. He consistently follows up, provides results the same day, and returns calls promptly. I strongly recommend considering Kelly for the store manager position, as he demonstrates the kind of professionalism and accountability that...
Read moreI had a great experience a couple of weeks ago, upgrading my phone, and adding a line. The AT&T representative, Crystal Martin, at the Beebe AT&T store is VERY knowledgeable and professional, instead of spending time on the phone from now on, I will be making a drive to Beebe!! I had recieved some emails asking for additional information today, I didn't understand where to send the documents they were requiring, so I drove to Beebe and Mrs. Martin logged in and helped me. If you are looking for a personal experience with a human, the Beebe AT&T store is the place to go. Look up Crystal Martin...
