Got breakfast here this morning and it was very disappointing.

The teenage hostess unenthusiastically made my handicapped mother walk to the furthest table possible (literally all the way in the back, far corner) after which she gave us utensils that had some unidentified liquid on them.

We asked our server, Nick, for fresh utensils. He took our order and got us fresh utensils. We both ordered the build your own breakfast that is supposed to come with biscuits and gravy, each.

After waiting 30 minutes, our food finally comes out and my eggs are prepared wrong. Another server brought the food to our table. I explained the eggs were not prepared as ordered and we were both supposed to get biscuits and gravy but only one cup of gravy was brought to the table. The server took back my plate and brought out a new one some time later. Did not bring out the other cup of gravy. Some time later Nick appears again and starts asking if I ever got my food then rushes off. He appears a few minutes later, again freaking out that I didn’t get my food. I explained we got the egg situation corrected but still no gravy. He disappeared and then showed up a few minutes later to give us the check and ask if we needed anything else. My mom asked if it would be possible to get another cup of coffee and he said sure and disappeared.

While we waited I attempted to pay the bill by scanning the QR code on the receipt. A bill for $53 pops up when our order was only $32. After a few more minutes, Nick appears to pour a very late second cup of coffee. I asked him about the bill and he again disappears. We wait what seems like another 5 minutes and he comes back and tells us to just pay upfront.

We walk to the cash register and I hand the woman the receipt, she rings us up and lowe and behold, the wrong bill pops up for $53. I explained to her what happened when we tried to pay using the QR code and that Nick told us to pay upfront. She says there isn’t anything she can do. I said I’m not paying $53 for $32 worth of food so she calls a manager. We wait a good 5 minutes in silence. My handicapped mother, who has a hard time standing, decides she can’t stand anymore and she is going to the car. The cashier calls for the manager again. Another 5 minutes pass. And a third time! Finally someone responds and she says she needs help with customer assistance. Another 5 minutes later, Angela appears. The cashier looks to me to explain to Angela what happened. I explain and she says ok, takes the receipt and disappears for another 5 minutes. Finally, finally we get a new bill and I can pay.

I get that it was a busy Sunday but messing up every part of the restaurant experience including the paying part is just incredibly frustrating. Definitely going to think twice...

Horrible experience! My daughter and I decided to get a quick breakfast before gymnastics practice. 5 minutes after receiving our food my daughter had to use the bathroom. We covered our plates neatly with a napkin. While asking a server nearby where the bathroom was located, a busgirl attempted to clean off our table. I asked the server to stop her and inform her that we are just going to the bathroom. When we came back to our table a busboy was cleaning our table off. I was utterly lost for words. I informed the busboy that we were just coming from the bathroom and we were still eating. He apologized and went on his way. I was utterly disgusted. I covered my plate for a sanitary purposes. For someone else who touches dirty dishes all day to touch my plate that I was NOT finished eating not once but TWICE made my stomach turn! Not to mention the dirty dish pale placed on the table that we were eating at as if we were not coming back. The manager offered nothing but an apology. She didn’t seem empathetic towards our experience, instead she made excuses on why the busgirl and busboy made the mistake as if I am suppose to empathize with them instead as if WE made the mistake by covering our food while went to the bathroom. So furious and embarrassed I just wanted to pay for our food and leave. While waiting in line, a patron who sat behind us informed me that him and his wife told them twice while we were in the bathroom that we were coming back. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had at restaurant. I have had better experiences at family owned/smaller establishments. I can’t even wrap my mind around the situation because it doesn’t even make sense and I couldn’t find not one excuse on why they would have assumed I left. Please do better ! By far the worst customer service given by a manager at...

Disappointing First Experience: Good Service, Poor Food Quality For the first time, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. While the service provided was commendable, the overall dining experience was marred by subpar food quality that left much to be desired.

Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted and seated by the attentive staff. Our orders were taken promptly, and the wait time for our meals was reasonable. However, the excitement of trying a new establishment quickly dissipated when my plate arrived with an unwelcome addition – a long hair nestled among the food.

Needless to say, this was a highly unappetizing sight that immediately soured my dining experience. I brought this to the attention of the manager, who was apologetic and promptly offered a reimbursement for the affected food item. While I appreciated the swift response and gesture of goodwill, the damage had already been done.

The incident not only raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards of the kitchen but also greatly diminished my confidence in the food quality. It's disheartening when such basic expectations of cleanliness and hygiene are not met, especially in a dining establishment.

While the manager's apology and reimbursement were appreciated, they unfortunately couldn't salvage the overall impression of the meal. As a first-time patron, this experience fell far short of my expectations, and regrettably, I have no intention of returning to [Restaurant Name] in the future.

In conclusion, while the service provided was satisfactory, the glaring issue of food hygiene and quality overshadowed any positive aspects of the dining experience. It's disappointing when a potentially enjoyable dining experience is marred by such lapses in...

I really like it here, I just wish the cooks would be more attentive when you ask for condiments/ingredients not to be added to certain dishes. I had same sandwich prepared wrong on two different visits and had to wait for it to be re-cooked. Otherwise I have enjoyed dining here. 6/20/23 update: went this late afternoon/early evening for dinner. Not as crowded and service great. Had sirloin steak entree. A little salty, yet tasty - had to dip in au jus and onions to lighten. Came with three sides, nice and hearty meal. Took home one of sides with the $5 take home offer (chicken and Mac n cheese). Easy lunch or dinner option for later this week. Also found a Peanuts shirt for 40%off on way out - $11.99! Good experience. Went for breakfast today, Sunday 3/24/24. Excellent service by Elizabeth and great grub! Got 3 bags of candy for $5.99, to take over to the AMC for Ghostbusters...ssssh 🙏🏿🤣😁, a free drink for being a rewards member, and still paid approx $18 before tip. 😉❤️

So I've been to numerous locations across the country and I happen to move and this is the closest location to me. It was the first and probably last time that I'll will be at this location or at any location now because of my situation. So the service fine, It's only the food quality and size. So I ordered the sampler that comes with the 3 meets, eggs and pancakes. It came out extremely quick, but it has to be the smallest plate that I've ever seen. Then it also had no flavor to any of the food and I ordered an additional side biscuit which was undercooked and doughy. also when I was finishing the plate I saw some hair under the food on the plate (see attached photo). Which I immediately told my waitress and they ended up giving me the meal for free which I didn't finish and I stopped right then and there because I was grossed out. I'm also a clean shaven person and the waitress saw and knew that, so it couldn't have came from me either.

This was my youngest son’s first time visiting Cracker Barrel, and he left completely satisfied with the taste and quality of the food. For me, the visit was more than just a meal — it was about spending meaningful time together, and this experience truly delivered on that. Our server, Jessica, was incredibly pleasant and thoughtful. She checked in with us throughout our meal, making sure our drinks were refilled and that we had everything we needed. Her kindness really added to the welcoming atmosphere. After eating, we spent some time outside on the porch in the classic Cracker Barrel rocking chairs, playing checkers and chatting with other customers as they came and went. It reminded me how special it is to slow down and enjoy the simple things — good food, good company, and genuine moments. Cracker Barrel made this visit feel like more than just a restaurant stop — it was a warm, memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back.
