Travelers beware!! I don't leave negative reviews, but I don't want anyone to experience what we did during our overnight stay. I was meeting my sister and mom to pick up a dog we rescued in Texas (I couldn't take it with me on the plane), and this hotel was located around the halfway point. We were exhausted and drove about 12 hours each that day. My sister had made a reservation online a couple days prior, specifically for a pet-friendly room. When we arrived to the hotel that evening, she was told that they were "out" of pet-friendly rooms, even though she'd reserved one. The lady at the front desk told her that we could have a room on the second floor but that the elevator wasn't working. We carried our luggage, the dog, and carried the dog's crate upstairs by hand. My sister paid the $100 pet deposit, and we were trying to get settled in for the night. Before we went to sleep for a few hours before driving back, I wanted to let the dog out one more time. This was around 11:30 PM at this point. As soon as I was helping the dog down the stairs to go outside, I heard two gentleman, one older and one younger, raising their voices. "YOU CAN'T BE IN HERE!" is what they shouted but didn't think they were talking to me, so I continued to walk outside. The younger one followed me outside (keep in mind, it's late and dark out), and he told me I wasn't welcome at the hotel because of the dog. I've never seen him before, and he had no idea what had transpired at the front desk just a couple hours before. As it turns out, he was one of the owners, as was the older gentleman, and they LIVE at the hotel, right down the hall from where our room was on the second floor. I tried calmly explaining that my sister had made a reservation, to which he called me a liar to my face, and said he knew I was lying because dogs weren't allowed on the second floor. I called my sister, who was asleep, and asked her to meet me downstairs after the dog was finished outside. It was her reservation, so maybe she would be able to better explain what happened. The man was relentless with her, too, also calling her a liar from the moment she was at the desk. He said that she lied about her reservation (there are cameras there; he could have checked) and asked where her paperwork was, all the while flipping papers around foolishly that WERE hers because her ID was copied. I saw her confirmation as he was sorting through them. We showed him our room keys, and he claimed they weren't ours to use because we "didn't have a reservation" . He cut off our key access while we were there at the desk in front of him. My mom was asleep in bed, and we had no way to get to her if something happened. He asked who put us in the room, to which we described the woman (who had been nice to us). He immediately issued us new keys and said we could leave. WHAT A JOKE. That's all he said- no apology, nothing. The next morning, my mom and I were loading the rental car, and we heard the older gentleman from down the hall yelling our room number and scoffing from outside his room. I don't get to see my family very often, but the staff at this hotel, more particularly the owners, made this exhausting trip miserable. I would highly encourage anyone traveling, especially with pets, to find somewhere else to stay. Our stay...

Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE. Let me start off by, I first believed that just as the website advertised that the rooms were nice and clean. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. The rooms are disgusting. When I first checked in, I was assigned on the first floor. As I walked in, the smell of cigarettes was immensely strong. I could not stand being there because it smelled like if someone had literally just smoked in there recently. I immediately went to the receptionist and notified him. His response was “We cannot control if people smoke or not.” Mind you I requested a non-smoking room. He did not apologize but he did assign me to a different room on the third floor. The hallway on the third floor smelled like cigarretes. This room did not smell like cigarettes thankfully but it was extremely humid and looked nothing like the picture. The AC did not seem to be super effective as it took a long time for the room to get somewhat cool. The room was very unsanitary and unclean. First off, the bathroom door was broken like if someone had kicked it . There were stains on the walls including in the restroom which I took pictures of. By the coffee maker, there were coffee stains on the wall and outlet which had not been cleaned. The baseboard of the bed had prints, some which seemed to be dog prints which had not been cleaned off. There were also crumbs by the coffeemaker. There were stains on the door itself. Stains on the window. In the bathroom, the toilet had stains which some seemed to be urine and one seemed to be a poop stain. The bathtub had few small hairs and stains on the wall. The floor of the tub looked kinda dirty like black like it hasn’t been cleaned. The towels in the bathroom had old stains which was gross. Thankfully, I had my own towel. The bed and bed sheets itself was the only thing that was clean and not dirty. It was already evening and was planning to check out early morning so I stayed. But other than that, I will never stay here again. I do not recommend anyone especially with kids to stay here. I did not feel safe especially with its unsanitary conditions. In addition, when I checked out this morning, I was in the elevator with a man who had a gun just in his pocket. It was not in a holster. I have no idea if he had a permit or not, I could totally be misjudging but I was terrified especially how the world has been lately. I literally checked out, didn’t even wait for a receipt and left cause that made me feel super uncomfortable and unsafe. Please do not stay here. My experience was horrid and I will never...
