I have never given a restaurant a rating like this before and I really feel bad doing it this time. Upon arrival we saw photos of people who dined and dashed and of people who paid with fake money. We should have left then. We get inside and there were only 2 tables of guests when we sat down. One was a fairly large group, maybe 8-9 people plus infants and the other had 5 people. We had to wait a while at the sign that said "Wait To Be Seated" and finally we were told to sit anywhere. We should have left then and I would not be writing this long terrible post. Anyway, we placed our order, by the way, our waitress was very nice said she is the bartender but had to waitress because someone failed to show. This post is not too much about the long wait but about the tasteless food. We ordered fried combos and there was literally no seasoning on anything. The Cajun fries were Cajun in name only. The fish, shrimp, and oysters were terrible. How can you call yourself a Cajun and Creole restaurant without any Cajun and Creole seasoning? The cocktail sauce looked like ketchup and tasted like ketchup with the hot sauce I added. Please, step up your game. I will not be back but for whoever comes after me, give them what you say you are giving them: Cajun and...
Read moreFinally a local seafood restaurant that was totally worth the time & money we spent . . The low country boil seafood bags are wonderful. Everything is cooked in a bag, seasoned to perfection & brought out to the table in the bag. I had the Alaskan King Crab & boiled shrimp with potatoes & corn & 1/2 dozen raw oysters... At that time the market price for the Alaskan King Crab was $60 per pound. A little expensive but so very worth it, if you really enjoy crab legs. Definitely fresh seafood... Well as fresh as one can get when the nearest ocean is 5 hours away. Our waiter was excellent, I can't remember his name but he was very attentive, made sure we had everything we needed & came back occasionally to check to see if we needed anything more. Since our first visit I have called in several orders for fried oysters & fried shrimp dinners to go and the food has been consistently good with each visit & the order has been ready when I got to the restaurant to pick it up... No wait time. Prices seem pretty fair. They do have a bar & a bartender that can do more than just open a bottle of beer, if mixed drinks are what you favor. I'm super excited that I don't have to wait until my next beach vacation to enjoy some decent...
Read moreWhat is bad is I wanted to leave a good review because the place was clean and the atmosphere was good but unfortunately I can't say anything else about our experience was good. -⭐. My wife and 2 kids and I sat down and our drink order was taken and we got our drink but then the place started getting crowded (we expected that being a Sunday) and we watched other families with 5 and 6 people come in and be seated and get their food before us. The family beside us and the family behind us got their food before us and honestly we would have been ok with that had our food come out but we sat and waited for an hour before we were even told "Your food should be coming". So after about an hour and 15 minutes we decided we couldn't wait any longer and we left. Absolutely ridiculous that we spent an hour and 15 minutes there and all we had were 4 drinks. Not to mention one waitress was stoned out of her mind, seriously, she walked by and reeked of pot and you could look at her and see her nodding off. So beware of what you are walking into if you are...
