Wow! I was amazed!||We were a bit reluctant booking an Econo Lodge but their rate was good and we could take our Shihpoo Dandy.||We arrived late afternoon and initially were a bit thrown off by the derelict, possibly being gutted and reconstituted, structure next door. Pay that no attention!||The hotel was an excellent find, especially for the price! Lobby: clean with soft seating. Dining area: clean with multiple seating and tv. Staff: friendly and efficient. Hallways: spotless. Room: was a complete surprise. Looked newly refurbished (but hadn’t been, we later discovered) Very clean! I mean, very!! I felt like cleaning up after myself when we checked out, and even did wipe off the counters, etc, out of respect to the staff. You can immediately tell the folks managing and working in this motel care about it and their guests. I used to own and operate several bed & breakfasts and I see things others may not. This place was beyond my expectations.||Here are a few extra features in the room I found especially unique. Not only were there bedside, wall mounted lamps on either side of the bed, leaving completely open space on the bedside tables, but there was also a separate, pinpoint reading light. Love it as I am a late night reader. Also, mounted on the wall within the same dual light fixture were two outlets and a usb port for charging. ||Then, in the bathroom, the wall mounted hairdryer had a built in night light! We often travel with night lights so we don’t get disoriented when navigating to the bathroom in the night. This addition was a feature I had never seen before. I wish I had taken a photo. Sorry.||Refrigerator and microwave in the room were both spotless and made not a sound. ||Bed was very comfortable. We requested a blanket and were quickly given a comforter. Perfect.||We didn’t partake of the breakfast items other than grabbing a banana and clementine plus coffee. Coffee was the only thing I wasn’t crazy about. ||We met the head of housekeeping as well as Mr. Patel, the owner, and were able to tell them personally how much we thought of their hotel. ||So, if you are hesitating booking this place, don’t. We believe the $100 added deposit at check-in helps to insure that guests are responsible and treat the facility with care. It shows!||Well done. Thanks for a very pleasant...
Read moreI checked in at approx 12pm and went to the room. It was hot but not uncommon so I turned the AC down and left. I didn't come back until approx 10pm. I noticed the room was still hot. I ate and took a shower but it was to hot to sleep. At approx 11pm I go to the front desk and ask if we could get another room and was told none were available. I asked for a refund since the room was close to 80 degrees and was told that the only way we could get a refund was to leave. I told her that it was 11pm on the Saturday before the 4th of July and that there was no where to go and that I was over 3 hours from home. She said only the manager could approve it. I ask her to call the manager and she tells me they have been ignoring her all day. She send a long haired woman to the room saying that she was maintenance. She go to the room, agrees its hot, tells us that she didn't know why we were told there was no other rooms that there was empty rooms. She gets it fixed but it went out again during the night. As I'm checking out I speak to the manager on duty and was told that I booked the room as a no refund, no cancelation. I explained that meant I couldn't cancel my stay and get money back and that that policy was not meant to be used in cases where there are issues with the room. She agreed that the AC did need recharging and told me that multiple units needed recharging includung the one in the office. She then called the owner and was told they would call me back and. Two days later I still have not received...
Read moreUpon our arrival I checked the room and found the comforters and sheets had blood stains and pee stains. The bathroom floor was so sticky and dirty as well as the bottom area of the toilet. I went to Walmart and purchased cleaning supplies and blankets then took it upon myself to sanitize our room. The manager, Patty was very helpful and compensated us for the night so instead of changing hotels I gave it another chance however the 2nd night I found small bugs crawling on the walls and night stand. The ac unit was not working properly so I checked the filters to find they were clogged with so much dust how could it run. The lamp shade had mold all over the backside. When I went to the front desk the owner was there so I showed him the pictures and he told me immediately that he would not comp my room but I could switch rooms. Why would I want to switch rooms that late at night after my daughter finally fell asleep. He could only tell me that he has the place sprayed for bugs and he would check the toom in the morning. That is unexceptable. He was not helpful, apologetic or concerned so at that point I told him I would be checking out in the morning and never coming back. This was not the way to run a...
