Subway — Restaurant in Boaz

I never leave bad reviews, but I quit going to Geraldine subway because Boaz is such a better Subway… better service, fresher product, they bake new bread everyday, last night we got two sandwiches and mine tasted so weird like old tasting and so I just thought it was some lettuce or something Bc I got Onion chicken teriyaki with tons of veggies and well my husband got a meatball marina with nothing on it besides mozzarella cheese and Parmesan. I never said anything to him about mine tasting weird and he took a bite and then looked strange and took another and then started telling me his sandwich tasted old. I don’t know why or what but the sandwich made us sick. Could’ve been old mozzarella, we both got the same bread as well which is the Italian herbs and cheese. But I’ve never ate food that made me so sick to my stomach it tasted alright like had a slightly weird just kinda stale taste. Definitely not the usual quality of product received from this subway. But overall I’m really disappointed from this visit exclusively and think maybe they need to check temperatures of product they are storing make sure everything is working properly. I feel food poisoned today. I know meat is the main cause of food poisoning Bc bacteria grow more at certain temps but I know expired dairy, and not washing hands or just improper handling of food can be a cause…. I don’t know if maybe they’re not changing gloves and cross contaminating product with the bread and cheese and messing with uncooked meat. I don’t even think they have uncooked meat but if there was left out meat or expired that they handled and maybe and they threw it out but didn’t change their gloves. I know they stay pretty busy it is the best subway in this area. I just wanted to make sure the manager and customers are more aware of the food specifically from last night we did not eat all of our food Bc the old taste but still we are both sick and no one else is in the house besides us. And we’re the only ones out of 5 who ate subway. We’re also the only ones sick. So just...

Went and this evening with a coupon for an $8.99 meal. I didn't want the cheese that came on the sandwich by default, I asked for a substitution of a different cheese. Went to pay and it was almost $14, I questioned it and the woman says since I didn't get the mozzarella cheese that came on the sandwich, she charged me for a meatball sandwich at pepperoni.

So if you want to go by that logic, if the sandwich doesn't say it comes with ranch or mayonnaise or olives, et cetera are you going to charge people extra for those since it's not on the build?. No, because Subway's campaign has always been about choice of what you get on your sandwich. It's not like I said instead of chicken give me steak trying to get it at a discounted price to scam the system.

Another employee had to step in and tell her she rang it up wrong. I have a coupon and the way I ordered it was fine. She had to bring it up as the sandwich on the board. That pissed her off. Had to call the store as a delivery was not delivered to me. This store wouldn’t answer the phone and I had to call door dash and have them connect me to this store. The girl that was representing the store on the phone was COMPLETELY AND ABSOLUTELY RUDE! She refused to answer questions about me getting my money refunded. Acted angry that I wanted my money refunded. Refused to give me any information about what time to call the manager the next morning, what the managers name is, and just acted like I had ruined her day. Here I am, now out nearly $70 AND having to find something else for my kids dinner.
