3years ago: We’ve stayed here several times for an overnight on our jaunt from Houston to Disney World. Park is clean, spots are pull through with room to park unhitched. Not any views really. Not a lot going on locally.
Update: We continue to stay here yearly because it’s such a beautiful and amazing place with the friendliest owners. It’s a great quiet clean over night stop. The spots are shady, it’s peaceful and quiet (no loud music, or ruckus) and it has lots of trees and nature and flowerbeds. Every time we visit there is some sort of improvement to the park!!! They continue to put money back into this RV park and on this last visit ‘24 we noticed they brought in new rocks for the spots and added landscape timbers to hold the rocks in, they have added cute signage and benches all around the pond where you can sit, rest, and watch the pretty pond with ducks. They have a great playground that looks new, a pool, hot tub and chairs on the back of the office to sit. The laundry room was so cute too. They even planted cannas around the sewer hookup to hide it and make the spot prettier so we are looking at nature and not sewer pipes. This has become the cutest and most nature beautiful park we stay at with their amazing work and vision.
They have the BEST dog run of any RV place we’ve ever visited. It was so cute!! Wish I’d taken photos but it was too dark to see it good. I think it looked like they were in the process of adding lights.
This visit they greeted us with ice cold water bottles and a little bag for our dog with a couple of dog treats, a super cute note about the dog rules and the new dog run, and a poop bag. You know that was such a special welcoming touch, a step above anywhere else!
We love your park and love how you keep improving it, Outback Springs!
Love ❤️ from Texas!
There is a Mexican food place in town named Cancun, it’s delicious and prices reasonable, I highly recommend, we eat there every time we stay here, see my review of them.
There is a Dollar General pantry store also that I’ve never seen that style of DG before but it was great to grab some snacks, gallon jug of sweet tea, and some...
Read morePLEASE READ BEFORE YOU STAY HERE. This place is beautiful but dont let the looks deceive you. This is my and my family's experience. Also there is several more guest that had a terrible experience. We came in may to stay for a few months. The staff were always complaining about our 7 year old twins. There is meth all over the park, and yes I have proof if anyone wants it I will gladly show them. So be careful if you do have kids. I did some work on a camper, and one day while I was cutting a board to replace a stud they locked the camper up with all my tools in it and told me I couldn't go back in until after the holidays. Didn't make any sense to me. I leave for the holidays and come back to find out that my 500 dollar chainsaw that was locked in THEIR TOOL SHED was gone. Of course they denied it. I didn't have any proof of them stealing it, but its strange how they couldn't get the camera video of who stole it at a location where only employees are found. I did work with my chainsaw that I never received compensation for. So when I asked about my tools that were in the camper that they locked the owner of the park told me that he would have to find out if it was theirs or not. But all of their tools had outback springs on it. He said he would find out and call me back to return it. So a couple of months go by and I dont hear a word from them. So I took it upon myself to call them. When I asked about my drill, he doesn't have any recollection about our conversation. If he cant remember to call someone back to return their tools how could he possibly run a rv park. It was just another lie that I caught them in, but this time I knew he had my tools. This will keep happening to other campers as long as there are drugs and dishonest businesses owners and employees. So if you value your belongings and dont want them stole even though there are cameras which only see what they want you to see, then stay away. If anyone wants factual information then please message me. A beautiful place with an ugly inside. Also there will be other campers that shared experiences like mine that will leave their...
Read moreWe were very excited to be staying at Outback Springs. We had made a reservation for a pull through site. About an hour before we arrived I was looking at the map of the place and realized that our site number had changed. Which wasn't a big deal because we understand most campgrounds won't guarantee a particular site. But I realized that our new site was a back-in! I called them and they said the person that was supposed to leave decided not to so this was the back-in was the only site they had left. Since we were almost there and it was late afternoon we felt helpless because we needed a place to stay! While the campground itself was beautiful, the back-in site they gave us was tiny, rocky, no grass, no patio, no picnic table. Absolutely awful and not what we'd reserved for a month-long stay. It was late and we were tired so we let it go until the next morning while we considered our options. We went to the office the next morning and asked very respectfully how it was that we were given a back-in when we'd reserved a pull through, and why weren't we notified of the switch. We would have canceled our reservation if we'd known! The woman working the office said they don't guarantee sites. We pointed out that we understood not being able to promise a particular location, but switching between a pull through and a horrible little back-in site was not even the same ballgame. She told us she didn't even understand why this made a difference to us and why we thought she owed us a phone call ahead of time about the change. After a lot of back and forth we agreed that we would stay for 3 nights since they'd already taken a $150 deposit and they don't offer refunds. I can't express the disappointment we felt at the shabby treatment we received. We would never consider staying at this...
