A 5 ☆ rating... to begin, great impression for 1st time visitors to NC... Natalie @ front desk made the reservation for us smoothly, for a family of 6 with 3 teens & a hefty eating husband is a HUGE + to have hot breakfast included, I think this is the only hotel in the area that does this, there's other hotels that offer a "pop in the microwave" food type of meal. When we arrived Monica, front desk, greeted us so warmly & made us feel right at home, just what we needed after a loooong commute. Since we didn't request daily room service we asked the front desk people of all shifts for toiletries, t.p., trash bags, which were given without an attitude & without question. Sarah, Genesis, another older lady - forgive me for not remembering your name - & 2 younger breakfast/dining room staff tended the breakfast, making sure the line moved smoothly, & for those of us waiting on waffles or anything else, our food would be brought to our table. For X-mas eve/X-mas day, day after X-mas day it was more crowded than usual & breakfast was served way past 10a.m. & with the same great service. Everyone in line got to eat, Genesis took time to apologize to ea. guest for the delay & when food was ready she would bring it out to ea. one. Since the hot beverage self-serve station gets pretty busy during breakfast, I apologized to Tara, the staff member upkeeping the station, for any messes (like I said, we're 6), her response was that she didn't mind at all because guests are happy, enjoying themselves & she loved that. Read moreI am a Diamond member (which means I spend way too much time in Hilton hotels) and I have to say this is my favorite hotel with the best service since I have been staying in Hamptons since the mid-1990s. Immediately upon check in, the hotel had a huge metal tin of water (which I have never seen in any hotel) and dog treats for people with pets. Water should be made available to all ( not just Diamond members) guests and this hotel delivered!
In addition to the water and dog treats, the staff welcomed me via text and asked me via text if I needed anything both days of my two day stay. In addition, the staff went out of their way to great me each time I entered and left the property. What nice people and a nice change from some of my experiences with Hilton.
As far as the property itself, it is magnificent! I was generously upgraded to a 2 QN with balcony and the views of the mountains were breathtaking. In addition, the lobby is huge, clean and spaciously laid out and the hotel is extremely quiet. In fact, it was so quiet I wasn’t sure anyone was staying on my floor!
Since I was in Boone for a difficult situation, I don’t think I will be back, which saddens me because I absolutely loved everything about this hotel and it appears as if everyone else does, too. Currently, a Hampton with a 4.7 rating is almost unheard of and now you know why. It takes near perfection to achieve anything above a 4.4, and this property delivers.

Read moreAfter reading through the most recent reviews of the many hotels in Boone, we decided to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Boone. We couldn't have made a better choice! It was a spur of the moment trip so we didn't have reservations. We wanted a room with a king sized bed, although those were all taken. We considered ourselves lucky to get a room at all since they were so busy. The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We were also greeted by two ladies from housekeeping on our way up to our room. Didn't get their names but their friendliness was also very genuine and made us instantly feel welcome. Our room and bathroom was immaculately clean and the bed was super comfortable. The staff here is what sets this hotel apart from their competition! The complimentary breakfast was a wonderful experience thanks to Quson. This young man was like a ray of sunshine as he greeted guests into the busy dining area. The smile on his face and in his voice was absolutely genuine. It was clear to see that he truly cares about and takes pride in his work which frankly is a rarity to witness this day and time. Quson could not have done more to make sure everyone's breakfast experience was the very best. He did a fantastic job running the super busy breakfast area like a well oiled machine.
