I went into Rooms-to-Go just to browse for a sectional, next thing I know, I’m emotionally bonded to a tall, majestic man named Michael Miller, who looked like he walked straight out of a GQ catalog with a haircut sharp enough to slice deli meat. Michael didn’t sell me a couch. No, my friend, he guided my soul. He didn’t pressure me or hover like a retail vulture. Instead, he sat on the couch with me. We just… talked. Like real people. About life. About comfort. About throw pillows. For a few glorious minutes, I forgot I was even in a furniture store. I thought I was at a chill hangout with a friend who gives solid life advice and knows thread counts. And then? BAM, I bought the couch. Not because I had to. Because I wanted to. Because it felt right. And because Michael Miller made it feel like I wasn’t being sold something, I was joining a lifestyle. Oh, and the 0% financing? Chef’s kiss. Rooms-to-Go, y’all better give that man a raise, a key to the store, and possibly his own throne made of memory foam. As for me, anytime I walk back in, I’m asking for the tall guy.

I came recently and met Brady who was helpful. I told him I am moving out of state and wanted to look around at the time, but once I figured out what I wanted I was coming back to make a purchase. Today was the day I attempted to order a set for my new home, yet no one even greeted me until the last 30 seconds of me being in the building. I cannot believe this is the “customer service” you offer in this store. There were couples with children playing on furniture and other families, so I guess I wasn’t a priority since I was alone and no one believed I was there to buy anything. RTG needs to do a better job of prioritizing EVERY customer despite what they assume the situation to be. Especially since there were sooo many people who walked by me or looked and never said a word. All of these people are standing around and helped every customer BUT me!

I am in the parking lot leaving this review at 5:45pm on 8/30/2025 after walking out of the store without any salesperson offering me any help until I was exiting. I have been in here nearly an hour! I came recently and met Brady who was helpful. I told him I am moving out of state and wanted to look around at the time, but once I figured out what I wanted I was coming back to make a purchase. Today was the day I attempted to order a set for my new home, yet no one even greeted me until the last 30 seconds of me being in the building. *This review is based SOLEY on the customer service I received this past Sunday at the Dale Mabry/Tampa location. My furniture delivery is not scheduled until mid-July.

I went to RTG for a new bedroom set and mattress. I was acknowledged when I first walked in, which I appreciated. The salesman (I am not going to mention his name publicly) said that he would give me some time and come find me. I liked that because I'm the type of customer thst wants to be left alone and I'll seek out someone when I'm ready. I walked around for about 10 minutes before he approached again. I will say that I was uncomfortable when I was lying on the mattresses, trying them out. He hovered over me, just standing there. I had a friend of mine with me, and she was creeped out as well. He kept looking at his watch off and on, which made me feel rushed to make a decision. A mattress and bedroom furniture are big purchases. I understand that they want to be helpful and answer questions, but I appreciate being left alone. I'll come find you when I have questions or need help. When it was time to make my final decision on the bedroom set, I asked my friend what she thought, and the sales rep was very quick to bring me to the register to check out. It almost seemed like he was rushing, for fear that I would change my mind. While he was friendly, he just wasn't very personable. I really felt like he was there just for the commission sale and not the customer relationship that I hoped for in a retailer. This is my second big purchase from this RTG location and most likely will go to another location (hopefully I will not experience the same salesman behavior) or company next time. I spent just under $3000, and for that, I would have appreciated feeling like my business was really wanted and not...

I had an extremely disappointing experience today at Rooms to Go Patio in Brandon, Florida. I recently purchased $10,000 worth of patio furniture and was so happy with it I returned for more. All regular priced merchandise. On my 2nd visit, besides more furniture, I happened to purchase a planter that was damaged in which I received a discount. It was only @$350. I didn’t realize it was a final sale although should’ve since it was sold damaged. My mistake. But today I returned to purchase more regular priced furniture and asked to simply exchange the planter and put it toward my new purchase since it didn’t fit in the space I purchased it for. After calls to the Store Manager Nelson Martinez and to the customer service dept I was told by the Assistant Mgr that they would not exchange the planter even though Customer Service told the Assistant that it was up to the discretion of the store since it is not typically their policy to return “ buy and take” items. The Assistant Mgr Samantha Owen’s should’ve been empowered to make the right decision but called her SM Nelson Martinez at home. He denied my request to exchange the planter for regular price furniture knowing how much I had recently spent in his store and was there to purchase more, today. What a short-sited businessman. Needless to say I will never shop there again and will complete my outdoor furnishings elsewhere. I also recently moved to a new development and my neighbors are raving about my furniture. I will surely be sharing this experience with them and hopefully they will furnish their outdoor spaces from a more customer...
