Worst hotel I have ever been too!! If I could give it 0 stars I would. My husband and I choose this hotel for our family vacation which consisted of a 10day stay for two adults and three young children. We were visiting family and unfortunately some of the nearby hotels had mixed reviews, this one was closest to our family, so this was the best choice so I thought. We called ahead to ask if we could check in early, we were told sure. After traveling 800+ miles when we arrived we were told our original room was not ready because the people in it had not checked out yet. We were also put it a room upstairs after specifically asking for a room down stairs due to us having a lot of luggage. We were also told upon arrival that there was an early check in fee which we were not told when we called ahead. After being there for one day we were greeted with a wasp and yellow jacket’s nest under the stairs next to our door which we were told throughout the whole stay that it would be taken care of and they refused to get it handled. We were told it would get done on Monday. By the the time we left a Monday had passed and another was vastly approaching. The pool area also had a bees nest so we were unable to use that as well. In our room it was a typical room set up with two Queen beds, an outdated television, separate sink area, very small bathroom with tub/shower combo, and old furniture. At day 4 our refrigerator was no longer working properly as well as the cabinetry it was in was so dry rot it fell apart trying to remove it out of our room. Once removed we saw so much dust/mold that was built up behind where the refrigerator once stood. I had to wear a mask scrub and clean to the best of my ability where I felt comfortable enough to continue staying due to my children and myself being allergic to dust and mold. The next day our toilet broke. It was leaking and flooding the bathroom floor where we then had to pack all of our things and move to another room that had spiders as soon as you walk in. After getting the children settled, I went to use the shower and saw a large clump of hair, dirt, and debris in the drain. I had to put gloves and yank and pull all the hair and build up out of the drain. And then clean it to make sure it was actually clean. We left a day early because enough was enough. We tried to make the best of what we had but it was extremely uncomfortable, not clean, or well maintained. With all of these issues we were told that we would be compensated as well as refunded for the day we did not stay. Upon receiving our receipt we saw there was no compensation whatsoever as well as no communication from management that we requested upon our departure. It truly was the worst hotel I have ever been to. Please with all sanity do not...
Read moreThis Best Western was far from what I was used to, but we were in that vicinity for a wedding at the Chateau Elaine and we probably should've stayed there. Upon our arrival, the room that was held for us was filthy, it had hair (looked like scalp, pubic and animal) all over the sheets!!! The room was stuffy and you could smell the thickness of the soot in the air. It was so thick you could hardly breathe, when I walked out to go show the pictures to the receptionist, I could actually taste the nasty air in my mouth, the difference from breathing in the room as opposed to outside was definitely noticeable! The receptionist apologized and was willing to change my room. She accommodated my Sister and I w/a king sized bed, which I didn't mind only cause it was my sister, but what an inconvenience, cause I'd rather slp alone. The next morning I spoke to the owner, who accepted the compliment that the aesthetics of the hotel looked great from the outside, but she did not even attempt to adjust my bill, which would've been more appreciated. Instead, she went on to tell me abt how the hotel was built in 1990 and they're slowly working on fixing the place up. I told her that I could tell that they're trying to upgrade it, but it reminded me of some motel I would've been able to afford as a teenager during Freak-Nic, or Black Bike Week in Daytona. The rooms need some drastic help and the least they could do is change the sheets, clean the carpets and wipe the doors down and paint over them. One thing I knw, is they also need to do away with/them old HVAC units😒 Anyways, the best thing I can say abt the Best Western Braselton Inn is that the lady who prepares the breakfast makes the bomb grits... They'd be perfect if she had cheese...
Read moreOkay, let's talk about the folks and their service. TOP NOTCH! Dillon and Meaghan greeted us the day we arrived. Were very hospitable and took care of us right away. Friendly! We returned for snacks and information, and again they were very helpful. Meghan, on a later evening, came to our room to help us with a remote. Did not make us wait til regular business hours. Terrific! Kelli runs the kitchen and serves a really terrific breakfast! Sausage, bacon, eggs, gravy, toast, etc. plus had lighter items for folks. If the coffee pot was almost empty, she brewed a fresh one. Breakfast area was kept neat and clean and the food was very tasty. She was very friendly as well. Next is Priya. I think she is a manager. She checked on us at breakfast each day, to make sure all was satisfactory and to get anything we may need. She asked how our room was. It, too, was neat and clean. Comfortable. We told her of our wonderful service during our stay. The day we checked out, she brought us a goodie to go bag with water and a couple of snacks and thanked us for holding our three family gathering there. She also attached a handwritten note thanking us for our stay and telling us how kind and wonderful we were. Eveyone made sure to tell us they hoped to see us on a return visit. When I asked to get everyone's names I had dealth with, Dillon told me that the others were all great folks to work with. That they were like a family. He said nice things about the others. I mean, this was top notich. It may not be a five star gazillion dollar hotel, but the service was equal to that! Do not hesitate to book the Best Western Braselton Inn. It was reasonably priced but worth more than that! We look forward...
