I am an avid 4/5 star hotel goer and even then I always arrive with my own linens, towels and cleaning supplies. When I got to our room it looked clean but still, I wiped down the bed frames and furniture. I noticed there wasn’t any dust or dirt on the cloth and it was just as clean as before I used it. I was literally shocked. I moved on to clean the bathroom but even it was already in top shape. Still, I wiped everything down using a white cloth and there was literally nothing on the rag. This hotel was cleaner than many of the 4 AND 5 star hotels I visited. Honestly I would have trusted their sheets but I’m just used to bringing my own from home that smell like fresh laundry 🤭 But theirs looked very clean, no hair or lint/fuzzies. The salt water pool was very clean, no nasty looking film floating on the surface that you see sometimes from people getting in without rinsing first. There was no smell or odor from chlorine or bacteria and the chairs were in good shape. There was even a lounge area with a modern fire pit. The staff was professional, courteous and attentive. The breakfast was nice and lasted for hours (6a-10a I think) which I thought was great! There was a good variety of options, with something for everyone, including pancakes, cereals, breads, muffins, eggs, potatoes, sausage, oatmeal, juices, tea, and coffee. I am simply blown away at our experience considering this is a “3 star” hotel. I chose this location because of the reviews specifically naming cleanliness and it did not disappoint. Also, this location allows pets and that is typically an immediate no for me. Most places that accept pets are not as clean, have an odor and the grounds aren’t kept well. None of those issues exists here. The hotel actually has a very noticeable pleasant fragrance like a private home would. If I hadn’t experienced this myself I wouldn’t have believed ANY 3 star was this nice. Thank you La Quinta for contributing to an awesome experience...
Read moreI waited until the morning of checkout before I made my review. Can I just say I love it? I’m a trucker and the usual hotels that allow us are like the Motel 6s and Super 8s. I’m a tad bit bougie for those so I never stop and usually just Uber to a hotel like Hyatt Place or similar. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I called LaQuinta Inn on 9/4/2020 and they told me they had truck parking. (I know what you’re thinking. It’s down the street from a truck stop. Of course they had parking. Not so fast. Not all hotels near a truck stop take truckers.) I checked in close to 2300, and service was still pleasant, fast and inviting. I believe her name was Lenae. She was the employee that answered the phone when I called. She was also the employee I checked in with. She was very sweet and was quick to answer any questions I had.
They just recently opened and everything was new. Everything was fresh. I was here for the night and didn’t get to explore everything else the hotel had to offer. Although, I did see someone in their gym working out, as I was walking up. I really enjoyed my stay and didn’t want to leave! They also allow pets for an additional $20, which was fine. They were accommodating, offered treats and even watched her while I went to grab something from the truck (while I was checking in). My pup also seemed to have fun in her new surrounding for the night lol. The breakfast was your everyday continental. I don’t partake because it’s usually bread, cereal or powder eggs but I went to see what was offered anyway. I ended up getting pancakes. I was SO AMAZED by their pancake machine lol.
Checkout was fast and easy.
My ONLY complaint is the truck parking area. When it rains, that area will be a nightmare. Not sure what the future plans are for trucks but hopefully it includes a bigger area and/or a paved lot?
Overall, we’ll be back if a stay...
Read moreMy family and I are frequent visitors to this hotel. We have stayed at least 50 nights within the last year. We have gotten to know the staff, and they have gotten to know us and our little boy. Latonda, Tanyah, and Mae have been amazing every single time we have visited, and if they were to leave I don't think we could come back. With that said, we reserved a room for only 1 night. At check in there was a glitch with their system and it was not showing that we had paid, but on our end we were showing the charge. Mae contacted the manager, Jaimin, and explained the situation. He asked for us to send a screenshot of our acct showing the charge and that he would have to contact the owner to see if there was a credit on their end, and for us to have a seat in the lobby and he would get back to us. We are so thankful that the ladies that were working this particular visit allowed us to just go to our room to wait because if we had to wait for the manager to call back or even communicate anything to us we would have had to sit there with our toddler for 2 hours. We were extremely frustrated with how Jaimin handled that situation. The lack of communication, consideration, and customer service was completely opposite of what we are used to receiving when we are there, and this came from the manager. When he did contact us two hours later we did not even receive a phone call. He sent a text. I'm sorry, but if you are going to make a Gold Rewards Member customer wait for 2 hours over $200 with zero communication in-between, then at least have the decency to call, not send a text. We are shocked at how the manager handled this, but so thankful for Mae, Tanyah, and Candi. Jaimin could learn a thing or...
