Rooms were a good size but overall cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. Housekeeping did come in and replace the towels, but didn't vacuum or make the beds. Our stay was three and a half days, and in that time, the lobby bathrooms did not get cleaned -it was not awful upon arrival, but noticing that the same litter was on the counters and floor 3 days later and the trash had not been taken out was gross. The pool area was disturbing. There was dirty toilet tissue tracked out of the bathroom and gobs of hair on the floor and floating in the pool. I didn't get a photo, unfortunately, but I opened the pool bathroom door to take my child to the restroom and was APPALLED. There were wet towels and tissue totally covering the floor, and it looked like someone had either p**ped or bled on them. I informed the front desk, and the next morning the pool area was closed "due to broken glass." Better than nothing I guess. We stayed on the 4th floor and the hotel was not near capacity but the noise from the other rooms was very loud throughout the night(s). I think it was mainly due to the large lobby area (very echoey), so I didn't complain about the noise, but know this isn't a quiet stay.

This hotel appears to be about a year old. It is a very modern design for a Country Inn & Suites. Ironically, it looks like a small Embassy Suites - with the way they have the rooms in a square surrounding an open air floor to roof atrium. The hotel room was clean and modern. The clerk at check-in was extremely nice and interactive. The bed was extremely firm and hurt my back. This hotel had the smallest toilet seats I have ever seen - definitely not designed for fully grown men. On our visit, they failed to clean our room after the first night - no cleaning, no made bed, no new towels. We paid nearly $130/night - which I think is high for this hotel and this location. Location of this hotel is odd. It is on a frontage room between two exists off I-85 in between warehouse buildings.

In a phrase: Poorly maintained. So many little things that made the hotel feel neglected. Here are a few: Comforter had an 18" hole with exposed stuffing (should have been obvious to housekeeping). Large gap under the door let in plenty of hallway noise. Found 3 items from former guests which gave the impression the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Lots of dents in the walls, especially the bathroom. One TV remote was for a completely different TV (and didn't work). Black spots in the shower, either dirt or mold. The two side-by-side elevators had separate call buttons (not a big deal, but contributed to my perception of poor maintenance) Breakfast was fine, no major complaints there.

My brother, sister, and I rented this room because our father has been in the hospital for weeks and we needed a place to rest our heads when we couldn't be at the hospital. Immediately, we began finding many issues with the room.

Where is a good place to start...?! Shortly after getting into the room, I found a German cockroach in the bathroom, What looked like a bloody handprint in the bathtub, what looked like snot (or some other bodily fluids) on the bed liner, And the pillowcases and sheets were stained with both fluids and hairs. All of which are extremely noticeable and a bit disturbing to be honest... So instead of sleeping in a bed, I slept on the couch, not folded into a bed because I didn't want to know what was on the fold out bed...That was Friday.

Saturday, we called the front desk to perform a full service on the room to try to rectify these issues. They originally came up and were just going to clean the bathtub out from the bloody handprint on the wall, and we let them know that the room needed a full service because of numerous other issues. They didn't seem very happy about that. After about 30 or 45 minutes they replaced all of the sheets and bed liners on the bed and clean the bathtub. That evening I went down to the indoor heated pool, which was indoors, but not heated. After which I returned to the room for a hot shower instead, and found another roach in the bathroom.

After running into the issues that I did the first night, I refuse to keep any of my belongings in the room because I didn't want my things to become infested or for me to carry any bugs into the hospital where my dad has been in the ICU for 2 weeks now.

I purposely picked this particular hotel because I assumed that because of the price, It would be in better condition and I would feel better about sleeping in a higher standard of a hotel. That was not the case.

Also, other things that I happen to notice are that your elevators are out of their inspection date and vibrate like crazy when returning down to the bottom floor. And the parking lot was littered with both liquor bottles and beer cans.

Let me finish this all out by saying, I am not normally one to complain but the amount of issues with this room and with this hotel were way over the top...we've been having to spend a lot of time in Braselton because my dad is at North Georgia Medical and has been there for weeks now. Most of us take turns staying up there with him at night and when we return to our hotels we want to be able to rest and sleep peacefully. And that was not the case with this hotel.

Definitely one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a hotel. And I don't say...

What happened, Country Inn? I've been staying there on my yearly trip from NC to MS since 2018. Up until now I had been completely satisfied. Reasonably priced, clean and comfortable, friendly staff.

I booked a reservation several weeks ago to find that the price had gone drastically up. When I asked why, I was told the hotel had been completely renovated. OK, I thought I'd go ahead and stay there again since I'd had good experiences.

The room was not as clean as it had been in previous years. There were crusty children's handprints all over the window. The ice bucket was greasy on the inside of the lid, and there was no plastic bag in it. The fridge wasn't cold enough to be safe and had a crack in the inside. I also don't know what "renovations" took place, because the room furnishings and the lobby furniture and carpet was exactly the same.

I stayed there one last time on my return trip, far too tired to start over with another hotel and hoping the problems had been a one-off. I was assigned the exact same room. The ice bucket still had the same grease pattern on it that I'd observed three weeks prior.

I'd been quoted one price at check in and when I found the receipt under the door the next morning, it was $30 higher than what I'd been told. They had neglected to include several fees plus taxes. On the way out I stopped at the counter to address this. I stated my problem matter-of-factly, and the man behind the counter, who I'd never seen before, responded with snark and said, "So you don't think you should have to pay taxes?" I said, "No, I just think that you should quote the customer the actual amount they will be charged." $30 is a lot of money to a lot of people these days. He then started ranting at me that I'd "done this the last time." I had not had this problem before, nor had I seen this man before. Every way I tried to politely handle the problem, he responded with sarcasm and disrespect. I did get the $30 back, but the interaction was unprofessional and completely uncalled for. I didn't pursue dealing with his behavior through management because quite frankly I just wanted to get out of there, and at this point I felt invisible.

I am giving this place a second star for the single reason that they offer enough pillows and the beds were comfortable. But between the dirty window, dirty ice bucket, and rude customer service, I will not be back to this hotel. It makes me sad, because before this "renovation" this hotel was a bright spot in a boring 2-day...

Below I'll describe my stay here but here's a quick overall review if you don't want to read the entire review:

Pros: Friendly, professional front desk staff. Nice lobby and sitting area w/ tv. Nice free breakfast and breakfast area w/ tv. Small but sufficient fitness room and nice indoor pool.

Cons: Housekeeping very poor, carpet in room dirty, walls very thin, poor wifi, and the bathroom fan is on a motion sensor so every time someone walks by the bathroom door the fan comes on and no way to shut it off if you are in the bathroom.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. When we checked in the staff was friendly and professional. The lobby was nice and they have a nice free breakfast area with TV. We got up to our room and discovered the road noise from I-85 was very loud and lady bugs (dead and alive) all over the window sill and a few on the floor in front of the window. I know lady bugs are supposed to be good luck (not sure about dead ones though) but I don't think that was the case here. I didn't notify the front desk at that time because I could live with them for one night and I assumed the housekeeper would clean them up the next day when the room was cleaned. That was a mistake because when we got back to our room later the next day we found the room was never cleaned. And we were out of the room from 11 am to 5:30 pm, so there was ample opportunity to clean our room. Now I decide to notify the front desk to have the room and the lady bugs cleaned and I was told they had already left for the day but she could give me clean towels if needed.

The next day when we left the hotel around noon I stopped at the front desk to make sure housecleaning made our room and cleaned the lady bugs from the window sill. When we got back later that day the room was made but the lady bugs were still there and they never vacuumed the carpets or cleaned the bathroom floor! I called the front desk to complain and she was very apologetic and said she didn't know why they didn't properly clean the room. And again, housekeeping was already gone for the day.

I'll end this on a slightly positive note and why I rated this hotel two stars instead of one. When I emailed the General Manager of the hotel she was very responsive and promised to look into this and address it with housekeeping so it doesn't happen again. Unfortunately there is not much she can do about the thin walls. I do applaud the GM (Paula) for being proactive and...
