My rating is more like a 3.5. The hotel is average. You can tell there are elements that require updating but they're doing the best with what they've got. Their holiday decorations & fireplace made the lobby very inviting. The staff is friendly & thoughtful - we received a little care package for celebrating a couple milestones. They have a 'happy hour' on Friday evenings where they offer some cheese, crackers & meat with wine & cookies. ||||They have a nice, small community space with various boardgames and a hot tub. Though the hot tub is not necessarily located in the most inviting place. We had a balcony facing the mountains, but the road right in front of the hotel is busy so it's not the most inviting/relaxing space to hang out.||||Their breakfast options were fine. They have microwavable egg sandwiches, hard boiled eggs, donuts, waffles and all the other prepackaged items you expect from a continental breakfast. I do appreciate that they offer fruit & some other snacks in the community space all day long. ||||Parking on Main St was a nightmare while we were there (Jan 3rd) and had to pay wayyyy too much to park in the parking structure for just a couple hours. I recommend parking at the hotel & taking public transit into the downtown area. There are many buses that take you to the Breckenridge Transit Center. The bus stop that goes directly into downtown is across the street. There is a crosswalk down the road, but if you don't want to make that trek, you'd have to cross 4 lanes of busy traffic with a median in the middle. It is possible to get across safely though when the lights line up correctly. We took the Green line to get back to the hotel from downtown.||||Overall, I was expecting something a little more elevated so I was slightly disappointed with the property & amenities, but I'd stay there again now that I know...

PERSONAL NOTE: THIS IS THE BEST VALUE for ANY accommodations in Breckenridge in the winter ! PERIOD !
I am a Diamond member of Hilton, I know quality per price.
So for all the people who want to complain (give 1 star) about all the small incidental stuff of : no hot tub working, handle broke on faucet yet still operational , broken screen door yet you wont use the screen anyways, rave about free snacks (clearly you are price driven), no elevator as you could have looked up prior to!.... ridiculous seeing these stupid reviews of people who expect champagne accommodations on beer budget. Does anyone not do room comparison? Expecting no issues? than spend the extra $800-2000/night at diff hotel. Some people say its outdated, but its suppose to fit into the theme as Breckenridge village is known for, its...
Read moreMy family and I spent our weekend here and Unfortunately at the night of our check in, the sink handle in our room broke and we had called front desk about the situation which we were told that someone was on the way to fix the sink, unfortunately no one showed up. Gratefully, the sink was still working without the missing handle. Just imagine if it wasn’t?! But overall our time here was great!
The next morning of our arrival, we were scheduled for a tour at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8. We were told it would take us hour and half but we ended up spending more time expected which made us late to our next reservation. I am in the business marketing so one thing would say is that i admired the company’s marketing department how they lured us in. They did a great job! When we heard the word “tour” we had different idea. But anyways we loved what they do. We even loved how their offices were set up not to mention their loaded snacks and drinks for their customers.
The part that threw me off was when we arrived at the main entrance, there gentlemen were casually talking which appeared to us that were the valet parking employees. They didn’t even acknowledge us as we pulled in and even one of the guys told us to park our own vehicle. He seemed like he was forced to do his job.No sense of respect and motivation. For someone that works at the entrance (face) of a prestigious company, at least have some type of customer service skills or even a fake smile...
