Original story. We reserved (and paid in full) our equipment in September for our trip that was planned for December. Then, the dates changed for our trip. Instead of spending the 27 days we originally planned, reserved, and paid for, we were only able to ski for 15 days. I will tell you what, it was like pulling teeth to get our money back! We were not able speak to Dave in person nor on the phone - there was always a reason. Turns out, Dave wanted everything to be handled via email or text. Then, once Dave finally did issue a refund, it was short by $218.69! Even though I had sent him a detailed itemization of the charges and refund due. Now, the staff was friendly enough (they had no ability to help with the issuing the refund - they maybe even seemed somewhat sympathetic to our plight) And the equipment was adequate. Read moreI emailed the shop a couple weeks before my arrival to arrange my ski party rentals and that would be coming in late. The shop representative was willing to have the shop open late for us. I emailed the day before our arrival and no response due to the guy being sick. So I called the morning of to confirm that we will be arriving late and the person there said he'll leave a note for the evening shift informing them we'll be coming and to call them when we land. I called right after we landed at 7:30pm to confirm that we were still coming. The rep said yes, we'll be here and give him a call when we get close. So, I called when we got close and no answer. Went to AMR shop at 9:40pm and they were closed. IF we arranged for rentals and confirmed that we were coming late then why not accommodate a party of 15+? Read moreBeen renting from this place for 15 years, and ever since buying skis, I've gotten a few tune ups. I tried to get my skis tuned up again recently. I called on a Saturday afternoon to ask if I dropped em off Sunday afternoon, would I be able to pick em up Monday evening (since I was skiing Tues morning). The guy on the phone asked someone, and then said that it would be no problem. So I went in on Sunday afternoon and dropped them off, and was told again that it would be no problem and they'd be done by Monday evening. Monday night came around and I hadn't gotten a call, but I drove over there to pick up my skis, which I assumed were ready, but they hadn't even been touched. I understand that it's probably difficult to get anyone with much of a brain to work in a ski rental shop, but I'm pretty disappointed and will be taking my business to one of the hundred other ski...
