Total chaos. Claimed booking company screwed up my booking, saying it happens all the time. Then couldn't run credit card, so has to write down card number to run later. Over charged me, not as described. Forgot to give us the wifi info. Suggest a great pizza place and said it was a 5 minute walk at most. It's over half a mile away. Rich was clueless 🙈 and a failed to accept thier system was the issue why nothing worked. Told they have breakfast, but the don't. Lights near bed, can't be reached from bed to turn off. Outdated and not family friendly. Toilet is super low, ie a 4 yr old feet touch the floor when sitting on it. Shower head is for a person under 5 ft. Avoid this place at all costs. Sink is very low, perfect fir young kids, but not adults. See picture, and its on 2nd floor, so not for handicapped. Carpet was redone, but big gaps that collect dust, and a sign warning g if you leave the bathroom door open when showering, dire alarm goes off. That is some bad wiring, and violates fire and safety code, but the dont care.

Definitely need to quote, "Don't judge a book by its cover", when considering this hotel. It's not the best-looking hotel on the outside, but the inside is renovated well beyond my expectations. Mostly everything in the room had the same quality as a more expensive hotel, so it was definitely worth the stay for the price. **Complimentary breakfast is not provided at this hotel, so please keep that in mind when considering this hotel. But, Mattie's Pancake House is a fantastic breakfast spot and it's across the street.

Horrible experience here on 7/17/23. First off found a clump of hair right on the bathroom floor. Stains all over the carpets, stains in the chairs, inside the shower head, it had a ton of dirt. Will not ever be coming back, nor would I recommend this hotel to anybody. Tweakers look like they were living in 2 of the rooms.

I should start off by saying I am from a large California city. My standards are high. On a last minute trip to Brookings to see my dad I was left with virtually no selection on motels/hotels. I guess there was a pirate festival going on at the same time. I assure you this is not the reason I was visiting. The outside looked ok-ish. It could definitely use a new paint job and some exterior work. I read the reviews online and they were mixed. Again, I had no other options in town.

I am not sure how this place passed inspection. There are several signs in the room that indicate you have to shower with the door closed or the smoke detector will go off. What?!? The carpet is FILTHY. When I got out of the shower I walked barefoot to the bed and my feet were black. I got back in the shower and scrubbed my feet again. Same thing happened. The curtains are short (barely covered the window). They were thin and cheap. Not even blackout.

The Tv and Microwave did not have the correct time. It seems petty, but come on. Nobody took the time to program the Tv correctly.

The individual who checked me in could use a course in customer service. She was not rude, but her tone was not welcoming. When I checked out the next morning there was a different female working up front with her daughter (I assume). She was friendly and very polite.

The photos inside the rooms are not accurate. Wood floors? Hahahah. No. It is entirely possible that they are in the process of renovating. Renovating is not an excuse to leave your other rooms in poor condition.

Will I be staying here again? No. Would I recommend it? No. I would not allow my cat or dog to lay on the carpet.

I was not expecting to stay at the Embassy Suites, but I...

Absolutely rudest, heartless, judgmental experience I've had to deal with. I'm from WA and don't book my own hotels outside of WA. While asking about rooms and having an ESA animal the man was SO condensending in his response and information he gave me. I could totally tell he thinks ESA and service animals are a joke. They only had specific rooms for those which were filled up. He let me know there are only 3 disabilities they will allow a service animal for one of which is seizures. I explained that my 10 year old son does have seizures which he laughed at me and was "ya, ok". What do I need? His doctors note? The results of his brain scan? The medical report from his daycare having to call 911 because of them? I would really like this dude to experience the first time finding out your kid has seizures as a single parent and no one there to help you or support you at 3AM thinking your child is dying in your arms as you wait for an ambulance because you don't know what is going on. Shame on you. You DO NOT know what other people are going through. Go ahead and look back at my review for Ascend to the Heights (which was when his diagnosis first started and they were a daycare for him) in which I reemed them for their poor communication with their staff about his condition. Absolutely BS. Learn some professionalism. Keep you opinions to yourself and learn some...

I will start with the bottom line - I strongly advising you to stay away from the harbor inn chain in Brooking. Their service is terrible and they have no idea how to serve a customer. I will never go there and advise you to do the same! If you want to understand why I'm so harsh read on. Booked a room via Priceline. No pet limitation where mentioned in the process. When arrived I told the receptionist about the pet we have. She demanded 45% more money to switch from the original room to a pet-allowd room which is basically same room. She spoke to her manager for 25 minutes while I'm waiting standing with no empathy to me (the customer). Eventually she said that he is coming. He came erogant and rude and explain to me that he doesn't really care if Priceline didn't mention anything in the booking process (despite the fact that he himself saw that there is no mention on the site). When I express my discomfort he rudely told me that he is not willing to deal with this attitude and he is cancelling my order. I wasted 35 minutes of my time, was treated horribly and ruin my mood for the rest of the evening (not a good thing when you on a trip with your family). I ended up finding another hotel (wild River Motolodge) with great customer service and better room with a...
