My wife and I had visited this store the other day: As we walk in she spots a calligraphy set ; it was nice-But Not 125.00 dollars nice(they are 30 to 40 dollars on-line)...so as we browse thru the store my wife needs to use the restroom-i go ask the cashier where it is, she says: "we don't have one"- as I'm returning to the spot I left my wife at when I overhear one of the staff say to another co-worker- "I'll be right back I have to use the bathroom"...hmmm I think We'll it gets better: I'm on one side of a isle, my wife in next isle over and I hear a der woman saying to my wife: "I'm following you, I was told told to follow you to make sure you don't steal anything"....at this point I come around the corner and ask what was the issue? I then ask again where the restroom is, to this I am told it's not working. My point is: Don't lie to me-just say we don't have public restrooms And Very rude by stating about following customers. My wife and I both work, and in the hospitality industry. To be treated like this is quite unprofessional, demeaning and very upsetting. We will NOT shop there ever-and will inform everyone we meet to not...
Read moreCame inside on a whim, left with dozens of vintage buttons, a couple pristine Nancy Drews, a pocket guide to the trees of the Pacific Coast, and a full 54-piece set of gold-plated flatware in its original box. Turns out everything in store was 50% off so my entire purchase was $28. Can’t beat this thrift store for cost to value! Everything is scrupulously organized, with very reasonable prices (if it seems high, maybe you’re missing something; I felt that the higher priced items were scaled very reasonably based on their age and condition.) It feels like the cheapest antique store I’ve ever been to, which is probably a better comparison than, say, the Goodwill bins.
For those complaining: don’t expect to haggle, this is a business, not a garage sale. Bathrooms exist for staff but not the general public, and that’s a perfectly acceptable choice for a small business to make. And final sale is a very reasonable and standard policy for this kind of shop.
Bottom line: this was hands down one of the highlights of our trip, and we’ll be looking forward to more visits in the future. Don’t be a...
Read moreI used to volunteer here and I can confirm that each clothing item looks almost like new. They got clothes for babies up to the elderly with fine clothes for fancy occasions like prom. They also got maturnity clothes, scrubs, and clothes for teenagers. There's also a huge selection of VHS tapes, books, DVDs, tested electronics, pet supplies, craft supplies, board games, and eatery ware. I wouldn't recommend them for toys as their selection for those are very small.
Their prices are very reasonable. They even have color sales that change around every week. One color means the item of any kind is half off and another color on clothes only means they are only a dollar. With careful shopping, you can take home a lot of clothes for $20; the same price for one shirt bought new anywhere else.
All of their earnings go towards the local humane society. That means food, spaying, neutering, and other needed supplies are covered. That's the main reason...
