This is a tough place to review.... The rating one gives is influenced by so many outside factors though some are internal. So it's tough to find a reasonable cost clean and nice and secure location in Burbank. Personally I would recommend another but the cost at that location is a third more than this location, thought that one has a better location going for it as well. See my other Burbank, hotel review from this trip. So this hotel doesn't have as nice an secure feeling neighborhood, it does have Franks Restaurant attached which is not open but is a fun thing to look at, it's like it just closed and everything inside looks like it's open for business, that's cuz so many movies and tv shows use it for filming, there is a list posted on the window, fun and interesting thing to look at while staying here. The front desk was friendly on check in though I had to wait for them to return from the store. The rooms are upgraded at some point not that long ago, though you get the feeling while the hotel tried, it can't keep up with a clientele that sometimes you get the feeling at this hotel beats up the rooms a bit. Some of the furniture though not that hold isn't handling that well. You get the feeling that though the room is kept clean it still is somehow dirty it's hard to describe, and the sirens on the street during the night I guess either added or detracted from the atmosphere here. I don't feel like I would bring my family here though it was a good place to overnight as I attended a Dodger game with not a horrific commute to the stadium or other nearby Burbank locations. The bed was ok, but I can't say I slept well and the shower does have low water pressure and towels are small and a bit worn. So yes, for the area and for the price I kinda have to give it a 4, because it could be so much worse, though I'm not sure I would personally stay again and keep in my pursuit of the ultimate in mid priced but great Burbank...
Read moreAfter arriving the first was told that the 2 rooms we reserved only had one bed each we were a family of 6 we had no choice but to squeeze ourselves into these 2 rooms.the smell in one was awful and noisy all night .it looked like a very old motel just coving up it’s blemishes with a bit of makeup still felt old and dingy for the price I would have rather stayed at a motel 6. They got us 2 new rooms for the next 2 nights which was fine but we had to pack up all our stuff the second morning and lug it to universal the next morning and then in pack it again after arriving back at the motel after a long exhausting trip to universal studios.our new rooms well again still showed that I just woke up in the morning look.very dingy and dark.picture propped up against the wall and not rehung obviously. Internet not very good no microwave switches broken and furniture very old and scratched up sheet had some stains on it and the wash looked dirty.hardly found the place in a very old not so great part of town .no lit up hotel sign just a very old looking building.looked like a motel from 1950. Couldn’t get anything but scalding hot water.couldnt use the mini fridge as everything froze and no where to adjust temp.lighting so bright you thought you were in a office bldg.drapes were falling off rods in both rooms. I would never stay there again not even if you...
Read moreI didn't like how the manager kept insinuating that we were going to have loud parties in the rooms or a lot of extra overnight guests because we were from out of town for a wedding. The manager and most staff were not friendly or accommodating for most requests and calls my room to have me leave 15 minutes after 11 even though it was in the notes that I had a late checkout and he insisted that it was not possible but then found it in his notes. The size of the rooms were a good size but they shifted our rooms around so much that we didn't get the rooms that we were booked for when placing our reservations and we didn't all get the beds we were booked for or even the amount of days. They wouldn't honor the wedding guest prices we were quoted even calling a week or two before the stay. Also some of the bathrooms needed upgrade but the free breakfast was literally the best part of the stay because they had such a good variety of food and drinks. We decided to stay at this hotel because they were giving the wedding guests deals on the rates and they were the lowest prices in the area we needed. On a good note though they didn't give us a hard time about any of the children with our total party aside from saying we would be charged extra if the children...
