I’d like to start to say I was very disappointed in our dinner at Centanni Trattoria ,we had reservations for over 10 days and when we got there they treated us like we were just walk ins. They seated Us in the bar, and we had our nine year old son with us. I mentioned to the hostess/might’ve been the manager or the owner, not sure? That it was my wife’s birthday and she said let me see if we have a table but I had told her we had a reservation under my wife’s name,I went an looked if the dining room was full and it wasn’t. There were tables and booths available, and we both had looked at the website and were really looking forward the the whole Italian dinner experience in a really nice Italian restaurant with Italian waiters offering us different wines telling us about the meal, and when I asked waitress if she could tell me more about the Bistecca ,she said it’s a steak, I said I understand that, but I don’t know what that is an how do I pronounce the word Bistecca ,that sounds interesting. Can you tell me about it and she said it’s a steak. and it was a $30 steak,an since I did not know anything about this Bistecca and the waitress obviously didn’t know what it really was either. I said I’ll have the lasagna and they placed our order after a few minutes, I believe we have had our salads and the first order of garlic bread , when the bartender/waitress came to take our neighbor table order, she started to take their order and I heard one of the ladies say is there any specials and the bartender/waitress. said oh yeah and kind of pointed to this giant chalkboard, that’s when my wife and I said their specials? and we turned and looked and there was like three items that we were interested in but did not see them on the menu. The bartender/waitress never asked us or told us about the specials or pointed to the board wile taking our order , my wife really loves lobster bisque she loves lobster raviolis and she loves stuffed lobster tails and it was her birthday so she could’ve ordered anything or all of those items.. we eat our food. My son did not like the lasagna one bit because it wasn’t yellow and red like he is a custom to. I told him it was very very good very meaty and cheesy and just really really good but he could not get past the way it looked and tasted, so we ordered him a bowl of spaghetti with red sauce. He enjoyed it, but I was kind of taken back when I saw the spaghetti on the bill,it’s just a handful of spaghetti and a splash of red sauce. but I paid for it and took his lasagna home and I will eat it for lunch on Christmas day with the garlic bread which was very very good and I loved the lasagna. My wife loved the raviolis with the New York steak in them. They were fabulous……. This is my second draft of my review because when We got home from the meal, we both agreed that it wasn’t really the experience we were led to believe by the website and I thought it would be best if we gave a review an honest review, and when we read it, it seemed like we were really picky and being petty so I deleted my first review. Then as I laid in bed thinking about opening presents with my family on Christmas morning there was something bothering me and I just cannot go to sleep. It was the fact that my wife was really looking forward to a real honest to goodness Italian meal for her birthday on Christmas Eve,and She didn’t get that. I get it we were first timers to this fine establishment but the fact that we had a reservation and I mentioned to the hostess that it was my wife’s birthday, and we were very excited and looking forward to enjoyed some good Italian food.but They still just sat us in the bar. The bartender was our waitress. It was kind of disappointing when we were looking forward to the full dining experience that their website portrays. Maybe will try it again someday,...
Read moreWe took our friend here to celebrate his birthday because his brother recommended this place. The parking is very limited but I was lucky enough to get a spot where the exit was so if there none then you'll have to park on the street. I made reservations on OpenTable ahead of time. We got there early so I checked in with the host (i think shes the owner or manager) and she seated us right away, she was very polite. It took our waiter like 25 minutes for him to come take our drinks order and appetizer. We got the Garlic Bread and truffle fries, I also ordered a Sprite. When my sprite came, there was no bubbles and basically looked like water. So when I drank it, it was of course flat and my friend got a Dr. Pepper which was also flat. We let the waiter know and he said he's aware of it but there nothing he could do beside taking it off the check for us so we told him ok. The Garlic Bread came out and I thought it was just okay but the truffle fries was amazing and I don't like truffle. For my entrée I got the Bistecca New York Steak and asked for double regular fries as my side. The waiter didn't ask how I would like my meat done so I had to tell him that I wanted medium rare. When my steak came out, I was highly disappointed because it had no flavor (no taste of salt or crushed pepper). I think they expect the special sauce to be used on it but I didn't like the sauce taste so it was pretty bad. My friend asked for a Margherita Pizza but we got instead a White Pizza which was okay but not that good. The waiter did however give our friend a nice dessert with a candle since he knew we were celebrating a birthday. He also charge us for the soda drinks even though he said he wouldn't take it off but I didn't want to dispute it.
Service: It was pretty slow, I understand with staffing shortage and having only 1 waiter but the place wasn't busy.
Food: It wasn't the best especially my dish and my friends didn't enjoy theirs as well.
Indoor Venue: The inside is nicely decorated and can fit a decent amount of guest.
Parking: Very limited, especially if someone parked badly then you...
Read moreThis is one of our favorite spots. I love the salmone farfalle. Yum! My GF and I decided to go last night without a reservation. The co-owner greeted us and was very nice. She gave us a table right away even though they were a bit crowded. She explained it may take about 20 minutes for the food to arrive as the kitchen was slammed. I told her no problem and I would have the red cab wine with bread while we waited. She came back immediately with our wine and bread. The waiter came and took our order right away. It was about 25 minutes later and our food arrived. I had the salmone farfalle and my gf had lasagna. The waiter forgot to ask if we wanted Parmesan cheese but once we asked, he came back immediately and grated some on our food. The dishes were delicious and we could taste the cheeses and sauce melt in our mouths. ( we tasted each other’s entrees). We also had garlic cheese bread and we loved it. To top it off we finished with the Crème Brûlée . Delicious! The restaurant did not disappoint us and we had another great experience. Only thing is the parking lot is small and the wait may take long but when our dishes arrived it was worth the wait. The place is clean and classy. Many families were enjoying dinner. They also have a small bar. We had taken pictures of our food but it would not do justice as we had already taken bites of it because we could not wait to...
