As of this review they have a 4.8 rating and I feel it is well deserved... I am from the southwest and if there is anything I do know, is quality mexican food... I ordered a burrito and had it dressed like an enchilada with the red sauce and cheese. My food arrived just as I ordered it and it was delicious! Taking into consideration the location and the fact it is very far from the southwest, the food was authentic. Had this restaurant been opened in Phoenix or southern California it would probably struggle to compete. Not because of the food quality but rather the competition of mexican food restaunts there is INTENSE to say the least. The fact is, this restaurant and the food here is a very accurate representation of southwestern mexican food. If you are looking for an accurate mexican food restaurant to satisfy your mexican food craving you will not be dissapointed in this restaurant OR the wonderful people that work here. On a side note, the ice tea here is brewed to delicious thirst quenching perfection in my opinion... If I find myself in Blairsville again in the future this restaurant is definately on my list of places to return...
Read moreOTR Truckers... Walked over from Sheetz Truck Stop. Pleasantly surprised to find a very clean 'authentic' Mexican food place in the WalMart strip mall. Jay, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable and made excellent suggestions. We had adult beverages, a beer and a margarita. Large drinks for reasonable prices. Complimentary chips and salsa, and a sweet ranch dip were very good. Ordered a side of white queso dip, $3.95. Totally worth the price for awesome cheese dip. The 1st plate, a 3 enchilada plate, $9.99, made to order, chicken, cheese and spinach. The chicken enchilada was good, a bit bland, just chicken in a corn tortilla, but LOTS of shredded chicken. The cheese enchilada was also good, lots of cheese and tasty. My favorite was the Spinach enchilada. A first for me. Wow! Super yummy! Next time I will order 3 spinach enchiladas!
The 2nd plate, a combo specialty plate, $14.99, 'The Special Dinner', chalupa, Chile relleno, beef taco, enchilada and a tamale! Beans and rice! Everything was amazing! The portions are large, served hot and well plated. Definitely will return any time we are in the area....
Read moreWe moved into the area a year ago and looked for a good Mexican restaurant within a reasonable distance of our home. Out of all that we tried, El Paso not only turned out to be the best Mexican restaurant we found, it has become the restaurant of any type that we frequent the most for a number of reasons:
The food is consistently good at this restaurant and we have never had a long wait for it to be served
The staff is extremely friendly and attentive waiting on tables
The restaurant facility itself is clean and comfortable
There is ample parking
Prices are very reasonable and we find them to be not much higher than fast food
It is not only a convenient place to grab a quick lunch or dinner if we hit the Walmart next to it and we want to grab something to eat, we have frequently driven there for dinner even after shopping in Latrobe, Greensburg, or Delmont because of the experience this...
