This hotel is a mess! Rooms are under construction. Our room was on the second floor and it appeared that our room was one of very few that was in service. The lobby is under construction, the breakfast area was under construction and every hallway we went into was under construction. Drywall dust is everywhere and the hotel was dirty and had a very bad smell in the building and it was very strong in the room. All you heard while in your room was the banging of hammers. None of this was disclosed at the time of our reservation. There were workers everywhere in this hotel. Who even knows who is supposed to be there. The drywall dust was unbelievable and made the atmosphere on the second floor very cloudy and difficult to breathe. For reasons out of our control we had to check out early, so I asked for the manager to call me to discuss our individual situation. We were at this hotel for a total of maybe 2 hours. The manager called me and tried to tell me that all of the hotel was completed and not under construction with the exception of the breakfast area. When I stated that the rooms all around the room we were in weren’t operable she blamed it on a tornado and completely contradicted her previous statement, mind you the outside of the building didn’t appear to be damaged just the inside of the rooms. Funny how tornados work, huh? I ended up disconnecting the call because the information that she was attempting to convince me of was completely contradictory and quite honestly I just didn’t want to hear what she had to say that wasn’t true. I was fine with paying a one night cancel fee. But it needs to be disclosed that this hotel is not what you would expect from a Hilton property. They should be ashamed of the condition of this hotel and should probably finish construction before allowing customers to stay in this hotel. Oh and the cleaning staff need to probably learn what is acceptable, the beds weren’t all the way made and it appeared that the top blanket on one of the beds had snot on it. In all fairness it could’ve been glue or some other type of construction material. Who even knows. Completely unrelated and not at all the fault of the hotel but beware the roads all around the hotel are also under construction. All in all just a bad experience and well completely disheartening that the hotel management just could’ve cared less. The one shining star in this whole thing was the gal at the front desk, Olivia. She was very kind and quite a ray of sunshine in the gross hotel. Thank you Olivia! I hope someone gives you the recognition you deserve. Olivia is the only reason the customer service rating was...
Read moreVery disappointed in this hotel. As a Diamond member, I'm accustomed to a warm welcome upon my arrival. Instead, as I arrived late in the evening, the woman at the front desk stared at me as I approached the desk. No hello, no smile. Instead, all I received was a "checking in"? She also spent most of her time checking me in watching some young women in the pantry area with a very annoyed look on her face. I was never acknowledged as a Diamond member, and I had to ask for my complimentary bottles of water. When I arrived at the room, I noticed there was no chair for the desk. I also noticed that there was something like a Cheeto under the sink, indicating that a thorough cleaning had not occurred. Also, as much as I tried, I couldn't get the thermostat to go below 73 degrees for the entire night. I told the front desk person, (who was wearing ear buds by the way) the next morning who said he would have my room recleaned. The Cheeto remained under the sink the entire remaining 4 days of my stay. At breakfast on the second morning, I asked the breakfast attendant if there were any more bagels because they were out in the pastry server. He gave a rather rude sounding and non-committal answer of, "I don't know, the truck just came in", to which I answered, "it's okay, I'll just have an English muffin". 5 minutes later, he comes out of the serving area carrying a tray full of fresh bagles. Are you kidding me?! The morning of my departure, I went to put the two bowls, fork, and spoon, that I used during my stay into the dishwasher. To my surprise, it was full of the previous guests' dishes! I put my dishes in and ran them all together, not knowing if the other dishes has been washed or not. I also noted that, although my room was "cleaned" twice during my stay, my coffee service was never replenished. Customer service and attention to detail here need a good deal of...
Read moreDo not stay here.
We reserved a room online as well as put arrival time at 4pm. Upon arrival the front desk employee said “the room you picked isn’t clean yet and I’m not even sure housekeeping is going to get to it today. You can check back in an hour. Oh, and the hot tub is broken right now so it’s more like a warm tub.”
We just picked a different room. Should have canceled the reservation due to that lack of care and knowledge.
This place is dirty. When we first walked into the room there’s someone’s hair tie, there was food on the floor. The toilet was not clean. There was stuff splattered on the tables, walls and floors. The windows were so hazy. Drywall dust on the couch. When we sat on the bed, you sink straight to the floor, as if there was no boxspring. There was no ironing board in the room. When we asked for one, a filthy one was brought.
The next morning, when I left the room, the number plates for the rooms were taken off the doors. The wallpaper was being removed and items from the rooms were scattered in the hallways. There were workmen right outside our door, drilling, and shop vacuuming. The room key stopped working. At no point did management mention this hotel was under reservation at no point did it say on their website, the hotel was under renovation.
When we went to checkout early due to not wanting to breathe in years of dust and hear the renovation noise. Manny informed us that he couldn’t do a refund right away. (According to Hilton Corporate, he had that ability.) But he’d get to it tomorrow. He only partially refunded our stay 4 days later.
I only contacted the hotel by one phone call, they forwarded me to corporate Hilton. When corporate Hilton got in touch the hotel, the hotel employee stated we had called multiple times and then proceeded to hang up on the Hilton representative. Dishonest and...
