Horrible customer service and deceptive business practices. They refuse to assist with any error on their part and send you back to your booking source (witnessed it happen to multiple people including myself) the one employee lied straight to my face after witnessing the conversation with the agent. No manager was available, which he told the agent there was one. My reservation was not honored even after someone here accepted the update, but some how the price was updated. Rooms were also not ready at check in time, super long line. The property appears to be under construction, minimal lighting in the parking area. Doors have key card access but it is broken. Homeless people are sleeping in the parking lot and around the motel. Requested non-smoking room and the room smelled of cigarettes (my daughter coughed all night) asked for air fresher and “no” spoke English to assist with the issue. Called the front desk numerous times to request another pillow and towel with no success. Roaches in the room, and the bathroom was not clean.

Not bad for a Motel 6. The room was clean. There were a lot of new businesses in the area so the location was better than expected. The hotel itself was under renovation so it might be improved in the future. The pool was okay but there was no hot tub. Perhaps after the renovations they will have one. The staff was nice. The walls are a bit thin so you can easily hear your neighbors. The toilet had a slow leak (Room 117) so it would refill 4 or 5 times during the night which was annoying. The shower was poorly designed. You had to get all the way in to turn on the water and you would get sprayed with cold water. No way to avoid it. However, we were satisfied enough to add one night (spent two nights) rather than move to a different hotel. They can improve with a little more renovation and repair.

Wasn't expecting much from a 2 Star hotel, but this place didn't have anything. Ice machine, vending machine, broken. No coffee or any of the basic hotel stuff. Besides that the rooms were ok. When I'm in California I work in Compton so this hotel is close enough so I can avoid the freeway. It's a convenient location and it's across the street from a huge mall with just about every store and food place you can imagine. I'll probably choose a different hotel next time. While I don't require more than a bed and shower the lack of basics like Ice and vending machines, and the promised amenities like coffee being non existent makes it hard to justify 100 bucks a night. I'd rather pay more for slightly better.

There is new management that oversees this property now and it has taken a turn for the worst.I stayed at this location from August 9th-Saturday August 12th. When I checked in, there was a lady upset because she had gotten wet paint on her dress and the property didn't have wet signs out. I should've taken this as a sign that my stay wasn't going to be good. When I checked in it was after 3:30 pm and my room wasn't ready. Granted, check in was at 3 pm. I had booked a handicapped room for my disabled aunt who has a medical condition. We get in the room and then I go to the front desk and ask for a couple of blankets in case we get cold at night. The hotel manager tells me that they have a full house that night and may or may not be able to accomodate the extra blankets. He was willing to give me one blanket which was fine I would give that to my aunt. Now keep in mind, we NEVER received the blanket and I let that go. ||Anytime I called the front desk about something, they NEVER answered the phone. That again speaks to the poor customer service that was received. Now the other issue we had was over the housekeeping. They stated when we got there they dont give housekeeping for 3 nights. It would've been nice to know this policy when I booked the property because that was a big issue. The only time housekeeping addressed us was to bring towels, toilet paper, and they changed the trash cans on the second day of our stay. Other than that we were left to fend for ourselves. That wouldn't be too big of a deal except when our trash cans were full there was nowhere for us to go and dispose of our trash. I assumed there was a dumpster in the alley in the back of the property but I refused to go back there for safety reasons. It had become clear the property had skimped on amenities and cut services to save money at this point. There was no daily housekeeping, and the pool hours were cut from what they were the last time I stayed there. Also the jacuzzi was taken out.||The day that I checked out, they took an extra charge for $30 dollars without my consent in addition to keeping my deposit. I called the hotel to ask about the charges and was told that my relative had an accident in the bed. I apologized because I didn't know she had an accident in the bed. Then, I asked was the damage done to the mattress or the sheet. The manager of the property told me NO damage was done to the mattress. The sheet was damaged so theyre keeping my deposit and charged an extra $30 for a sheet. Now you're charging me $80 for a sheet? He also said the room was trashed which was NOT true. We did have full trash cans and trash that we didn't dispose of because there were no trash cans in the lobby or side entrances for us to use. Like I stated previously, we had received no housekeeping services and there wasnt accessible trash cans for me to dispose the trash myself so we shouldn't have been penalized for having trash in the room. The punishment was excessive especially when the manager screamed in the phone about putting us on the ban list. It is sad because I was a frequent customer of this particular Motel 6 over the years and would never stay there again. They do not value customer service, or understand how to resolve conflict. My issue isn't about compensation, but more about the fact we were treated like trash and nickel and dimed during our stay. I will never recommend this place to anyone.||Also throughout my stay customers were having issues with the property and was upset at the front desk as well so stay away unless you have no...

This place is a total SCAM, buyer beware!! When we arrived at Motel 6 after delayed flights and a 9hr trip, we were greeted by two men in the lobby chatting and on their cell phones. My boyfriend informed the employees that we needed to check into our room. “AJ” at the front desk replied, “not here you are not, come back at 3pm.” Despite having pre-paid reservations, despite having tried to call the hotel the evening prior, “AJ” was adamant the cancellation was final due to our late arrival, and we would need to return at 3pm to make a new reservation. While I proceeded to talk to “AJ” about our reservation, the cancellation, the fact that it was the middle of the night, and we have two young children that need a place to sleep tonight. “AJ” kept saying " this is my job, your reservation was cancelled. There is nothing that I can do about it." Trying to explain that I attempted to call Motel 6, Carson multiple times to inform them of our late arrival and there was no answer or voicemail was also futile. While on chat with Expedia, they also tried calling Motel 6, Carson multiple times and the phones muted therefore the front desk would not answer the calls. After much deliberation with “AJ” to give the kids a place to sleep at 4am, he charged me an additional $129 to check into the room that we had already pre-paid for through Expedia. However, he then failed to give me the room number. My boyfriend went inside to inquire this information and “AJ” kicked him out of the lobby, again yelling, saying “He is helping us out and we should be thanking him.” All this is happening in front of our children and other customers with the same “late arrival” misfortune as us. To say this was an unprofessional interaction is an understatement, it felt like a shakedown. This place is after your money to cancel your reservation without providing the service required of them. “AJ” is a subpar employee with anger issues and zero customer service training. The next morning, I asked the front desk for the general manager’s name to resolve the issue and he was very hesitant to give it to me, instead he began reciting their late arrival policy. We tried multiple times to get in contact with their general manager Mac Hossain that week, just to be told he wasn’t there. We finally got hold of the general manager later in the week and he informed us that “AJ” could have “easily checked us in,” clearly, he chose not to. “AJ” could have easily saved us a 1.5-hour ordeal with two minor children at 4 in the morning. But “AJ” is more occupied being a gangster at 4AM than taking care of customers. Tread carefully at Motel 6, Carson. In the end, Expedia upgraded our hotel to the Double tree Hilton down the street, we had amazing customer service, and the staff went above and beyond the rest of our stay. 5 stars to the Double tree in Carson, CA. Motel...

The front part of the hotel was nice. Average. Clean, new paint, well lit. Then you cross to the back half and it is the complete opposite. I was disappointed. The contrast from the front and the back is unreal. How?! Why?! Poorly lit, dark and cold. Seriously, I couldn't believe the difference. The stairs, dirty, chipped paint. The hallway carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned for YEARS. It didn't feel bright and clean like the front half. And the smell. So many no smoking signs, yet no one there to enforce it. Which brings me to "security"...Only saw him once, in the front half of the hotel. Who's to blame him, it's dark and creepy and sketchy back there to say the least. Smelled like weed and smoke all the time. The room was meh. I didn't mind that the bathroom door didn't lock, the curtain was falling apart, that the tv frame was falling apart, the microwave and fridge combo was used and abused and the crazy loud a/c. It just didn't feel clean. And what's up with that orange towel holder thing? Seems like wasted space. The one right about the toilet would have done well enough. Things just felt like it was just thrown in there. I think poor design. But cleanliness was poor also. I liked what you tried to do with the laminate floors. But seriously, they need an update. Also, I checked in with 3 children. As a mother, I did not feel safe walking around that back half with my children. We often returned back late and had to park in the back half of the lot. Its dark, and the "security doors" were often kept open by a zip tie so it didn't lock properly. OH, and about the parking lot. I understand parking is first come first serve but you REALLY need to consider a special ruling for Semi's and oversized box trucks and buses. It was UNBELIEVABLE! They should be required to park in that back lot. Taking up 5 parking spaces?! It was so frustrating returning each night. BUT my favorite part about our stay was the shower. The water pressure was great and the hot water was amazing! And housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Thanks for that.I stayed because of the location and because other family members had a room there. The price was OK. But I would probably ask to stay at the front half of the bldg if I have to stay there again and if it weren't available, probably not at all. I think you should really consider updating that back bldg to the same level as the front bldg. Its very deceiving when...
