Center Harbor Inn — Hotel in Center Harbor

Quality all the way around. Pictures don't do it justice. The rooms and common areas are beautiful! Luxury cabin design and decor. Atmosphere is important to us when we stay somewhere and we chose this location because it was lake front and looked to be the "best option" in the area. However, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised! The property is beautiful and clean and the lake front beach (gorgeous), gas fire pit with Adirondack chairs and hot tub (large rectangular dark slate stone material) are VERY nice. The only issue we had was the hot tub and fire pit closed at 8pm during the week and 10pm on the weekend. We were there during the week and got back later in the evening. We would have really liked to have use of them later into the evening. That would be our only complaint. That should really be available until midnight every day. There is a very nice sauna, shower area and exercise room (2 treadmill mills and a stationary bike) right inside the door from the lake beach and hot tub area. We didn't use them but very nice to have so you don't drag sand to your room or just want to rinse off before sitting on the beach for a while after swimming. The beds are comfortable..have slept in some that were VERY comfortable and some that were horrible during our travels. These were comfortable leaning more toward very comfortable. There were 4 very nice pillows provided for each guest. Again, these things are very important to us. A good night's sleep is very important to feel good and enjoy yourself during your day. The continental breakfast is great! The bagels are nice and big New York style and there were a variety of flavors. There is a toaster, cream cheese, butter and jelly. There are muffins that look like they are from a bakery, cereals and a fridge full of drinks, yogurt and fruit cups. Loved the plastic bags provided to be able to bring items back for the rest of the family. Coffee is piping hot both mild and bold strength in the breakfast area as well as Starbucks Verona coffee in the room to brew any time. Nice touch! Thank you for providing such a quality experience! Center harbor inn was fine. However, when we got there on Sunday we arrived a little before 3. We were told there were no other rooms available. So we got stuck in room number 412 that had no view other than the parking lot unless you leaned over the railing then you could see the lake. We were first sent to the wrong room including an extra set of stairs with all our luggage above the office only to find out 412 is in the other building. We were told they had no control over the reservations and we had to speak with someone in reservations over the phone. They said they wouldn't change it. We saw that several other people checked in quite a while after we did and got much better rooms with better views of the lake. Which is unfortunate since we paid the same price for the same type of room. The young man in the front office when we checked in was very rude to us. The woman that was there at the same time was very nice and all other employees that worked there seemed also very nice and helpful. If you're thinking of staying there just know that levels 1 2 3 and 4, rooms 1 through 6 seem like they would be better than anything above room number 6 on any floor. Also the air conditioner blows directly onto the bed at all times, so it's pretty cold. If you turn it off or even down the room gets stiflingly hot. Enough of the bad, the grounds are beautiful, the lake is wonderful, and the use of their kayaks and paddle boats was wonderful. So for that reason it gets...

I had a great experience with my stay here. Booked through Rci. The accommodations were better than I could’ve imagined. Easy check in. The staff was kind and helpful the entire week. Beautiful views of the lake and sunrises right from the room. Even better views from the beach on premises. The rooms are very clean and the entire place is kept well. King size bed in our room. I am used to a full kitchens with Rci. The only thing that is provided is a mini fridge and a microwave. Not sure if the two bedrooms have a full kitchen. The outdoor hot tub is large enough for 16 people. Beautiful stonework around the hot tub and a great view of the lake. I suggest going in at night when you can see the stars. I didn’t realize there was free continental breakfast served daily between 8 to 10. Lots of great choices from cold cereals to eggs. You can eat in the breakfast area, or take back to your room. Plates and utensils are provided. Many different kinds of drinks are available in the cooler.

Other than the hot tub, there is a small workout room, sauna, and beach on premises. Each room has a coffee maker with coffee and tea provided. They also provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap. There is an ice machine downstairs for ice coffee or drinks. I would definitely recommend staying here. There are many more activities during the summer than winter. I basically used the week to relax. Overall great experience with Center Harbor Inn....
