I’m torn about this place. I feel the price was high for what we got. But there aren’t many options in this city. The other Wyndham property (Super 8) across the street had some bed bug issues so that’s why we paid 25% more to stay here instead. But we might take our chances at that hotel next time. Here are some of what we noticed:||- Staff was new and not properly trained. I saw maybe 5 different faces behind the desk during our stay and they really couldn’t answer my questions. The default response was no because otherwise they’d have to call the manager to ask, which they didn’t want to do.|- The sign at the front desk that says they have complimentary toiletries, but they didn’t. |- The rooms are renovated, but I think they just did a paint over because I could see the wood peeling placed despite a fresh coat of paint. Maybe carpet and AC replaced too. |- There was a dark discoloration between tiles in the bathroom. The phone wasn’t working. The sheets were clean but the mattresses were quite soiled and stained. Desk was old but the chair was new. |- Shower kept dripping water. |- The key card to the room never worked. You have to do multiple inserts hoping one will work. I asked front desk hoping they’d fix it but no luck. |-Front door to hotel doesn’t open sometimes (pro tip: you gotta hand tap the sensor on top if that happens). |- Late checkout not honored for rewards members despite the hotel not being busy or full. The reason was they didn’t know how to do it in the system and didn’t want to call the manager. |- Big muscular dog (pit bull like) was roaming and barking up and down the hall. Their Master was yelling for it to come back to the room. Almost soiled myself. |- They got a candy vending machine and washer and dryer down the hall with a soap vending machine. Did not try. |- For breakfast they had omelets, biscuits (no gravy), sausage patties, Prepackaged mini muffins, white bread, 2 types of cereal and strawberry yogurt. The milk comes from a gallon jug in the fridge and was expired during our entire stay. Coffee was very pale brown - almost tea colored and tasted like hot water. There’s no drinking water. Not even at breakfast. Their pancake machine wasn’t working. I had already put my batter in but the light never came on when I flipped it. I told the front desk but they never investigated it. And next day at breakfast the batter was still in the machine! Ack. They got oranges as fruit. But they...
Read moreI giving this place 2 stars for many reasons . 1 Star goes to Donna our cleaning lady she was very nice and helpful always on point , 2 nd star goes to Joyce the big manager . With that said let me tell you about my experience in the hotel when I first got there the staff at the front desk seemed pleasant but that all changed later . For 1 I had to change rooms 3 times first off I booked a room with a king bed and got a room with 2 queens then they moved me to a room with a king bed but at 5 am in the morning I was woke up to the Jacuzzi tub turning on and makid ing a horrible noise which I came to find out this tub has been doing that for awhile so I was moved again . I didn't mind the pool was small but during check out is when things went horrible , I booked my room threw expedia so my room was already paid for in full the young lady Ashley at the desk said she needed to see my card that supposedly it didn't go threw which was false . She charged my card for my cousins room which she had already paid for during check in , Ashley gave me an additude when I asked her why I was being charged for my cousins room and I asked her to put my money back on my card she was very hostile about it saying there is nothing she can do for me . I asked to speak with her manager Arthur which I had seen about an hr prior to check out she called him came back and said he was out of town which was a lie cause he was right up the street at another hotel , I seen the card on the desk for Joyce I asked to speak with her supposedly she could not be reach which was another lie . I said I was not leaving the hotel till things got fixed, so she went back behind the doors and made a phone call with an additude and then all of the sudden Arthur comes flying in parking lot mad slams on his breaks and stomps into the hotel not very professional at all . My cousin was trying to speak to him and he was giving her the silent treatment and his body language was very hostile. So I eventually found out where Joyce was so I was going to see her . My cousin called me and told me her card was now charge twice for the room she was in plus my card was charged means we paid for her room 3 times . Joyce got everything fixed . I will say this if you stay in the hotel make sure you pay cash at the desk and get a receipt. I will not be staying at the hotel ever again if the 2 people Ashley n Arthur are...
Read moreI came to central city Kentucky to work over night at the natural gas power plant. Best inn was booked (No Wonder) 🤯 So obviously Days Inn has it reputation, but this is beyond ridiculous. They have vending machines but don’t use them they will take your money and they won’t do anything to reimburse you. I tried to get a Mountain Dew and it fell to the bottom of the machine and the front desk lady told me that we can’t prove you tried to purchase anything and we have no key. I explained you can see that it fell to the bottom of the machine and I have a statement on my phone showing the purchase. I asked, so basically you just took my money and I get nothing back?! Said yes, the manager has this note right here saying we will not give refunds or comp anything for the vending machines. I know this isn’t an expensive place you get what you pay for but my god that is the least of their problems.. the rooms have next to no outlets, only one lamp is the back of the room in a corner, got a room with two beds and it’s super crowded. The pool is closed and it’s past Memorial Day. The sheet and pillow and bed are old and need to be replaced. Just look at the pictures and see it for yourself. I won’t ever come back her and can’t believe that a place of business where people come to stay and sleep and suppose to feel taken care of and comfortable. Instead I feel robbed and more comfortable sleeping in my work truck. So please don’t come here for this business to have kids come here to sleep and be this audaciously unclean unmanaged and highly neglected maintenance and comfort. Please don’t come here!! Oh and by the way the lady said there is a note on one of the machines I had to walk around the whole building to find this one machine with a note...
