I’m giving this hotel two stars just because there wasn’t a clear infestation of bugs, had there been, it would get a one star. Staff was mostly pleasant, but everything else left much to be desired. The pool was closed, which I understand happens, and the building seemed to be in a general state of disrepair. There was a smell of smoke and animal urine in the hallways, while the room smelled as though it had been doused in air freshener. The grout between the bathroom tile was cracking, there was obvious mold and paint peeling on the ceiling of the bathroom. The towels were hung on a hook as though they had previously been used, giving both my partner and I concern. The door to the bathroom showed clear signs of distress along the bottom, while the entry way to the room had frayed carpet. The clock face seemed to have been removed from the alarm clock on the bedside table, revealing a sticky mess that had obviously been collecting debris, while the fitted sheet was on the mattress inside out. There was also an unidentifiable stain on the bed and top sheet. Overall I did not feel like the room was clean, so much so that my partner and I left for another hotel 30 minutes away (others in the area had no rooms, and this one was fully booked - not that I was interested in trying another room). Things to note: I would not consider this hotel friendly to those with walking concerns or who use wheelchairs. There were no accessible rooms marked, and there is no elevator. That being said, I also wouldn’t recommend this hotel for women traveling alone, as there is only one staircase, and it is far from the front desk, and very obviously secluded, despite having a security camera in the stairwell I did not feel safe walking up and down it without my partner. There are also a lot of service techs that seemed to be at the building, making me clearly the odd one out as far as women went. The front desk never had anyone at it without ringing the bell, and the door behind the desk where employees emerged from was always shut. They have smoking and non-smoking rooms. There is a coin operated washer and dryer set on the second floor (not sure if they work).
Overall, if you have another option, I would take it. This hotel needs some serious rehab in what I would call general upkeep/cleaning. I get there is a labor shortage, but these issues aren’t all...
Read moreI checked in at this hotel due to my original booking was closed without notice. As I checked in the staff at this time was very nice and friendly. But within 30 minutes of check in my air conditioner was not working properly. So I went to the desk and asked for ahelp and the young girl Katie told me that how it is here some work and some don't what do want me to do about it. With a wise attitude!! So I asked for a different room she gave me a new key and I moved to the new room. Aside was unpacking I went to use the bathroom and found dried urine on the toilet seat so I went to use the shower and found bugs and used wash clothe in the tub as well as someone's hair on the shower wall. So I let my booking agency know what was going on. They said to let the hotel know what happened and I did. Spoke with Katie again this time she was even more rude then the first time and said it wasn't her job to check a room for a guest and that she would move me to a different room while making comments under her breath. So I left wyland went to a better and cleaner place. I have stayed at a lot of hotels in the us and have stayed at Super 8 in the past as well but this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Dont stay here do yourself and families a favor and go anywhere else even the curb is...
Read moreThis was the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in and if it hadn't been so late in the evening, I would have left. The first thing I noticed upon entering our room (217) was that the carpet was disgusting and needed a shampooer badly. I couldn't even walk around in my sock feet because i stuck to the carpet! The bathroom had no towels or hand-towels and only 1 washcloth so I walked downstairs to ask for some at the front desk. The lady working was nice and helpful but was too busy socializing with a man in the office to keep an eye on customers waiting at the check-in counter. I finally get my things and take them back up to the room and notice how terribly dirty the bathroom floors are too! The laundry area looked as though it had never been cleaned in the history of the buildings existence and never was tended to while I was there. To top it all off, there was what I can only assume was blood on the dresser where the television sat. It was absolutely horrendous! I've stayed in many nice super 8 hotels before and this particular establishment does not deliver my usual experience. I paid nearly $100 for 1 night of very uncomfortable accommodations. The best thing about the stay was the lady making breakfast the next morning. She was awesome! But overall a huge waste of money and time and my...
