I don't even know where to begin. This has been the absolute WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel EVER.
The shower floor was so slippery both my partner and I slipped and fell while in the shower. My partner was injured and nearly broke his head open due to slipping while in the shower. He was in extreme pain for several days and sustained miner cuts, bruises, and hypertension of the knee. We brought this to the attention of the hotel manager and she completely brushed the issue off even after we gave her several ways to resolve the issue. We were told that it's a Hilton (Corporate) issue and her hands were tied as to any way of resolving our complaint. Apparently we weren't the first people to even complain about this issue and they knew about it prior to our complaints. There was absolutely no grip on the shower floors which is extremely dangerous for any guest especially when using soap! There were also loose floor tiles which I cut my foot on and tripped over, we brought this to the hotel staff's attention and were told this room would no longer be used until these issues were fixed. We weren't ready to travel to our next destination and so we decided to book another night at the hotel dispite the issues mentioned above. We spoke to the front desk attendant as well as the front desk shift leader to confirm that we would like to stay a second night. On our 2nd evening at the hotel we showered to get ready to leave for dinner and two women walked into our room while we were still undressed! Apparently the front desk never renewed our reservation and booked the room we were in!!! The front desk attendant Josh immediately called our room to inform us that we had 10 minutes to remove our items from the room and evict the room due to it being booked by some other guests and having no other availability for us. He was extremely short with us even though we agreed to pack our items but that we weren't going to be out in the 10 minutes he was demanding. He then threatened to call the police on us if we weren't out within the 10 minutes. We packed out items and 4 dogs within about 30 minutes. Josh continued to threaten to call the cops until we left the property. We felt because we complained about the shower and tiles that we were targeted by this employee. I would never want someone to experience what we experienced! I really hope the owner or Hilton can change the management and remove Josh permanently from your staff. I have never been treated so rudely by someone in customer service. We raised this issue to Hilton and hope they take the steps to improve...
Read moreEDIT Stayed two more nights on my return trip and am happy to report a wonderful breakfast experience both days! Oatmeal is now available as it is at all other Hampton Inns. In addition, they offered different toppings each day. Also, they never once ran out of coffee, and it was also available both evenings we were there.
Dear manager... thank you for responding and for amending the situation so quickly. Really appreciated!
Original post below The rooms are super clean with comfy beds, no complaints. It's close to the airport with lots of culturally diverse restaurants nearby. Delicious! And the front desk personnel are friendly and helpful.
But the complimentary 24/7 coffee/tea and the breakfast are a completely different story!
They run out of hot water and decaf coffee in the evenings. This morning, we had to wait on coffee to brew three times! On a Thursday morning. Why they don't keep it brewing continuously in the mornings is beyond me. Today they ran out of yogurt, honey, and orange juice. When I went looking for someone to bring out more, two employees were just standing in a back room chatting. Any other Hampton Inn I've been to, during breakfast time there are one to two people scurrying around constantly refilling items.
Also, other Hampton Inns have oatmeal, bananas, hard boiled eggs, and cut fresh fruit available for breakfast. This one is heavy on bread, muffins, and waffles, with the only fruit being apples and Cuties. When asked about a fruit bowl, we were directed to go to the store across the street!
One evening, when they had run out of decaf coffee and hot water, I went to tell the front desk. No one was there. And I could hear two phones ringing, and a group came to check in while I was standing there. No employee was seen for several minutes. So I went to my room leaving the phones ringing and the new...
Read moreNot much sleep night because the hotel operator told me to wait in the wrong place. I got in around 10 PM and had to leave for the airport by 4:30 AM for a 7 AM cross-country flight. I called the hotel three times when the shuttle didn't show up as promised and the operator kept insisting I was in the right place. (Another couple from my tour group who were staying in a different hotel were quickly picked up from the location I was sent to by the operator.) ||Finally, I insisted on getting the phone number of the driver and learned that the operator had given the driver my phone number with the last digit incorrect. The driver claimed she tried to call me 3 times. I had to wait 40 minutes for a shuttle they promised in 10 minutes. Even after 10 PM at night, it is NOT a short drive to the hotel - it took about 20 minutes and then at the hotel I had to wait in a line to checkin, so there was very little time to sleep. ||The operator had mangled the last digit of my phone number, so I didn’t get three calls from the driver. The check-in clerk offered me a $50 discount and I took it even though the room still cost over $225 for one senior citizen. Fortunately the shuttle I needed to take back to the airport was full so they paid for an Uber who did a vastly better job on the return. ||The time to and from the airport was significantly longer than they claimed. Staying there cost me about $50 per hour in bed. Since I couldn't eat the included breakfast, they gave me a bag with one small orange and an everything-on-it bagel with a container of cream cheese. (I wasn't asked about my preferences, which certainly would not have been that kind of bagel - I'm a plain...
