I started drafting my review within 10 minutes of walking in my room to make sure I wasn't too busy to post it. I admittedly don't have a lot of experience in hotels in general but this one truly blew my mind away with how nice it was, considering it didn't cost hundreds of dollars per night and wasn't a resort or anything like that. The entire hotel was so very neat, sleek, clean, and modern! I had a one-bedroom studio and yet it was designed so well I didn't feel like it was cramped at all, and was just very homey and comfortable). They also somehow managed to put a kitchen in this small space, with sink, stove, dish soap, upper and lower cabinets, and multiple cooking and dining items like pans, measuring cup, plates, cups, and even some leftover, sealable containers! The fridge was bigger than a mini fridge and even had a freezer on top! Window curtain felf opaque enough (I've had an experience at Holiday Inn where the curtain felt too translucent and the opaque side curtains were "fake" so I clipped them together with a hanger đŹ) and there was also a blackout curtain. Bathroom was sleek and neat, with amazing lighting and also pleasing design. The glass shower wall built without a sliding door and long drain against the wall were pretty unique (I've never seen it before) but worked just fine, and honestly worked even better than other hotels I've stayed at with regular showers, where water somehow gets everywhere anyway. The closet was also neat, with an automatic light inside it. I will say however the bar to hang clothes is a little too high (was on my absolute tippy-toes and balancing trying to hang up a couple things we had. I'm 5'3" but still). The complimentary breakfast was also yummy, and at the time of this review it lasted until 10am, which is nice if you slept in a little (I'm used to them ending earlier from other hotels). We came down a little bit later so there may have been more items, but we saw scrambled eggs, regular and turkey sausage, bagels, oatmeal with a HUGE variety of toppings, several juice varieties, and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate station :) There was probably more but that's what we liked and went for. I'm just gonna praise even the smallest things but I also loved how the remote had very quiet buttons, so I didn't bother my husband as he slept while I messed with channels and volume. Stupid thing to like I know, but I loved literally everything at this hotel đ I wish all Towneplace Suites by Marriot were at this level, then I would actually search out this chain specifically next time I need accommodations! Don't mind the small mess as we deposited everything quickly because we got in late and were tired, the room was incredibly neat and clean when we got in đ Also don't mind how blurry most pics are, I took a video and the format doesn't allow me to upload video (despite Google saying I could đ) so I screenshotted from video. And in the daytime, the natural light even through the curtain...
Read moreDuring our recent stay at TownPlace Suites, we found the hotel to be in an excellent location- close to many businesses and offering a convenient hub for exploring the area. From the lobby to the eating area and the rooms themselves, everything was impressively clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable experience. One of the highlights of the stay was the exceptionally friendly staff. From the front desk to the food area attendant, housekeeping, and everyone we encountered, their warmth and hospitality stood out. The staff greeted us with smiles and cheerful "good mornings," creating an inviting atmosphere that made us feel genuinely welcome. Their attentiveness and positive energy elevated the experience in a way that truly set this stay apart. Another standout aspect was the complimentary breakfast. While it's still a hotel Free breakfast, TownPlace Suites exceeded expectations compared to other places we've stayed. They offered an impressive variety, including at least nine different toppings for oatmeal and three or more hot entrees each morning. One day featured a crustless swiss cheese and spinach quiche; another, French toast sticks, sausage, potatoes, eggs, and more. The spread also included a bagel and toast area, assorted muffins, cold cereals, juices, coffee, and tea. Beyond the selection, the food area was exceptionally clean and well-stocked at all times. It was clear that the staff took great care in maintaining it, and each morning there was someone consistently ensuring everything ran smoothly. The only downside of our stay was the automated lighting in the room. While modern, some aspects proved inconvenient. The closet light activated automatically upon opening, which was fine, but the motion-sensing light near the half mirror became frustrating. Since it had better lighting than the bathroom mirror, it was ideal for applying makeup, but unfortunately, it would shut off every one or two minutes unless movement was detected, requiring a step back and forward to turn it on again. A manual override option would be a thoughtful improvement. The bathroom lighting was another issue. While automation can be useful, its placement directly across from the bed meant that any activation during the night streamed light across the sleeping area. Even keeping the door shut didn't fully solve the problem, as the light would blast on immediately upon opening the door, illuminating the bed before it could be closed. Again, an override switch would make a big difference for guests who prefer more control over their lighting. Overall, TownPlace Suites offers a clean, comfortable stay in a great location with an impressive breakfast and an exceptionally welcoming staff. With a few adjustments to the automated lighting, it could be an even better experience for...
Read moreCame to this hotel for a wedding. We liked the look of the hotel on the outside and were considering it for our block. However, we were initially told they do not have a shuttle for our wedding, which was a requirement for us. After telling the Regional Manager that we would consider other options because of the shuttle. He said that they could use the shuttle from the nearby sister hotel and it would not be an issue, we decided to go with this hotel. Come to a few days before the wedding and I try to get a hold of the region manager, to verify everything is set up. After dodging all of my emails and messages for 2 days, I finally get a hold of him by having the front desk call him. During the call he said that we didn't have the shuttle reserved because it wasn't in our contract despite having a verbal agreement to the contrary. After telling him for a while that there was nothing he nor the hotel were willing to do, he eventually said the hotel would compensate our already free room. When I said that wasn't enough, he offered to look to solutions, and would call me back. He never called me back, he just said that to get me off the hotel. Horrible service, they lied to us to get us to use their hotel, and didn't even try to fix their mistake, when given the opportunity.
On top of the terrible management the hotel isn't even worth the price for the room. The beds, and pillow are super uncomfortable; we did not sleep well. All of the rooms have bathrooms with motion sensors for the lights, so if you roll in your sleep the bathroom light will turn on. The only benefits provided by this hotel is the kitchenette and full fridge provided in all rooms and that the breakfast that was better than most other hotels I stayed at.
The staff at the desk were amazing throughout the experience; very helpful. But the management of the hotel need to develop a sense of accountability when they lie...
