The first issue we had was the lack of breakfast. When we book a hotel, we do it with certain criteria, like breakfast included. We got there and were told that the breakfast room was out of commission. Then we had to fight them for a discount now that we were going to have to spend $15 a person for 5 people at the restaurant next door for 5 days. The pools that we were assured were heated that again were in our hotel criteria ... they were not heated. Ice cold water. Never got to use the pools the entirety of our stay. Towels were a chore to get. At one point I went down to the front desk to complain about something else, and a woman wanted to exchange her dirty towels... They told her they didn't have any more, that something was wrong with the washer? Or the laundry staff wasn't there? Wasn't really clear, but they seemed to offer her a single bath mat instead of the four towels? She took her dirty towels back. Also while I was down there, I heard the front desk person answer a phone call from a guest in their room who had just found out there was no breakfast after they had checked in. The first thing I noticed about the room was the filthy, disgusting floor. Gobs of hair, dirt, dust... Everywhere. We had gotten to our room late, so the next morning I went down to the front desk and let them know the floor was very dirty. I said, you don't need to clean the room, we don't need our beds made, we just need the floor washed. I also told them the tub was not draining. They said they would have maintenance come. We left for the day. Came back to them having touched all kinds of stuff in our room, having cleaned it, made the beds, etc. The drain in the tub was fixed, but the floors were still disgusting. I went back to the front desk, and showed them pictures of the first night, and of this morning. I showed a video of me taking a swipe of the floor with a washcloth to show them how black the floor was. Front desk person decided to argue with me how the floor was washed, but that the dust gets into the cracks? Something about using a machine? Idefk... But it was bs. The floor made my feet black, my socks black. I had to wash my feet walking from the bed to the bathroom. So he says, ok, I will make sure it is washed tomorrow. We stayed in the next day to make sure they didn't touch our stuff and that they actually washed the floors... A woman comes in with a stick with like 4 towels attached to the end. No bucket. Not any actual mop. She slids the towels across the entire floor, from toilet room, to vanity, through the bedroom, then into the other room with the "kitchen" area, by the other bed, to the front door... All with this one stick of towels, no rinsing the towels, no sweeping, no scrubbing, just sliding these dirty towels over the floor. I got back to the gobs of hair and the dirt and dust and point them out to her.. she acts like I'm crazy. She swipes at them, tells me she can't clean them and leaves. I take another washcloth and wash the floors myself from the front door to the bathroom so at least we have a walkway that won't ruin my socks or feet. Two pairs of my socks are completely stained forever after washing. The washcloth was black but I just didnt have the energy to go fight with the front desk person again. Water sounded like it ran down our walls all night or like our room was next to HVAC or something. Very loud constant white noise that drove us all crazy. The toilet ran off and on. The water pressure was HORRIBLE and the water temperature was incredibly finicky, going from ice cold to scalding. So you are wondering why I gave it 2 stars? The room was incredibly spacious. I never felt trapped in it. The beds were comfortable. The noise from the neighbors wasn't horrible. The elevator worked. The parking lot felt safe. I wouldn't stay here again, especially how I was treated like I was crazy for wanting clean floors by the front desk and the housekeeper.

The front desk lady was very helpful. We were already sketched out by the hotel area walking to our room. When we got to our door, the second we opened the room we got a good strong wiff of marijuana. It was lingering in the air terribly. We went to move our car closer to our room and in our area I could tell there was prostitution going on. Group of men standing outside / in their vehicle with women who were half naked. I didn’t feel safe. In my room, I could tell the room wasn’t cleaned properly. There was a couple of worm looking bugs on the floor and stains the dresser/table from some food or drink from the previous person. The toilet had blood on the front of it and also on the wall. We ignored most of this and gave it the benefit of the doubt. When I woke up from the first night to use the restroom, I found a big roach in the bathroom crawling around. I turned on the light around the rest of the room to check and low and behold I found way more roaches! I was absolutely disgusted and had to check out this morning. Definitely wouldn’t be staying here again, and do NOT recommend.

Worst worst experience! 1st room they put us in looked like it was rented out by the hour! Bed was un made and room was dirty! Pictures posted. The next room pics aftet we returned disquieted by the dirty room they put us in. second room sheets filthy bad energy pictures posted they had to bring us clean sheets! So disgusting smelled like drugs!!! I will NEVEr let me repeat NEVER stay here again! Don’t wast your time! There are far better places to go! Like the Marriot I would rather pay Nz extra 20.00 for a better location and better service!

WARNING! DO NOT STAY AT THE DAYS INN IN CHULA VISTA! THEY WILL KEEP YOUR $100 DEPOSIT AND CLAIM IT WAS BECAUSE OF A LATE CHECK-OUT! When I checked out of this hotel in July 2025, I asked when I would get the $100 deposit back that I put on my debit card. I was told it would take 3 to 4 business days. At that time, I was never told I would not get it back. At no time did they ever tell me that I would not get it back due to a late check-out because I did not check out late! After one week, the funds still had not been returned to my debit card so I called them to find out when I would get my money back. The clerk told me that in his notes it stated I didn’t check out until 2 p.m. so I would not get any deposit back. THIS WAS A FLAT-OUT LIE! If that was true, why couldn’t they have told me that when I asked about the deposit on the day i supposedly checked out late??? Why couldn’t they have told me then?? BECAUSE I DID NOT CHECK OUT AT 2 P.M. AS THEY CLAIM!! I called the front desk before 11 a.m. to request a late check-out of 11:30 or 12. I was told they do not allow late check-outs. I told them my mother is 92 and just needed a few extra minutes because she doesn’t move as quickly as she used to but they would not even take that into consideration!! But they finally and reluctantly gave me until 11:30. I know for a fact I checked out at 11:30 a.m., just 30 minutes past the check out time, because a friend of mine was staying in the room right next door and at 11:30, the maids were pushing us out of the room so my friend let us move all of our things into her room and wait there for our ride so the maids would stop harassing us. They were so strict about the check out time and basically kicked out my 92 year old mother and I at 11:30. Thank God my friend was staying right next door! If anything, I am guilty of checking out just 30 minutes past the check out time but being 30 minutes late is no reason to keep $100!! When you request a late check out at most other hotels, they give you until 11:30 or even 12 noon absolutely free! They don’t charge an additional $100 for it!! And nowhere in their billing policy does it state they have the right to keep your $100 deposit if you check out even just 30 minutes past check out time!! I told the clerk they had no right to keep my deposit and all he said was that I would not get it back because of a late check-out and if I had questions, I could email the manager. He then said “Good day” and hung up. DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY ARE SHADY AND WILL SAY WHATEVER THEY HAVE TO TO KEEP...

This has been the worst experience I've ever had at a Wyndham property. I travel frequently for work and normally like this chain because it's affordable and dependable. Not at this location. The rooms were relatively clean. There was hair on my toilet seat, long and short, and stains on the bedding and towels. The bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable amd the room reaked of some kind of cleaner. I had to leave the door and window open to let it air out for a couple of hours to even stand to be in there. Other than that, the room did seem to be pretty clean so I chose to look past those things. However, the pool and hot tub were absolutely disgusting. When I asked when the last time they were cleaned I was told by the manager that they were cleaned on Saturday. This was on a Monday. There were piles of dirt on the bottom of the pool and hot tub, and the hot tub had green water. They advertise that there is free breakfast and when I went down in the morning I was told that there wouldn't be any breakfast until "maybe sometime next week". After all of that, I canceled the remaining days of my stay and got a refund. While going back and forth with the manager about all of this he told me that if I wanted any additional information about the cleaning of the pool and hot tub I would have to call the police and they must request it. Are you serious? Call the police? There is no way this place would pass health code and I have contacted the health department and reported them. I wish I could attach pictures to this review to show how disgusting everything was. There are many other hotels on this strip within walking distance for the same price that are much better. I picked this one because it was a name I thought I could trust. I was completely wrong. Please, spend your...
