Sadly I have to give this place 1 star until they reverse new policies that are highly suspect to me. I've frequented this place since shortly after it spawned due to Palomar and the Village shutting down (those joints essentially re-opened as Seven Mile Casino). I'd say my trips here were fairly profitable, as I'd come up probably 2 of 3 trips (a conservative estimate). However, relatively recently the casino has implemented a policy where dealers do NOT cut the cards coming out of the shuffle machine and also go around essentially ensuring everyone has a player's card on the table. An employee walks around with an IPAD and asks you if you have a card and if you say no or you do but don't have it on you they insist you get one made.
So what? Well, of course I have no hard evidence of any foul play, but it seems quite fishy to me that around the same time they started sending employees around to check cards they also stopped cutting the decks coming out of the shuffler. Even if everything is running completely orthodox and fair, this leaves too much room to question their practices especially considering bad beats are part of the game, so why do that? Also considering "Palomar" and "The Village Casino" history, this is a practice might make one think this is a method to control chip counts and track players' frequency of attending. Or perhaps a way to pay "house players" from "regular joe's" stacks. For example, I have had a SOLID run of second best high hands ever since this started. I've always refused to put my player's card on the table as I'm not interested in being tracked and I hardly order food so I have no need for it. If I didn't know any better, I'd think I'm therefore being targeted to not have success as I'm not being tracked and somehow this is detrimental to their goals.
I'd say there's a low probability that the casino is manipulating the cards in the machines as mentioned. However, I am not naive and know that rigging the system as described is well within the realm of possible. Therefore, these are two things the casino should not do and I'm going to stick to the 5-10 NLH table at Oceans 11 or go to Barona during their prime times until I hear that this practice has changed (the non-cutting of the deck practice at a minimum).
Further, I'm not the only one that feels this way and have heard people discussing this at Oceans 11 that have stated they too are no longer going to Seven Mile Casino. I hope things change as I liked it here for multiple...

I called ahead to Seven Mile casino before heading there for my first time. I called for the express purpose of seeing how long the wait was. They informed me that it would be 45 minutes. I asked them if I could get put on the waiting list over the phone or if I had to be in person. She said that typically it has to be in person and then asked me if I'm from out of town. I informed her that I live in Ocean Beach which is about 30 minutes away and I wasn't interested and heading down there to wait another hour upon arrival
She asked me for my name and said that she would put me on the list this time and that once I got there she would get me set up on their app so that I could reserve ahead of time on my own in the future. This is not a request I made, it was offered by the rep on the phone all on her own.
Upon arriving at Seven Mile Casino I was told that the wait was now an hour and they do not take call-aheads. Despite having a recording of the entire phone call (I record all of my phone calls) they would not stand by what they told me originally. They flat-out lied to me in order to get me to come down here thinking that I'd be pot committed with my time. I will never come back here ever again and it's unfortunate because it looks like a nice room.
Doing what you say is basic customer service. Stay away from anyplace that struggles with this concept as Seven Mile...
