Freedom Apartments — Hotel in City of Albany

The Freedom Apartements at U Albany are probably one of the most underrated apartments at U Albany. Usually there are two rooms with two beds/roommates or there will be three bedrooms with two rooms having roommates and one single. The rooms on freedom are about the same as rooms on the quads. The kitchen is a little smalll but has everything you would need (fullsize refrigerator with a freezer, oven, stove top, and plenty of cabinets). While the difference in price may not be worth it for you, and it is a bit father from campus, it was more secluded and personal feeling. Busses run regularly every 10-30 minutes all day. Not a bad walk in the fall and spring. Staff will do any repair requests within a day or two. Definitely not comparable to Empire Commons in terms of renovations and quality.

If you're an incoming student, I would not recommend living here. You're better off getting a deal downtown. There are roaches, the people you get housed with are absolute nightmares.
