I brought my service animal into this store. The staff asked me if my dog was a service animal. I responded yes. They asked me if I had a certificate for her. I replied no. They then followed me around and stared at me until I was uncomfortable enough to leave. They said things to one another such as âwe are keeping an eye on them.â. I have shopped here for years and will no longer return, which will probably make them happy as they clearly donât want people with disabilities to shop in their store. They should refer to ADA guidelines for how they should handle service animals instead of making someone with disabilities feel unwelcome. ADA guidelines for what is allowed to be asked: â1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? However, I was very disappointed today when I was refused the box that comes with these ornaments due to them being âout of stockâ. Yet, I could clearly see them fully stocked behind the counter with a sign that said âto not distribute these with ornaments that are on saleâ. Very strange and poor etiquette by the shop to do this. These ornaments and their boxes are nostalgic, and the box is not only exciting when opening as a gift, but are used to store the ornaments year to year. Went to get my phone to look at hours , a woman came over and slapped a note on the door saying âopens at 12â. No apology, no smile, seemed extremely annoyed and stormed off.
