Before I start I would like to thank Angela at the front desk for helping us to make a modification at the last minute to one of the rooms we booked, we greatly appreciated your assistance. Overall the stay was good but there are definitely a few areas that could use improvement. We booked four rooms from July 4-6 checking out on the 7th. While there the elevators were not working consistently which is an issue when trying to get luggage or strollers up and down three floors. For the most part only one elevator was working and even that didn't seem to work all of the time and it was super slow! Housekeeping for my room specifically was interesting. The first day we had been out and about and returned to the hotel around 4 pm, the housekeeping staff was only just starting to clean our room so we couldn't clean up and change or anything before heading out again to meet up for dinner. That same day they "ran out" of clean sheets and duvets so didn't change the bedding. Not a huge deal since we were staying another night. The next day the housekeeper only half made the bed. The pillows were left piled in a chair and the clean pillowcases were left sitting on top of the cabinet/table. Most days the staff only changed out one or two of the towels but not all of them which was more puzzling than anything as we don't mind reusing our towels. The biggest disappointment was the dining room service on Saturday evening. We were a party of 7, so kind of large and another group of the same size was seated just before us, however the rest of the dining room wasn't overly busy yet. The waitress was fairly new and should not have been left on her own! It took her over 30 minutes just to come over and ask what we wanted to drink. It was over an hour before she took our food order, we ended up going to the bar to get our own drinks, including water since we only saw her briefly and our drinks were empty. We finally got some bread after an hour of sitting there waiting. All while the other table was served their drinks, appetizers and meal. When we finally got our food, my son's meal was completely incorrect. My husband had to send his salad back to be remade to remove the blue cheese he specifically asked not be added due to an allergy. The grilled peaches on my mother-in-laws grilled peach salad looked more like anchovies than peaches. We aren't sure what they actually were. We didn't get up and leave because my elderly father-in-law was not up to walking down the street to someplace else. We were completely disappointed in the service. They did end up taking 50% off our bill which we appreciated. My husband left a very small tip with a note that stated had the service been better the tip would have been better. (The waitress later came in to the bar where my daughter was and gave her a hard time about it.) The service at the bar was very good, we had dinner in there the first night we were there and the service and food was very good. The bartender who served us, Brian, was great. Brian also apologized to us following our dining room fiasco and asked how they could improve the service. We greatly appreciated his taking the time to listen - I was quite frustrated and vented to him a little bit but he took it in stride and I felt better afterwards and appreciated him stopping by to chat. I also want to note that even though there were two fairly large events on Friday and Saturday the room area was pretty darn quiet which we appreciate. In the end we would stay here again as the location is wonderful and the good out weighed the not so good stuff. Hopefully, management will work on the not...

From the initial contact, I was thoroughly pleased. Upon arriving at the hotel, I informed the front desk attendant, I believe his name was Anold, rather covertly that I struggle with bed wetting And that I had brought the necessary supplies to mitigate this issue. However, I wanted to make sure that he knew that I had this issue and it was not intentional if there was an accident at night, and there may have been leakage. Anold was extremely kind and empathetic - making me feel a sense of assuredness that everything would be OK and that I had nothing to worry about and to just enjoy my stay.
This was EVERYTHING to me!
Additionally, I was in Corning New York for a golf tournament. And I was not going to get my polo shirt in time in New York City so I had it sent to the hotel. Unfortunately, Amazon did not get the shirt to me in time for me to wear it at the tournament, however, when I returned to the hotel for an additional night, I’ll be at unintentional because of a second place finish and celebrations after lol, I was greeted by the front desk staff with joy and happiness! They said, “you must be Michael!” I didn’t even say my name… Lol
The front desk staff then proceeded to tell me how they fancied bringing the shirt to the golf course for me, but we’re worried about interrupting the play of the game. I found this to be extremely genuine and welcoming and just amazing! This is the kind of person I am and this is the kind of people I want to be around.
This is the kind of hotel I want to stay at.
Accepting. Accommodating. Understanding. Empathetic. Genuine. Kind. Caring. Welcoming.
I am extremely excited for next year‘s tournament at the Corning country club, not only so I have another chance to take home the gold – second was OK but I’d rather have first lol – But truly because I look forward to staying at the Radisson/Hilton Doubletree in Corning on Denison Pkwy E!
Please extend my deepest gratitude and thanks to the entire staff for making my stay as FABULOUS as the colors on that polo that they held for me...

I knew this from the moment I stepped near the elevator and saw cobwebs in the corner of the ceiling with several spiders. I then stepped in the dank elevator to see the carpet was extremely worn out and dirty. In my room, there was a large stain on the floor near the coffee pot area. In the bathroom there was a steady flow of water coming from the tub faucet. Since it was so late, I shut the door to the bathroom so I could sleep. I did tell the staff the following morning, and maintenance came to the room immediately. The leak was much improved but it was still leaking. The vanity in the bathroom is worn, and has many dings and scratches. I found two tiny spiders in the tub the next morning. Be forewarned that breakfast is not included unless you book at a certain level. There was no hot water at 9:30 pm when I took my shower, it was basically warm but more on the cooler side. Same issue the following night. Be sure to read all the notices in the room because there is no room service unless you tell the front desk by 9:00 pm the previous evening. (That was my bad since I did not read the notices). I believe in tipping service people anyway, so I left $5 each night for them. I will not stay here again. I've traveled a lot in past years, and I've stayed at all different levels of hotels.... this was extremely disappointing and dirty, don't waste your money. I spent $494 for a two...
