I had a box to ship that I already had a label for. So called them 10 minutes prior to when I'd be showing up which was 6:31pm (1 minute after they closed) and told them "I'm cutting it very close as far as when I'll be getting there. I might be a minute or 2 late but I'll send you the label now so all you have to do when I get there is just take the box and that's it, put the label on it I already sent you and bam, good to go." They said, "okay." so that's what I did. Well when I got there, which again was 6:31pm, they had locked the doors and refused me, while i have this giant box in my hands. I told them I was going to be minute or so late, and what I was implying, which they absolutely knew, was could you stay open for another minute or 2 so I can give you this box. They told me yes and then when I get there im outside in the rain looking like a fool. This place is the worst, have the laziest employees that obviously care nothing about servicing the customer and in fact, will lie to a customer just to get them off the phone because of how lazy they are. It's a disgrace and whoever was working the closing shift at the UPS store in Corning, NY on 02/27/2024 should be fired. They could've told me, "No, don't show up if you're gonna be even one minute late!" But no, they say "okay" make me drive there, which I live in Lindley, waste my time and money, and then to stare at me when I get there, ONE MINUTE after they closed, which I'm sure they're just going home to do nothing anyways, and tell me, "We're closed". It's an absolute disgrace and not only should those employers be fired but the manager who hired those people should, at the very least, be reprimanded for hiring people that aren't dedicated to helping customers, especially if they call previous and tell them they're gonna be late. Thats the whole reason UPS is a business, to help people ship stuff and they can't even do that right! I wasn't asking em to stay around for.another hour to help me, I was literally 1 minute after 630pm and they couldn't help me when they told me they would. That's trash and those employees are trash, and they should be ashamed of themselves and UPS should think about the kinda people they want representing their business and if its the kind of people that lie and appease to then. completely disregard what they told you because theyre lazy and "wanna go home after such a hard day of work", then i want nothing to do with UPS and will ship everything thru the USPS, which i am an online seller so am constantly shipping things, but will not thru UPS. The USPS has stayed open for me before when I asked them. I just didn't think from USPS to UPS was THIS big of a step down but I guess it is... My customer was expecting this package, i paid $100 to ship this box and cant even get them to stay open 1 minute after they are "supposed" to close!! Will not use UPS without some apology and some gesture to show me they're sorry, especially when im spending that kind of money with them. Absolutely ridiculous, im disgusted and UPS needs to start looking deeper into the help they're hiring because the help they have in Corning, at least on this night, ain't much help at all, in fact they're no help, they are actually hurting, not helping. Good job UPS, way to go...smh....gross!!! If I could go negative stars I would cause im very upset right...
Read moreWell for starters I have had several packages come through this location and every time I always end up with a damaged package and item let alone I am allergic to dogs and they let people bring their dogs in and go behind the counter. The management here is horrible. And that should say something giving the fact I used to work for UPS. They also like to harass my fiancé when she was just sitting in a corner our days been very stressful and yet the owner had to come and harass my fiancé and accuse her of sleeping when all she was doing was laying down. Like I really want to talk to the managers boss here because there's a right and wrong way to go about things and the way this manager acted should honestly get a write up or something. She only confronts my fiancé but not everyone else that likes to congregate in the entrance facing where the busses typically line up. If something isn't done to reprimand her for not using manners or using good positive work etiquette. I was a cashier and had very ignorant people come in to my line of business and honestly if I responded to any customer or just normal pedestrian like she did. I'd been either suspended or worse fired because now a days the customer is always "right" and if no course of punishment or reprimanding is done I'm taking it to the next step I have ups corporate on speed dial and investigations will be conducted. I also was informed that they are very disrespectful towards anyone. Like I know it's because the manager doesn't know what it's like to walk in my shoes and deal with the lifestyle life has thrown at me and the consequences to my poor decisions. And honestly all the workers in there constantly cramming their faces full and always on their phones. The manager literally sits on the computer and use it for her own personal use instead of doing her job. The manager kicked my fiancé out and proceeded to call the cops on me. And like all I was doing is protecting my fiancé as any male should do that especially if u been properly raised and the manager has no respect and wants to yell at people in the side entrance sitting in a corner minding their own business. It just seems like they like to start problems for no reason. Almost like they get a thrill off harassing homeless people getting help through DSS. And honestly as long as I'm alive I absolutely will get my packages elsewhere. I'd rather go somewhere that's warm and welcoming and that isn't going to harass people for sitting in the corner telling them that supposedly when your not near a door that it is a fire hazard. Which clearly it's not like some people should just leave their drama starting selfs clear of other people especially if u cant be even remotely responsible and respectful like she has extremely poor customer service attitude. And runs the younger girls and guys like pack mules. Instead of actually doing her job and leading by example. Instead of letting them do...

I decided to give this store a second chance and am now posting a second negative review -this one even more negative than my prior. I mailed a package from this location and purchased insurance. The item was damaged and, after some back and forth –as well as one missed visit, the receiver was able to return the package to UPS. As weeks dragged on, I contacted the person who handles claims/problems at the Corning store, Joyce, multiple times and was politely rebuffed and told that I needed to wait for a few weeks. After more than two weeks passed, I emailed again and left a phone message but received no reply. After more than another week had passed, I decided to contact someone at UPS corporate who told me that the claim had been resolved more than two weeks earlier, prior to my unanswered inquiries. When I called the UPS store in Corning, I was told that Joyce, the person who handles claims, does not keep records in a manner that could be checked and that she should have contacted me and/or sent a check if it was resolved. I was furthermore told that it was possible that it had “slipped through the cracks” and that I needed to call back on one of the days when that specific individual was at that location. The people at this store are very polite and friendly but there is no accountability and no effort to provide basic costumer service. For the second time I have lost both time and money by visiting this store. If they continue to not respond I will go to small claims court.
An employee in training mislabeled three packages that I was sending out. After the issue was discovered, the employees at the store failed to get new tracking numbers despite my multiple requests. Due to the delay and lack of tracking info I was forced to make a refund at a customer's requests for items which I had not yet received cleared payments for. At no point did the employees of this store offer to refund me for the costs of shipping nor did they make any contact with me to inform me of status despite having my information. Assuming that I eventually receive my packages I will have wasted more than $60 on shipping costs, credit processing fees and...
