General Manager Steve Does Not Take Legitimate Concern's and Issue's from Patron's staying at this Motel 6 in Claremont, California on Indian Hill Blvd when those Issue's and Concern's are brought to his Staff or to his attention directly as they occur.
In one Issue or Problem the Loudest Ear Piercing Fire Alarm goes off at 5a and a Mother and her 3 Duaghter's had to try and sleep through the LOUD EAR PIERCING fire alarm after the fire alarm was reported to the night manager at 5a, and again Later in the morning when No One had come to Check on the Fire Alarm, it wasn't until 3p or 4p when a Maintenance Man, finally, to check on the fire alarm.
The General Manager made lite of the Incident by turning it on the Mother and asking "Would You Rather have the Mother and 3 Younger Daughter's Die from Smoke Inhalation or Fire?" No!!! They expect to have a Restful and Uniterrupted Sleep without being Awaken by a LOUD PIERCING FIRE ALARM!!
Then, there is the Problem when the Mother and Her 3 Young Daughter's first Check-In to their room from out of the Scorching Sun and Heat, the Mother who has Stayed at this Motel Several long visits before gets into her room and tries to turn on the Air Conditioner to get some Much needed break from the Heat only to Discover that the Air Conditioner is Not turning on, so now the Mother and her 3 younger Daughter's are having to Wait for the Maintenance Man to turn the Air Conditioner On.
Or,when the Motel Staff Can Not locate the Mother's Reservation when a Reservation had been Booked and Paid for, and Confirmed with a phone ca to the Night Manager immediately after the Reservation had been made, the Night Manager had No Problem locating the Reservation, but apparently it Did Not Stop the front desk from locking out the Mother and 3 Young Daughter's had come back for the day with a pizza in hand, Only to Discover that the Key Card was Not Working, because the Day Staff Could Not Find the Same Reservation in the Mother's name that the Night Manager was able to find and acknowledge at 0100a.

Read moreI booked this motel due to its location & price. My destination was Claremont & wished to stay in the neighborhood & was unfamiliar with this area of LA. I looked at the star ratings on various booking sites & it appeared that this was a "good" motel at a price I could afford and anything rated higher in Claremont was over twice as expensive. Having had experience with Motel 6 in the past, I always swore I would never stay in one but this was a spur of the moment trip, the ratings were decent & the cost was high for a Motel 6. On arrival, it appeared much older than the online photo & poorly maintained. Unbeknownst to us, the motel was hosting a German Shepherd dog show & its contestants. The desk clerk explained that there were barking German Shepherds the previous night & he did his best to place us in a quieter area at the rear of the motel. The sidewalk in front of this side was littered with cheetos & cigarette butts & the door did not appear secure. On entering, the odor of disinfectant mixed with dog & cigarette odors was overwhelming & made it difficult to breathe. The mattresses were hard & thin. There was one bar of soap & the furnishings beyond spartan. The flooring was linoleum however given the clientele it is probably a good thing. After depositing our bags we left to obtain dinner, however my very un-picky husband stated he could not possibly sleep on those beds & I began sneezing & felt like I had inhaled pet hair. Ultimately we found we had to travel to Ontario to find a decent room. At the Quality Inn we were provided a beautiful, well appointed room with all the expected amenities, in-room coffee, free breakfast, in-lobby beverages, a pool and an exercise room; all for the same cost as your Motel 6 room with none of the above. We returned to the Motel 6 & explained to the desk clerk that we would be unable to stay due to conditions in the room & the inability to even breathe. We were told that our money could not be refunded as we would have had to check out within 5-10 minutes of arrival to get a refund. I explained we needed to secure another room prior to cancelling but he declined & said "Ive been turning people away" which indicated to me that he would have no problem renting the room. I hope you understand my issues & I will continue my effort to get a refund. I cannot in good conscience recommend this motel & highly doubt any of your corporate individuals have ever, or would...
Read moreConfirmed remodeled room & reservations several times, but put in an very outdated rooms w/old furnishings, 1960's broken lamps plugged into outlets that had burn marks, VERY dim lighting, I had to go buy $60 worth of lamps for our 2 rooms, no where to plug in electronics, pulled out 2 feet of hair from tub drain when I went to take a bath, (none of which I complained about!) final straw - so many roaches in rooms & all over property & in parking lot!!!! Various types of roaches, from small to HUGE 2"+inches!! This I finally complained about!! When I told Frankie & GM Steve about problems I was told I could leave if not happy & given runaround for 7+hrs. by them until I called guest relations. Then was told I would be given gifts certificates for 2 nights at another location. Given it was Father's Day weekend & last minute I couldn't find new reservations & was also exhausted from just moving in & buying stuff to make rooms work. Feel I was treated very unprofessionally & disrespectfully. My Mom is 70 and I am permanently disabled, which makes their treatment of us even worse, but no considerate guest should be treated so poorly! I finally broke down in tears from stress & exhaustion & fear of going back to rooms with roaches in bed & on floors & then GM Steve finally found new rooms. We still had 2 giant roaches come into each of the new rooms, but significant improvement , however, new rooms BOTH tubs backed up so we couldn't bathe ! Then fridge was broken lost $25 in food & Next day 1 toilet backed up & I had to plunge! They didn't offer to help me move our things to new rooms until corporate spoke to them & then despite being told by GM Steve they would assist me, I was given attitude when I finally asked for assistance. I had been up 2 days, could barely walk, but tried to move our things by myself until I was just ready to drop. When I asked Roy to please send the help he gave me attitude again & again!. Also, told me my reservations were cancelled when in fact they had not been. I feel like he was just being a jerk or trying to get us to leave. Given we are in the middle of selling & buying properties & traveling with pets this Is very troubling & stressful. **Housekeeping is impeccable, particularly given state of the rooms!! Also, Pete at front desk is born to work in hospitality. Informed me all about motel & also gave me tips about the surrounding area etc. He should...
