What started out to be a great vacation ended in Heartbreak.
When my cousin, best friend and I decided to do a girls weekend there were no other reviews of Car thefts or Break ins 2 months ago when I booked the hotel.
Monday Morning, (Nov 20) I was just about ready to load my car When my cousin noticed the Rear passenger window had been busted in. There was glass everywhere, My entire steering column destroyed, the starter to the ignition dislodged and My little bit of loose change and car essentials had been gone thru.
Traveling with all females, we do what we should. Park close to the door, or under a well lit area. Never travel alone Etc.. none of this mattered as we parked directly in front of the back entrance.
I am devastated, to now find out that there is a recent track record of break ins and that the Hotel does NOT have surveillance.
It shouldn't even take 1 time. I am not sure how no one that had been in any of the rooms that are on the ground and/or second level didn't hear anything at all.
Do not leave anything in your car!!! Who ever is doing this is targeting Hyundai and I believe Kia's. as there is a tiktok video circulating on how to break in.
Essentially the loser that did this just wanted the car. Nothing was stolen thankfully because they were too stupid to finish the Job.
In terms of a review for the hotel itself.. It was MEH. one of the Beds in the room was broken, I asked the concierge to change rooms but the Hotel was fully booked because of a football game. The common are could have been cleaner and I wouldn't eat the breakfast. I asked for extra pillow(s) and I got 1. I stripped all the bedding before putting my belongings down to check for Bedbugs.I was very surprised to see there were no Mattress protectors.
I will say this, Given the situation, the manager was Absolutely fantastic and helpful in the situation, I wish him all the very best! The two officers were also very lovely.

I missed my flight back home, so while I was in the airport I booked a room here because it was reasonably priced and so close to the airport. I called at around 11:00 a. m. to explain my situation and ask when I could check in at the earliest, the woman who took my call was nice and polite, she told me that I may be able to check in at 1:30 p. m., So I showed up at 1:30 p. m. and explained to the older lady at the front desk my situation, that I had called earlier to ask when I could check in, that I had been told that possibly at 1:30 and that's why I was there. She had an attitude, looked at me like I was trying to take advantage of her or something like that, and told me in an "I don't believe you" tone, "well, I have been here all day and I don't remember talking to you". In the end, they let me check in. The room looked clean but the security latch on the door was broken, so when I opened the door, it didn't close completely because a broken piece of the latch hanged between the door and the door frame, but it wasn't obvious, so I didn't notice when I first came inside the room. A few minutes later, while I was in the bathroom, a member of the cleaning staff came in the room, and yelled at me "YOU NEED TO LOCK YOUR DOOR, SIR", without even apologizing for violating my privacy. When I checked out the next morning, I found a bedbug in the sheets, I killed it, put it in a piece of tissue, and gave it to the older lady at the front desk. She said she'd call Ecolab but that does nothing for me now, I have at least 6 bedbug bites all over my body, see pics. Read moreOmg here do I start. I booked this property through booking and I thought I was getting a nice hotel as I’ve stayed at many Laquinta Properties. I got to the hotel, checked in and the room was filthy. There was dirt all over the bathroom floor and floor by the door when you entered. Everything was dusty and dirty. Really made me concerned because of Covid and you should clearly be cleaning more now than ever before. I would not recommend this property unless you are low on funds and need to be close to the airport. I was even trying to save money, I was tricked by reviews. The staff is ok, Jane was really nice. I believe that’s her name but maybe you should wait until Covid is over before you decide to book here. I don’t need top of the line, I just need clean. I urge this property to hire more house keepers or a cleaning company to come in and thoroughly clean the property. Housekeeping is key to the business continuing to run. Maybe you should consider hire people that are trainable versus those with experience. I would rather train someone to my expectations. There should be someone checking behind your housekeepers to ensure all cleaning expectations are met. There was so many things wrong here. I will never stay at this property again. A message to corporate, put money back into your properties, the floors are shifting, the door to my room wasn’t the correct side, I could see right through the side of the door, smoke detector was hanging off the ceiling, there was a hair scrunch under the sink ( wasn’t mine) the floor was full of dirt, dusty, fixtures not clean, blinds In the room need to be replaced and the list goes on.
