The value was great because we got a free Shuttle to the airport and the room was affordable. However, I have several serious concerns.
Upon arrival, 2 out of the 3 rooms for those in our party had issues with their the TV's. After maintenance fixed it, one of the TV's messed up again. The door for one room was stuck shut and wouldn't lock properly meaning anyone could open it even without a keycard.
We had a wheelchair user and when trying to use the elevator, we had severe issues. The elevator worked, but when it arrived at the floor we were trying to get off of, the elevator stopped short and did not rise up to be even with the floor. This left about a 4 inch gap so the electric wheelchair couldn't get over... it was very hard to get in and out of the elevator because of this. They needed assistance every time and someone had to help lift the chair out of the elevator. It wasn't very safe or practical, especially since the doors shut so fast. Maintenance was called to fix this also, but it never resolved the problem. Not safe at all!
We also had an issue where one of the rooms for someone in our party didn't get access to their room until way after check in because the front desk said it "wasn't ready" despite check in being at 4.
Cleaners need to do better as well.... all the general shared spaces were clean, but the rooms not so much. We found a dirty sock, panty liner sticker from swimwear stuck to the floor, and someone's used tweezers on the floor as well.
The pool chemicals are not measured appropriately, either, because our children required eyedrops from red burning eyes after getting in. Too much chlorine caused my son to get hives/a raised rash all over from chemical burns. My daughter ended up with a uti after using the pool as well, I'm assuming because it was not cleaned properly and the chemicals aren't measured correctly making the water way too harsh. All the kids had to get out, shower, take benadryl, and receive medicated eye drops after using the pool. The hot tub, which is one reason we specifically booked this place so the adults could relax while the kids seem, was closed and roped off with caution tape.
While not a major inconvenience, the "restaraunt" had 5 items to choose from at the bar and wasn't upended until later after check in. We ended up going to Dennys next door instead. Still upsetting since this was another selling point that helped us choose this hotel specifically (wheelchair user had hard time getting next door due to lack of plowing and salting. The snow and ice build up made it hard to navigate the parking lot to get to the car in the wheelchair).
I really like this hotels location to the Airport and price point, but the cleanliness, safety issues, and overall lack of general maintenance and delivery of services was not up to my...
Read morePlease beware of parking your vehicle at this hotel. I purchased a Parking Pass to leave my vehicle in their lot while I went on a study abroad opportunity with my school from Mar.20th-Mar.29th coming back to my vehicle completely immobilized. Someone broke in and destroyed the ignition column attempting to steal it. Just two parking spots down from me someone’s window was shattered and there vehicle taken right out of the lot. Right way parking , Air Garage Parking, and Wyndham Hotel have no security or cameras on the premises to avoid the amount of vandalism occurring to all these different people. The general manager was very hesitant on watching tapes, and said it was so common for break ins but there was nothing they could do. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE I GENUINELY MEAN WHEN I SAY IT IS NOT SAFE AT ALL!
Update:
It has been about 2 months since my incident at the hotel. I wanted to remind and warn everyone to be weary of leaving your vehicle at this hotel. Please spend the extra 25$ to part in a gated/ patrolled area closer to the airport. I noticed Rightway parking (an affiliate who owns the lot with Wyndham hotels) is offering a discounted rate for the summer this past week. (DONT BE TEMPTED) Its not worth the possibility of a $1,000 plus repair cost— or even worse— a missing car. In my case my car has since been fixed, the Cleveland city police were extremely helpful and assuring that it is far too common they get calls for vehicle vandalism and damage at this specific hotel Wyndham Cleveland Airport. I was told It is unbelievable the amount of reports they get from tourist/ locals at this location.
Also, don't let the oblivious men and woman working the lot at night fool you for security. They are helpless, untrained, and minimally paid. They are more concerned about giving parking violations/ tickets. With lack of attention to what truly matters, the amount of criminal behavior in the area. Reminder!!! DO NOT PARK HERE! ITS NOT SAFE
7/9/25 UPDATE: I noticed that they are still offering discounted rates for customers to park / stay at this hotel, please beware. Read the reviews, I see it has been a little over a year and people are still having the same...
Read moreFront desk didn't seem to be interested in greeting guests, or much less talking to them. Check-in was quick, and getting into the room was fine, until the maintenance guy three rooms over was banging so hard on SOMETHING that it could be felt in the floor. Front desk did not mention this at all upon check in, that maintenance would be, well, performing maintenance LIKE THAT.
Fast forward a few hours, we leave and come back; my spouse needed the restroom (it was about 9:30-9:45 PM on a Friday); the same front desk clerk from before seemed confused that someone would be needing a restroom, and gestured vaguely toward the bathrooms of the in-house restaurant, clearly closed. We kind of shrugged and followed her lead. Sure enough, bathrooms for the restaurant were closed; bear in mind, on our way back to our rooms (frustrated) we noticed two bathrooms just around the corner from front desk, which she never even indicated existed. So that was... interesting, to say the least.
Finally, upon our return to our room, we decided to turn the TV on to wind down. TV didn't work. Went to call front desk from the room phone, but the room phone has no indicating buttons of HOW to get in contact with the front desk from inside the hotel, nor are there any documents listing a phone number to contact for in-hotel customer service. I called on my cell phone, at this point frustrated; front desk girl from before answers. I explain the situation, how not only does the phone not have any stickers or explanation of how to contact front desk, but that the TV wasn't working. I requested maintenance. I got a scoff and an irritated "can't you just, like, wait until tomorrow?"
HUH?
Requested to speak with a manager. Apparently, no night manager, and no night maintenance at this location. Finally they moved our rooms, and the room we were moved to had a functioning television, but still, phones have no button stickers/markers/etc. and there is no in-room documentation explaining how to order room service, what amenities exist, how to connect...
