The automated system they use for processing orders is very annoying. It always wants to sell these expensive upgrades that are very overpriced. They also want to push you to subscribe to a monthly membership deal.
On my most recent visit, the touch screen interface was so insensitive that I thought it was deliberately calibrated to fail to register touches on the "no" button, and I had to try repeatedly and press very firmly in order to get past that point and complete my order. The hard sell is really turning me off.
The owner's response says that the order system asks you "one" time if you want any upgrades, but that's not true. It always asks you if you want to join as a monthly subscriber: that's one upsell. Then it asks you several times throughout the ordering process if you want to upgrade. First it asks if you want a Basic wash or a higher tier. Then it asks you if you want to add any additional extras to the Basic wash. This is an a la carte way to select one or more features offered in the higher tier bundles: upsell #2. I'm pretty sure it asks one more time after that, because after all you might not be sure when you said "no" the other two times.
If you do go for the extras they cost so much it'd actually be worthwhile to go with the subscription for unlimited washes, assuming you got your car washed weekly.
But what really aggravated me and prompted me to write a below-average review was when the touch screen wasn't registering my input at all when I tried to decline the subscription membership and the upgrades.
Something must have happened recently to the touch screens, because I tapped repeatedly on the "No" button and it wouldn't take it. It's never been like that before. So I actually had to back out of my lane and try to get into the other lane next to it, and try to order up my wash there. And that screen, too, was apparently set to the lowest sensitivity level, too, because I had to press extra hard, and try multiple times before it took my input.
There wasn't even any "call button" (that I could see) to summon help, which if there had been, that would have helped. I can't believe there wasn't one. But maybe it was just too hard to see due to the display being choked with signage to sell the upgraded services and membership.
It'd be nice if they had a streamlined option that you could select a Basic wash, and then pay, in as few steps as possible.
Oh, and I almost forgot, they recently started to charge a "convenience fee" of $0.40 if you want to pay with a credit card. More nickel & dime BS.
I don't hate this business, I've been patronizing them for probably 25 years. The wash itself is decent. But being stuck on the ordering screen and unable to proceed did get me angry; they should check their screen calibration and make sure they are...
Read moreI am canceling my membership with this place because some of the staff that work there are jerks. They play favoritism with certain customers. On many occasions I will make it to the gate first and they will let certain ones ahead without waiting their turn. This happens to me today and the customer in the vehicle gave me the ill grill like so what typeface. They are unprofessional and I will just go back to the old fashioned doing the self car wash because it is uncalled for and it is very unprofessional of them. It is supposed to operate on a first-come-first-serve basis and I don't appreciate going to the gate and then someone shows up after me arr let into the gate. The light skin guy that works there is very rude and disrespectful and I sent my daughter to ask them to spray off the mats from the car and he told her no they don't offer that type of service and clearly I have been able to get my mats sprayed off before and someone else done it for me so when it was my turn to go into the car wash drive thru the light skinned guy had an attitude because we got our mats cleaned off by someone else refuse to take the brush to the back of my vehicle and put on a protector for my windshield wiper in the rear end and they always do that. Not to mention I have seen the light skin guy spray off certain customers Mats before and he definitely didn't enforce their supposable policy with those selected customers. It's just really messed up how...
Read moreNever again. Little killed pulled me in and not watching scrapes my wheels against rails. I have custom valve stem caps so they stick out a little bit nothing crazy. Never had issues going through car washes. But they don’t watch you pull in here an slamming my wheels into the rails ripped off my entire valve stem. Giving me a flat tire. I began to tell the guy about the kid pulling me in poorly but he already knew I had custom valve stem caps. An was already saying they aren’t responsible this and that. So they knew it popped off my valve stem an didn’t even try to say anything to me. The only way I knew was my tire sensor light going off an me being paranoid wanted to make sure I hadn’t picked up a nail in my tire or something in my travels. Which I am a magnet for I’ll admit. So being precautious I pulled off to the side to examine my tire for nails but found my found my valve stem ripped out. They were just gonna let me drive off with a flat tire driving a almost brand new car an ruin my entire wheel. What if I’d gone on the highway unknowing of my flat tire. It felt fine pulling out of car wash. But I could have hurt or killed myself or other because they’re not responsible for pulling me onto their rails correctly for a 30$ car wash I purchased. Highly hope you don’t choose to support a business like this. I...
