First off, we had two rooms. Had no idea there were stairs and no elevator. Luckily the first floor room went to our disabled daughter (and two more daughters) and the upstairs to us. It was a serious haul up the stairs with the luggage we brought for a 13 day cross country road trip though. The taxidermy animals displayed all about were fun to see. The breakfast room was cute but small for the number of guests that filtered through it. The breakfast did not change selections between the two mornings we stayed. Just two juice choices, waffles, sausage patties and scrambled eggs sitting in liquid, plus a small selection of muffins and bread/bagels. The lids to the hot foods were hot and hard to use without getting burned. The staff were all polite and keeping up. It was nice to use the breakfast room for our take out dinners in the evenings. The air in the rooms tended to stay on and in our room (Lewis and Clark suite) it was pointed directly in our faces when lying in bed. Our room had a larger fridge with freezer, while the downstairs one had a smaller fridge with a tiny freezer. No fans in the bathrooms. Downstairs room (Old Faithful suite) had a bench seat in the tiny shower, but no shelves otherwise so anyone who didn’t need the seat to bathe had nowhere to stand and shower and still have a shelf for toiletries. That room was also facing the parking lot and arriving/departing motor cycle noise was loud at times. Pool and hot tub looked nice but we didn’t have time to use them. Signs said the pool was off limits to kids after 10pm until midnight, just adults at those times. Location was fantastic as the Old Town Trail and Cody Nite Rodeo were just a mile or so down across the street, and the Buffalo Bill Dam was just ten minutes down the road. Walmart is also nearby in the...
Read moreI'm going to give this place high marks because of the triple queen room, which tends to get rented out frequently during high traffic times (like the time we stayed there). It was worth the upgrade. It consists of a large bedroom and living area, then tucked away behind the TV wall is a kitchenette sink and counter area, and then behind a door is the bathroom (which is handicap accessible size). The interesting thing about this room is the private door to the pool. My kids loved it! And it made it super convenient the next morning when they wanted to swim before we checked out. Also, the stuffed live-animals were the real deal and quite appealing and interesting! Originally, I thought those animals would be too much, from other pictures I'd seen, but no- they add to the Yellowstone theme as my son and I went around and picked out the animals we saw earlier that day in the park! We had a blast! Overall it was a good place to stay. Several amenities. Noise wasn't too loud either, especially considering we shared a wall with the pool. I'd stay there again. And please excuse the messy photos, I grabbed these just as we were leaving this morning. Lastly, the coffee and hot water (for tea) was available 24/7 in the lobby. Props to the staff for keeping it well stocked and tidy! And breakfast wasn't too shabby either. (The eggs were watery and came from powder, we think; but the yogurt and waffles and...
Read moreIf you want rude behavior from staff, stop here. The chic manning the front desk should not be in the customer service industry. When I asked her name, she refused to give it to me. The issue - Upon arrival the evening before, I asked about the gym, as it states there is a fitness center. My husband is 100% disabled vet, Partially paralyzed on his right side - he is in severe pain every day and needs his “physical therapy”. Therefore, we find hotels with gyms. The lady at night (nice Lady with good customer service skills) told me they had a deal with a gym down the road and I could get passes in the morning. Mind you, we don’t get to the gym til 1030-11 most days anyway. Again, it takes my husband time to get going. At around 10am, we had our gym clothes on and pre workout drinks ready, put our luggage in the car and was going to head to the gym. My husband went to the desk to get the passes. She sarcastically said, “well guess you should’ve thought about that before you checked out.” He left. I went in and asked. Same thing - rude behavior. I asked for the passes, she said “you’re no longer a guest here”. I told asked her name, she refused to give it. The housekeep chimed in and gave me hers - Georgia - rude too. Wyndham has...
